IMO anytime a congressman or woman votes to send American servicemen and women into harms way they should be required to send one of their own children or grandchildren.

Too clickbaity for me to see it as being credible, I AM. While there may be some truth in it, chances are you are overstating what actually is happening over there.
DISCLAIMER: I do not pretend to know exactly what is going on with this situation.

Tungsten was fundamental to US involvement in Vietnam invasion and war.
Coltan may serve the same impetus in Venezuela.

The corporations must have control over the planet's rare earth resources.

I'll have to agree,
but it's not me that's overstating it,
I haven't even said ANYTHING, or put my opinion at all.
*** edit - (actually, I do think that the title of the OP should be changed -
I just copied it from one of the videos) *** edit - done
I'm just posting what I see in the news.
So I really don't particularly agree or disagree with any one point of view.
But just by the footage, we can see that there is definitely some type of protest and fighting.
who against who - and why - who knows ?

I'm frankly surprised the Venezualians have the energy to kick up that much of a fuss with all the starvation going on.

Too much downside for the US to be involved in actually supporting a coup.
Much better to continue to let Venezuela fester and topple because of the Communist/Socialist policies... (demonstrates how lame socialist policies are...).
In other words, the US would gain much more ground leaving Venezuela crash and burn on their own, than foment a coup where the only recognizable alternate is a Socialist who would inherit all the disastrous issues the current Venezuelan administration has adopted; and not be able to turn the country around anyway.
If the news is coming from Main Stream Media, then it is definitely biased and being used to discolor the issue, or (more likely) draw the public's focus to something else (sleight-of-hand / Smoke-and-mirrors). The MSM is hungry for anything else than the eternal discussion on the Mueller Report and attendant circus acts surrounding it.

You noticed that, too? The people on the street look pretty healthy to me. Most have cell phones and other expensive items, as well.
Of course there is much more to US involvement than we are told.
Look into the uses of coltan if interested. It's one big reason we want to get ahead of China & Russia on that particular score.
