We've got war with Iran on the horizon.
Then, look at the Israel peace deal that was leaked yesterday or the day before.
It's an ultimatum. If Hamas and Islamic Jihad reject it (and if Abbas accepts it at the same time), the USA will help Israel destroy Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

I believe the deal will be accepted, question is CAN it be honored. They are going to get so many perks with this deal they would be completely dumb to reject it. Unfortunately, peace cannot be bought with gifts and money so it will likely just strengthen them to attack harder down the road.

If by "accepted" you mean on paper but insincere, I believe that's possible but not likely with Hamas and Islamic Jihad. I could be wrong.
Regardless of whether or not they accept it on paper, I don't think they'll actually accept it where it matters. I guess we'll find out.

There seems to ample evidence that the latter-day gadiantons desire another world war that will further persuade Americans and other Western nations to give up their core liberties and accept subservience to a world government. At least a few investigative journalists have expressed their reasons for believing and stating their convictions that both WW1 and WW2 were fomented for this purpose. My own studies and investigations have convinced me that the American people were deceived into going from opposing involvement in both WW1 and WW2 to supporting those wars by deceptions planned and executed by conspiracies that included President Woodrow Wilson and Franklin D. Roosevelt and their advisors / "handlers". And I'll venture to say the same for the Cuba fiasco and the Vietnam War. And I'm satisfied that the Soviet Union and Communist China were built into major military powers with American money and technology to serve as enemies necessary to draw America and other western nations into a WW3.

I further believe that some past latter-day prophets and apostles were very much concerned about the directions America was headed in and tried to persuade Church members to take actions that could have awakened other Americans to the globalist conspiracy and thru the ballot box alone could have placed/voted people into the executive and legislative branches of the U.S. FedGov who would have steered us away from tyranny and wars designed to force Americans to submit to a world government. I remember Presidents McKay, Clark, and Benson as being especially concerned about these things.

I have struggled to accept the recent latter-day Prophets not continuing those admonitions, and have concluded that we are beyond the "point of no return" and at some point will probably have to endure a WW3 and increased tyranny that will follow. Will Latter-day Saints be spared from the ravages of whatever results from our general failure to heed the warnings and admonitions that could have spared us?

"We do not say that all of the Saints will be spared and saved from the coming day of desolation. But we do say there is no promise of safety and no promise of security except for those who love the Lord and who are seeking to do all that he commands.
It may be, for instance, that nothing except the power of faith and the authority of the priesthood can save individuals and congregations from the atomic holocausts that surely shall be." (Elder Bruce R. McConkie, Welfare Session, April 1979 General Conference).

I'm going to say that your analysis is pretty much on target. The reality is that the globalist have been working on setting up the coming WWIII for quite some time and America is at present a sitting duck. The traitors in our government have worked to weaken America and strengthen our enemies since before most of us were born. At present, our policy, which was established during the Clinton administration is to absorb the first strike before responding. Joel Skousen talked about this in a recent youtube video, I think it's called P60 or something like that.

Trump has been working to set in motion the analysis of what it would take to harden our electrical grid against EMP and then upgrade it. Of course, Russia and China know this as well and realize that the window for maximum damage from a nuclear attack will be closing and so they must act soon.

Trump is not exactly making friends with Russia and China, China is on the losing end of the trade war and I hear that we are planning to export oil to Europe which will undermine the Russian economy. I think both Russia and China are motivated to act soon. However, when this nuclear attack on America comes it will fulfill Ezra Taft Benson's prediction wherein he said:

"if the gentiles on this land reject the word of God and conspire to overthrow liberty and the Constitution, then their doom is fixed, and they ". . . shall be cut off from among my people who are of the covenant". (1 Nephi 14:6; 3 Nephi 21:11, 14, 21; D&C 84:114-115, 117)

“The great destructive force which was to be turned loose on the earth and which the prophets for centuries have been calling the "abomination of desolation" is vividly described by those who saw it in vision. So, how close are we? Well, we're in a 42-month countdown to the abomination of desolation via nukes, that will expire in the spring of 2020. We only have months to go! And where will we go from there?

Well, we will have to follow Isaiah's advice and stay inside, said he:

20 ¶ Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.
21 For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

This is the time when home study will become most applicable, we won't be able to go to Church "until the indignation" (radioactive fallout) "be overpast". And what will we have to do after that?

The answer, trek back to Jackson County in time for the Lord's appearance at Adam Ondi Ahman. I think AOA is what President Nelson was talking about when he said:

"Our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, will perform some of His mightiest works between now and when He comes again. We will see miraculous indications that God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, preside over this Church in majesty and glory."

I think President Nelson sees and talks about these events from the perspective of Elder McConkie who saw AOA as preparatory to the Second Coming and that the actual Second Coming is to the Jews. Says President Nelson, "God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ" shall "preside over this Church in majesty and glory."... "between now and when He comes again".
