Antichrist & LDS Short Sightedness
When Jesus returns he receives the kingdom. But only after he defeats the Antichrist. Jesus will rule the fifth kingdom and it will be an everlasting kingdom. The fourth kingdom is ruled over by Antichrist. Jesus receives the fourth kingdom that thus becomes the fifth kingdom.
So what I do not understand is why the Church seems blind to the fact that at some point before Jesus returns the Antichrist will become the president of the Church.
1Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

IMO, I don't think there will be one SPECIFIC person who we can call the Anti-Christ... unless its Satan himself in a pseudo-mortal form. To me, the Anti-Christ is more of a state of mind for an individual to be in, than an actual specific person.

The Antichrist and the antichrist spirit are different. The Antichrist will be a specific Satan possessed individual in my opinion.Durzan wrote: ↑July 1st, 2019, 2:28 pmI think I'm missing 95% of the necessary context to understand or address your question.Michael Sherwin wrote: ↑July 1st, 2019, 2:23 pm When Jesus returns he receives the kingdom. Re: Antichrist & LDS Short Sightedness
The Lord will bring judgment on the LDS Church and Christians first, no doubt.
My understanding is the anti-Christ will be the head of the One World Church/religion and government. All religions will be forced to combine or go under ground during the beast system.
Many Christians who remain, will be martyred. I believe the remnant of the LDS Church will be starting the New Jerusalem with other Christians who survive.
Prophet Nelson is actively encouraging individuals to come closer to Christ, in preparation for the persecution that is coming to all who believe in Christ, no matter the denomination, but of course focused on LDS members, since that is who he talks to.
Because the Church in general does not preach about end times, and leaves the studies to the individual, many will be shocked at what is coming, I believe.
But, like any Christian, leaning into Christ, seeking the gifts of the Spirit, and repenting through out the day, everyday, will allow those who are true followers to survive those days.
I do believe there will be one person as an anti-Christ, but also followers of the false prophet, and the one world government will be anti-Christ.

SON OF PERDITION
- June 29, 2019
Daniel 11:36-39
36 And the King shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
38 But in his estate shall he honor the God of forces: and a god whom this fathers knew not shall he honor with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.
Transcript:
My son, there has been MUCH SPECULATION on who the Son of Perdition will be. Some say it is Obama, some say Erdogan, some say Macron, some say it's Kushner, but I SAY I have NOT REVEALED who the Man of Sin will be.
I ask you, My Children, even if you knew who he was, what can you do about it?? You cannot pray him away, you cannot ask that I remove him from power. My Word cannot be changed from what I have said about this man.
These men mentioned above, as all men who are against Me, are "Antichrist." I have said in My Word that the Spirit of Antichrist moves among men who do not believe in and follow Me. I also ask, why waste what little time is left looking for the Man of Sin when there is so much more to do??
My son, MANY of My Children have said I have revealed him to them in dreams and visions. I have NOT REVEALED who he is to anyone.
This man will be SELECTED by "Corrupt Jews" (who are like the Pharisees who rejected and plotted to kill Jesus) to bring the world into subjection of the Sanhedrin! Just as they REJECTED ME, they will gladly ANNOUNCE and PROMOTE THIS MAN AS A SAVIOR TO ISRAEL!!
He will allow the temple to be rebuilt and sacrifices to resume in earnest! The blind fools will accept the Man of Sin as their savior, all the while it is written in Daniel - who and what he is!!
My children, this subject has DIVIDED MY BODY long enough! I ask you to STOP looking and trying to figure out who he is and concentrate on WHO I AM!!
There is MUCH WORK to be done in the Harvest Fields to get ready for My Return!! I say unto you, what is written will surely happen, so PREPARE your houses for the judgements coming soon upon your nation!
I tell you, when they BEGIN IN EARNEST, you will NO LONGER CARE who the Man of Sin will be!!! You will just be trying to survive and STAY CLOSE TO ME!!
My son, I AM coming soon, and I will destroy the Man of Sin, the Son of Perdition! My Children, watch and pray that you will be found worthy on that day!!
I love you, My Children, BUT LOOK FOR ME -- NOT HIM!!!
Amen.
Messiah Jesus

Re: Antichrist & LDS Short Sightedness
Here is the dilemma. Either the LDS Church is the kingdom of God on earth as the LDS Church claims or it is not. If it is then the man of sin will at some point rule over the kingdom meaning he will rule over the LDS Church. Another teaching of the LDS Church is that it will one day become the one universal Church. So if one as a member of the LDS Church believes that the man of sin will come to power in any other church then they are not putting together the pieces correctly and falling for the deception. And think of it this way. The LDS Church at only 16 or so million is a little horn compared to the Catholic church or the larger protestant churches. And the Antichrist is a little horn among a one world conglomerate of what, churches?ampeterlin wrote: ↑July 1st, 2019, 2:46 pm The Lord will bring judgment on the LDS Church and Christians first, no doubt.

