Latter-day saint posts abortion poll on Facebook, gets swarmed by "rabid" trolls

You may remember the SLC cop who asked to switch shifts or duties with another cop because he didn't want to participate in the gay pride parade several years back (he was willing to provide security to protect the free speech but didn't want to be an active participant in the parade itself as part of the motorcycle squad, or whatever it's called). Switching was common practice, but his leadership denied it and tried to force him against his deeply held religious beliefs. They ended up parting ways, to put it mildly. It made national and international news, and helped bring attention to a SLC leadership pattern of bigotry against the religious, and especially the restored church of Jesus Christ.

Anyway, he posted a poll on Facebook a couple days ago that asks this question:
Do you believe men should be able to speak out against abortion? I want to get more than just my FB friends on here, so please share the poll. Be nice people. You can argue your point without name calling.
https://www.facebook.com/ericmoutsos/po ... 8440094352

When the poll had gained about 500 responses, it was 95% yes and 5% no.
Then someone shared it with a pseudo-feminist group. It quickly (within a few hours) gained several thousand votes and went about 35% yes 65% no.
Then pro-lifers really started sharing, and it went about 55% yes and 45% no.
The deathers have upped their game and it's now at about 48% no and 52% yes, with 54,000 votes, 3800 Comments, and
1100 Shares.

The comments became a cesspool of hate speech, ad hominem attacks, and "I wish you were dead" comments.
As usual, the majority of the sensible, civil comments came from pro-lifers. There were a few sane comments from deathers, but I would say the vast majority so far have been uncivil to say the least. Many of the comments were deleted and the trolls blocked, says the OP, and I don't blame him based on a lot of what I read.

So, two questions and one ask.

1. Why is it that issues like this cause "feminists" (in quotes because there's nothing feminine about what they're doing) to behave like ravenous hyenas?
2. Do you believe that men should be free to voice an opinion on abortion?

The ask is if you'll consider voting on the poll and sharing it.

Read Freud's "Civilization and its Discontents." He spells it out quite well:

http://www.historyguide.org/europe/freu ... tents.html

If someone gets to the stage of seeing you not only as an outsider but also a threat they will fire all sorts of hostility at you. It reminds me of wolves. Inside the pack a wolf is very loyal to its members. If faced with another pack they will fight and kill the competition. They will grab their opponents by the throat and not release until the opponent is dead. Humans are not so different. This is why there are clear warning signs that if things get nasty that sweet liberal woman who teaches kindergarten, or the guy who packs your groceries and has a liberal sticker on his scooter, or the owner of the local bakery who donates to liberal causes could become as lethal as the people who helped Stalin round up people for the freight cars to death camps in Siberia.

All of your questions can be answered in scriptures.

1) 2 Nephi 28:28 And in fine, wo unto all those who tremble, and are angry because of the truth of God! For behold, he that is built upon the rock receiveth it with gladness; and he that is built upon a sandy foundation trembleth lest he shall fall.

2) Yes

I visited the polled, voted, and shared.

He's a great guy.
Yep, looks like it was removed. I don't blame him if he took it down. I wouldn't be surprised if he was getting many death threats.

I saw this poll the other day and I voted 'Yes', as well. Of course the father should have a say - the baby is his just as much as it is the mother's. My theory on feminists is that they have zero control over their own lives, so they desire to control everyone else's. Bitterness and hate inevitably ensue, as they discover they have no control over other's lives either (except for tiny, defenseless humans in the womb, which is why they are so rabidly pro-abortion).

We like to think we are reasonable and rational beings, but I don't think we are. Reason is actually a by product of the emotions, and emotions were created to help us survive. And emotions are a by product of our reptilian brain that controls the parasympathetic nervous system, the reactive type thinking. Again, without it, we couldn't survive.

So when someone is thinking with their mammalian brain which is with their emotions and you challenge them with reasoning, they will side with their emotions as a self defensive mechanism.

This is why I believe before you can challenge someone's rational beliefs, they have to feel emotionally safe, because if they don't, they turn into survival mode which is kill or be killed.

Agree with your adversary whilst in the way with him.

All these unreasonable responses that typically glue together the liberal movement are spawned from an ideaology that triggers what I believe is some sort of truama in the collective psyche.

Why in the world would women not want the men's opinion on abortion unless she has a distrust of men. This is not based on truth but is based on fear. So where is the fear coming from? I assume it must be past abuse. And abuse tends to spawn abuse.

So if the feminsts have a common ideaology based on fear of men because of past abuse, then if they don't resolve it and let it go, they will become the abusers next.

