President Nelson Warns the Saints

Post by LdsMarco »

I apologize if this was already posted/discussed in another thread but what are your thoughts in this live video of President Nelson warning the Somoan Saints?

He states there are difficult days ahead and also mentions of a deception coming soon.

Under threatening skies and with the Apia Samoa Temple in the background, President Russell M. Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints warned Samoans Saturday night to keep themselves and their children safe.

“There are difficult days ahead,” the 94-year-old prophet said at an outdoor devotional in the South Pacific island nation’s capital city. “Please protect your children. Help them to know the Lord and love Him and keep His commandments and be free from the shackles of addiction and bondage.”

For example, one consequence of climate change is the rise in sea level leading to saltwater penetration under the island.American Samoa flag

The result? Aquifers tainted with salt. Aquifers are typically saturated regions of the subsurface that produce good amounts of water to a well or spring. For many residents of American Samoa, this is their only source of water.

A research scientist at the American Samoa Environmental Protection Agency, Mia Comeros, warned of the potential impacts of climate change and the effect on the territory’s water supply, such as aquifers. “It will be a problem of water quantity and that is really important because we are so isolated and it will have impacts on the economy and public health.” According to the Radio New Zealand report, Ms. Comeros says sea level rise and storm surges as a result of climate change can bring about changes in surface and ground water use patterns, impacting the sustainability of the country’s water supply.

Proven solutions such as Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) are available now to address the needs of those affected by climate change. For example, OTEC offers 24/7 renewable energy along with an abundant water supply for drinking, fish farming, agriculture and industry. OTEC offers energy-efficient seawater cooling technology for large commercial buildings such as hotels or airports – technology that uses less than 90% energy when compared to traditional systems. Since the 1990’s, these systems have been operating at the Natural Energy Laboratory in Hawaii.

In the 1990’s, the US Department of Energy stated in its ‘Renewable Energy Plan of Action for American Samoa’: “There has been strong interest in OTEC among the U.S. Flag Territories and Commonwealth in the Pacific dating back to the late 1970s ...
President Carter set OTEC in motion, to counter OPEC’s Embargo that crippled our economy, but Bush’s Oil Buddies quickly quashed its momentum. Imported oil fueled ISIS and the rise of Islamic activities, such as 911, as the epic deception continues.

"please protect your children": human trafficking.. that's what Pres Nelson would say specifically about children & not everybody... if this was about a tsunami, etc he would phrase it differently. the "climate change" idea may or may not be "true" however the attention on climate change is a red herring to keep attention off the worse danger from being noticed. It's human trafficking. Remember the talk by Boyd K Packer about the snake that ate the baby birds. His first meaning at that time was probably about TV, media, etc, for Americans & Western culture, but it applies now in relation to what Pres Nelson is warning. If we care at all about our own children we need to pray for the parents & their children in Samoa who may not know this danger is right in their backyard. We may not be able to run to Samoa, but we can surely pray fervently for other people's children. If Samoans are more innocent in nature they can be taken advantage of with more subtlety. We Americans need to draw from our own street-smarts (Elizabeth Smart) & pray for the young mothers & young fathers of Samoa for their children.