D&C 10:67 shows who the belongs to the church of the Lamb of God. No one else. Those who repent and come unto Him. That is His church. That is His doctrine. So it isn't a "telestial" organization that has membership, but it is the individual and their own hearts that belong to the church or not. Thankfully I'm not the Judge, but Christ being that He descended below all and knows all about each of us does know who is a part of His church. The organization to which we belong is supposed to be road map to help us along the path, but isn't the Church - the only time it was at the beginning when the Lord was collectively pleased with the church and not individually pleased with its members.Michael Sherwin wrote: ↑July 1st, 2019, 3:05 pmHere is the dilemma. I do not see a dilemma, Christ will establish His Church and out of the remnants of followers, all will need to come to His church, including LDS members.
Be where the Lord wants you to be, and be ready to follow His direction when He says GO.

Re: Antichrist & LDS Short Sightedness
When I joined the Church, without exception, I was told by the missionaries and by everyone in my ward that the LDS Church is the kingdom of God on earth. And that the president of the church ruled over the kingdom and would turn over the keys of the kingdom to Jesus when he returns. So please address that before tearing down what I OP'd. And my OP was about Church doctrine and not about what is written in scripture as they are often not the same thing.

I can't say what I was taught when I joined the church since I was 8 and it was decades ago. Nor can I say what my ancestors were taught when they joined, but it was almost 200 years ago and they were taught by Joseph Smith. But in all that time and teaching I have never before your post heard that a future president of the church would be thee antichrist.Michael Sherwin wrote: ↑July 1st, 2019, 4:09 pm When I joined the Church, without exception, I was told by the missionaries and by everyone in my ward that the LDS Church is the kingdom of God on earth. In my short time on this forum I have heard many bizarre things and many claims that the church was in apostasy or would be. But not to the level of the prophet being the antichrist. Although I must admit that I don't read all of certain posters that get so long winded and copy and paste entire books of scripture so I maybe I have missed something. But it is not mainstream doctrine.

Yep, and there never EVER appears to be another possible interpretation to a scripture other than the one proffered by the poster.justme wrote: ↑July 1st, 2019, 4:32 pmI can't say what I was taught when I joined the church since I was 8 and it was decades ago. Zion must first come within the people before it becomes manifest outside them as a city. All saints can abide the commandments in the gospel, before the church tells them, it was always there, people could have strived to live as close to higher laws as possible, waiting on men to tell you what you should know in spirit already is lack of wisdom.John Tavner wrote: ↑July 1st, 2019, 3:25 pmD&C 10:67 shows who the belongs to the church of the Lamb of God. Is it not written the Kingdom of God is within you, know ye not this meaning, behold all who follow the gospel properly and abide by what it says living it align in spirit in frequency to the Kingdom of God through their faith, hope and charity in name of the Son. Thus the true Kingdom of God is within all righteous and it becomes manifest upon the day of Restoration/burning when the Son cleansed the world and establishes the foundation of his kingdom, which is the front-line for a greater work and not yet Heaven itself. Before it comes the wicked of the earth must be destroyed first. All must now strive repent and put more effort in to be counted worthy to stand before the Son of man.Michael Sherwin wrote: ↑July 1st, 2019, 4:09 pm When I joined the Church, without exception, I was told by the missionaries and by everyone in my ward that the LDS Church is the kingdom of God on earth. Re: Antichrist & LDS Short Sightedness
He is a mortal man subject to error as have they all been, he can be inspired by the Heavens but we also suffer errors to occur to test people. The saints if were properly fulfilling the original covenant that promised Zion, would be living by what was said in original doctrines and covenants, that being the united order and law of consecration. The Lord can turn a stone into a prophet if required, ye are meant to discern in spirit all things, the doctrines were there for each to study and apply as they felt in heart and spirit, not wait for people to tell them how to be charitable and fulfill higher laws. It saddens us but of this generation few will be able handle the day of burning due to failing to understand what the covenant actually was and live by it.eddie wrote: ↑July 2nd, 2019, 10:05 am" Waiting on men to tell you what you should know in spirit already is lack of wisdom."ThePowerofEternity111 wrote: ↑July 2nd, 2019, 9:34 amZion must first come within the people before it becomes manifest outside them as a city. So you don't believe we have a living Prophet?
As Brigham Young spoke, What a pity it would be if we were led by one man to utter destruction! Are you afraid of this? I am more afraid that this people have so much confidence in their leaders that they will not inquire for themselves of God whether they are led by Him. I am fearful they settle down in a state of blind self-security, trusting their eternal destiny in the hands of their leaders with a reckless confidence that in itself would thwart the purposes of God in their salvation, and weaken that influence they could give to their leaders, did they know for themselves, by the revelations of Jesus, that they are led in the right way. Let every man and woman know, by the whispering of the Spirit of God to themselves, whether their leaders are walking in the path the Lord dictates, or not. This has been my exhortation continually.
It is important to learn how to spiritually discern, so that ye may understand the things from God and are not, it is not the Fathers will that Shopping malls which are temples of Mammon, are built by the church, for behold understand ye not what Mammon is and where this world is located, knoweth ye not the dangers of Dark Amenti. The Son overcame the world by rejecting it, by living opposite to how society teaches mankind to live by, he lived the higher law while bearing the cup of abominations of filth and iniquity and woes, he fulfilled the covenant that people fail to understand, for what is faith if ye have not true charity, if no good works cometh of it and bring people no hope and what works truly remove a stain that came by a evil system, by using that very resource to do good in looking after the poor, needy and sick among you. Refer to Matthew 25, for mankind is accountable to each other.
So by their fruits so shall they be known, let each discern for themselves, for hardly does the Lord speak flattery unto the nations. He be a prophet but even they can error also, and do thus it also wisdom to know for yourselves, if what they speak aligns to what is already spoken by the Lord in your doctrines then heed ye it. Corrections are in process, the Light may use what is already in place, but what is spoken about the future will still play out.

