I'm surprised I haven't seen this yet, but the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, which covers Utah, ruled that laws banning women from being topless in public are unconstitutional since they only apply to women.

I know someone with the Salt Lake Police Department who said they are expecting church members to be a real challenge. Some protest group(s) will take advantage of this legal opportunity when they protest General Conference and some church members will succumb to the temptation to act out against the protesters.

I have been saying for a few years now that men will need to be able to see topless women and not be affected by it. I feel very sorry for the men who have not yet matured their sexuality.

If they are inside the conference center, the ruling by the 10th Circus will not apply since it is not a public building. The offender will simply be given a trespass notice and told to leave and never return. When they don't leave, they'll be removed, forcibly if necessary, by security and the police will then arrest them for trespass and causing a disturbance in a house of worship. After that, hopefully, they'll go before a Church court to explain their actions.

Great, and your comment had literally nothing to do with what I was trying to say. Don’t get sucked into the new trend of men engaging in competition with women. My comment was not male bashing but sincere, I fear this scenario and feel sorry for men who are not yet ready to stand against it.

I imagine having to walk through Sodom and see all that evil up close and in your face was a real spiritual battle and you had to be stronger and not lured into the scenes for a selfish glance or curiosity or lust. You had to see it for what it was, not what body parts were exposed.

I get that some people crack jokes when they don’t know what else to say but the guys on here posting breast jokes are missing the mark. Do people even know what the heck is going with regards to the spiritual battle? And I do worry about men who procrastinated their repentance of porn use and have not become truly strong men in the Priesthood. Topless women will be really really bad for men who still have lust and weak self control or who still think of women as sexual objects to exploit.

So yeah, the fact that men are just joking about female body parts and joking about it in general worry me that the maturity and understanding is not there that in a time when far too many men struggle with morality in their heart and use porn that we’re just sitting here joking.

It seems to me that it will be the men who have never seen porn that will be most shocked and lacking in control when a topless woman walks by in the park. Not the men who have seen enough to have become de-sensitized to it.

Forgive me for saying so, but most women aren't sexually attractive, so unless a bunch of twenty something year old co-eds go around with their shirts off, i don't think this is going to be a huge problem. More like watching National Geographic, if you ask me...

One of many problems with our “church” culture is our prudishness. A breast is a breast. Mormons would really support berkas with our mentality that bare shoulders leads boys to masterbate..........living in Europe was a great experience, lots of nudity, yet no leering or judgement. I guess this is what eventually happens when your daughter gets two earrings in one ear!
.....precepts of men, mingled with scripture, in our church..........and most don’t see it.