1) Because feminists have adopted beliefs promulgated by Satan.
2) Absolutely yes.

1. Because they want to dictate your behavior and not being able to leaves them feeling powerless and they crave power.
2. See bill of rights First Amendment, of course they should and they can and I do.
3. I tend to hate polls because they are almost always constructed in a way that is seeking a certain type of response or group of limited responses, this irritates me.

Moloch - the god of the Democrats/leftists/socialists/etc. - is certainly alive and well. It's telling that he admits abortion is actually killing a person, rather than the nonsense spewed by most, that "it's just a bunch of cells; it's not human".

MAY 01, 2019
Alabama Democrat gives horrifying statement on abortion: 'some kids are unwanted, so you kill them now or you kill them later'

An Alabama state lawmaker issued a truly disturbing statement while defending women's right to abortion during a Democratic filibuster on the House floor, just before a pro-life bill overwhelmingly passed.

State Rep. John Rogers (D) was one of the few Democrats who hadn't already walked out of the contentious session when two of their proposed amendments were rejected.

His frustration was evident, and his remarks were chillingly callous.

All I'm saying to you is it ought to be the woman's choice," Rogers said. "I'm not about to be the male telling a woman what to do with her body. She has a right to make that decision herself. Through rape or incest. Some kids are unwanted. So you kill them now or you kill them later. You bring them in the world unwanted, unloved, you send them to the electric chair. So, you kill them now or you kill them later. But the bottom line is just that I think we shouldn't be making that decision."

Students Dance Around, Mock Cemetery For The Unborn: 'Look, There's Mine Right There!'
"Stop, hey, hey, what's that sound, all the fetuses are in the ground!"

Earlier this month, Planned Parenthood-supporting students at the University of Texas-San Antonio giddily mocked a pro-life group’s display known as the “Cemetery of the Innocents,” which is a dedication to the unborn killed by abortion.

The Students for Life chapter that created the display caught the vulgar mockery from members of the school’s Students United for Planned Parenthood group on video.

“Stop, hey, hey, what's that sound, all the fetuses are in the ground!” sang one female student, dancing in the mock cemetery. She also led chants with the other pro-abortion protesters in support for Planned Parenthood and bragged about getting an abortion herself. "Look, there’s mine right there!” she said, pointing to one of the crosses representing a killed unborn child. Another female student joked that they should “kiss in the fetus graveyard” and said getting an abortion is her biggest “kink,” according to StudentsForLife.org.

In a report posted to the pro-life group’s website, Sarah Zarr, the Texas Regional Coordinator for Students for Life, said the protesters took to their display immediately after it was set up. “Some of the members came to talk to us but would not have dialogue they just wanted to shout their points at us. One girl told me I was using my white privilege and ‘wasn’t allowed to be out there talking about this issue when it affects black women,’” Zarr recalled.

The group also had a table with pro-life literature set up. A male protester picked up three stacks of literature from the table and ran off, said Zarr. A pro-life student at the table named Mica chased after him and asked for their materials back, but he “threw it all in the gutter,” she claimed.

“We then went and filed a police report and the police said they couldn’t do anything because we were handing out the info he didn’t technically steal even though we said not all of it was to take,” Zarr said. “He finally let us a file a police report but said charges can’t be made until they investigate.”

Last month, a Cemetery for the Innocents set up by the University of Michigan Ann Arbor’s Students for Life chapter was desecrated by pro-abortion activists. In video captured by the pro-life group, a female abortion activist is seen picking up pink crosses from the display and placing them in a black trash bag.

"Is there a reason why you're doing this?" Kaylena Wiederhold, Students for Life’s Michigan regional coordinator, confronted the activist.

"We disagree with it," responded the pro-abort.

Wiederhold contended, "Okay, but this isn’t your property,"

"We know that having a conversation isn’t going to work," the vandal said in response.

But when an officer approached the activist, she changed her tune, telling authorities she was merely "cleaning up" "garbage” on campus.

"We were just cleaning up this garbage on the school campus, but we've realized that apparently this is someone's property. And you're telling us to leave it, I’m assuming?” she said.

“Correct. And they do have a permit, like she explained to you,” the officer answered.

Yeah but the good news is that liberal usually hates and thus doesn't own any guns...usually.

This makes me want to scream out to Heaven for vengeance, or just sit with my face in my hands and cry. When will it end? The older I get and the more I learn about this despicable action makes me sick to my stomach.

Its largely true. I don't know about Utah but in the PNW the screeching Antifa SJW types are anything but firearms enthusiasts, in fact it's due to their idiocy that so many bad gun laws have been passed here recently.