There are enough scriptures on this to write a 400 page book. And there have been many books written. Most of the scriptures you are asking for are in Daniel and Revelation. And many are elsewhere. Basically all of Christendom that studies the end times understands that the ac will rule the "fourth kingdom". The everlasting kingdom, Jesus sets up, is the fifth kingdom. I'm not being evasive. It is just what you are asking for is a book. I suggest that you get a good book about the ac and false prophet.Sarah wrote: ↑July 2nd, 2019, 10:18 amWhat scriptures are you thinking of that tie this false prophet to the kingdom of God?Michael Sherwin wrote: ↑July 1st, 2019, 3:05 pmHere is the dilemma.

Re: Antichrist & LDS Short Sightedness
The Antichrist is the Darkness, he cometh after the withdrawing of the Light, thus the whole universe is effected and he will know he has a short time, He is the Son of Abaddon. To mankind he will seem a God, with power of one as imagined by them. The Dragon awaits that time to enter his empire is the draconian empire, what mankind call reptilians are part of it. So much a larger picture than mankind has ever known. Those who align in righteousness by abiding the gospel and are found with Charity, Hope and Faith having become even as Christ is, in their works they are they who have found the Kingdom of God within, for the true church of God is the righteous and thus only through the righteous can Zion be redeemed, but it will take the power of Heaven thus the mighty and strong One appointed to bring it forth in that time.Michael Sherwin wrote: ↑July 2nd, 2019, 11:54 amThere are enough scriptures on this to write a 400 page book. I fear not the Devil nor his pitiful servants, for I serve the Lord.
But, beware the Beast that lurks within the pit, and rises from the lake of fire and brimstone to destroy all in its path... for the Last Days may disturb its slumber. This Beast is not the Devil, nor is it the Anti-Christ, though the devil may seek to awaken it in a last ditch effort to cause everything Heavenly Father worked for to crumble.
The devil is our foe on this Earth, but he is not the true enemy that we will face in time. He is not the endgame, nor the greatest adversary we will face. Beware of Abalon, the ancient primeval foe of all Divinity. Beware the Beast that sleeps in the shadows.
This chess game we are playing in as pieces on this Earth is but a foreshadowing and a precursor for what long was and what will long be. As it is on Earth, so shall it will be in Heaven, as it always was, and as it always will be... through every cycle of eternity. The scriptures and prophecies have many layers, and they speak of ancient long-forgotten truths as much as they reveal the path to Eternal Life and the Nature of God.
Events on Earth mirror those that have happened and will happen in Heaven, and vice versa. So prepare yourselves. Prepare yourselves for the Days of Tribulation, on Earth... and in Heaven. Trust in God, and build up your faith, hope, charity, and courage... for the End Times are just the beginning of the coming conflict. For only those that do so will Endure the fire that is coming.

Re: Antichrist & LDS Short Sightedness
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Kingdom of God during this telestial world but it won't be in the Millennium. In the Millennium it will be the Church of the First Begotten. Some Latter-day Saints think that by simply belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and going to the temple they are part of the Church of the First Begotten. Those two churches are not the same. The LDS church is for this world, even if it is directed by the Lord. The Church of the First Begotten is for the faithful, the wise virgins, that are only halve of the LDS members as said in the 10 Virgins parable. Many Christians of other churches will flock to the Church of the First Begotten during the 7 year tribulation. Miracles will happen during these years.John Tavner wrote: ↑July 1st, 2019, 3:25 pmD&C 10:67 shows who the belongs to the church of the Lamb of God. No one else. Those who repent and come unto Him. Re: Antichrist & LDS Short Sightedness
I disagree and I believe the scriptures also disagree with you, but that is fine, people disagree. Most of what you've stated is tradition and culture (in regards to the telestial church being the actual KIngdom of God on Earth) not scripture in my opinion. The Lord tells us to repent and come unto Him, otherwise we are not a part of His church. This means we are to develop fath, repent, be baptized (by water) - if we are meek and lowly of heart or in other words have become as a little child before this then we are promised the baptism of fire and the gift of the Holy Ghost. We are then commanded to become as a little child (or maintain becoming a little child i.e. endure to the end). That is the Doctrine of Christ. This is how we have the Kingdom of God within us and among us. It is to be called by Christ's name and sealed His. The church is merely supposed to show us how. The Gospel is about becoming, not doing - see beatitudes.Eulate wrote: ↑July 3rd, 2019, 3:28 amThe Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Kingdom of God during this telestial world but it won't be in the Millennium. Re: Antichrist & LDS Short Sightedness
This is interesting. The brethren in past have stated that the adversary has control over the elements in their evil spiritual state. If Satan, the great deceiver, were to gain a temporary body via possession, he not only would have his false priesthoods, he'd have a body as a conduit.Durzan wrote: ↑July 1st, 2019, 2:28 pmI think I'm missing 95% of the necessary context to understand or address your question.Michael Sherwin wrote: ↑July 1st, 2019, 2:23 pm When Jesus returns he receives the kingdom.
I believe:
1. there will be many many really compelling and deceiving Antichrists before Christ's coming
2. Satan in the end will give power to a false prophet that will work many mighty miracles and deceive if it were the very elect.
-The last thing he is supposed to do is to declare he is God and sit in a newly built temple in Jerusalem, and t hen the wrath of
God is to come down on all inhabitants.
That's my understanding. I thin we are in the beginning stages of the first point i mentioned.

You are misinterpreting what has been said by the brethren. While we believe there will eventually be just one religion, we believe this is after Christ comes and becomes literal king of heaven on earth. While it has been said that a new Jerusalem will occur before or around the time that old Jerusalem repents and converts to Christianity (an entire nation in a day)Michael Sherwin wrote: ↑July 1st, 2019, 3:05 pmHere is the dilemma. While this is all happening, the Antichrist will be uniting his false one world church. I think the Come follow me is a start to help us as members be prepared to only receive the gospel in our homes much like the early Christians did in the times after Christ died and was resurrected.

Re: Antichrist & LDS Short Sightedness
According to leaders in the past 200 years as well as revelations and 2 Thessalonians 2, the only "Great Apostasy" was to be the one directly after the apostles died after which his church would be restored. "and i saw another angel fly declaring the everlasting gospel.justme wrote: ↑July 1st, 2019, 4:32 pmI can't say what I was taught when I joined the church since I was 8 and it was decades ago. And that the president of the church ruled over the kingdom and would turn over the keys of the kingdom to Jesus when he returns. So please address that before tearing down what I OP'd. And my OP was about Church doctrine and not about what is written in scripture as they are often not the same thing.
Modern day revelation as well as the book of Mormon indicates that apostasy will be an individual matter in the last days. The parable of the 10 virgins is a prophecy focused on the members of the fully restored gospel. only half had their lamps filled. in some areas, we see as low as 28% active church attendees, other 50% and others 85% but on average i'd say half that have joined have disavowed themselves from following Christ's restored gospel and their lamps have been emptied.
Some say that the scriptures state Satan and his false prophet will deceive the elect, but that is mis-quoted. the scriptures say"and he will perform miracles and would deceive [if it were possible] the very elect.
-this is indicative that Satan in whatever form and his false prophet will perform such mighty miracles that if he could (can't
because we'll have the spirit, he would seek to deceive us.
