We know the city of Enoch will return to earth, is it a part of NJ?
According to what is known as Pangea, where is the NJ supposed to be built

Wilford Woodruff's Journal,
30 March 1873.
(Altar of Adam at Adam-ondi-Ahman)
Again President Young said Joseph the Prophet told me that the garden of Eden was in Jackson Co., Missouri, & when Adam was driven out of the garden of Eden He went about 40 miles to the Place which we Named Adam Ondi Ahman, & there built an Altar of Stone & offered Sacrifice. That Altar remains to this day. I saw it as Adam left it as did many others, & through all the revolutions of the world that Altar has not been disturbed. Joseph also said that when the City of Enoch fled & was translated it was whare the gulf of Mexico now is. It left that gulf a body of water.

There is some conflict between the measurement of a furlong, so one side of the square is between 1400 - 1500 miles depending on the definition. In either case, the border extends into the gulf of mexico based off my rough estimate image above.

Edit:

Oh, and it's both!

Moses 7:62 And righteousness will I send down out of heaven; and truth will I send forth out of the earth, to bear testimony of mine Only Begotten; his resurrection from the dead; yea, and also the resurrection of all men; and righteousness and truth will I cause to sweep the earth as with a flood, to gather out mine elect from the four quarters of the earth, unto a place which I shall prepare, an Holy City, that my people may gird up their loins, and be looking forth for the time of my coming; for there shall be my tabernacle, and it shall be called Zion, a New Jerusalem.

63 And the Lord said unto Enoch: Then shalt thou and all thy city meet them there, and we will receive them into our bosom, and they shall see us; and we will fall upon their necks, and they shall fall upon our necks, and we will kiss each other;

I was pretty close with my guesswork.

Now according to the bible a furlong is related to stadia, or 607 ft. But furlong in the dictionary states it at about 660 ft. So we have a foursquare land mass with each side at about 1380 miles to 1500 miles. Either way, NJ is huge.

Yes there will be 2 New Jerusalem's.
"Here's what Elder Bruce R. McConkie said about the city of Enoch and the New Jerusalem: "Enoch's city, with its translated inhabitants now in their resurrected state, shall return, as a New Jerusalem, to join with the city of the same name which has been built upon the American continent."

and the Return of the City of Enoch

Moses 7
61 And the day shall come that the earth shall rest, but before that day the heavens shall be darkened, and a veil of darkness shall cover the earth; and the heavens shall shake, and also the earth; and great tribulations shall be among the children of men,
but my people will I preserve;

62 And righteousness will I send down out of heaven; and truth will I send forth out of the earth, to bear testimony of mine Only Begotten; his resurrection from the dead; yea, and also the resurrection of all men; and righteousness and truth will I cause to sweep the earth as with a flood, to gather out mine elect from the four quarters of the earth, unto a place which I shall prepare, an Holy City, that my people may gird up their loins, and be looking forth for the time of my coming; for there shall be my tabernacle, and it shall be called Zion, a New Jerusalem.

63 And the Lord said unto Enoch: Then shalt thou and all thy city meet them there, and we will receive them into our bosom, and they shall see us; and we will fall upon their necks, and they shall fall upon our necks, and we will kiss each other;

64 And there shall be mine abode, and it shall be Zion, which shall come forth out of all the creations which I have made; and for the space of a thousand years the earth shall rest.

69 And Enoch and all his people walked with God, and he dwelt in the midst of Zion; and it came to pass that Zion was not, for God received it up into his own bosom; and from thence went forth the saying, Zion is Fled.

Ether 13

1 And now I, Moroni, proceed to finish my record concerning the destruction of the people of whom I have been writing.

2 For behold, they rejected all the words of Ether; for he truly told them of all things, from the beginning of man; and that after the waters had receded from off the face of this land it became a choice land above all other lands, a chosen land of the Lord; wherefore the Lord would have that all men should serve him who dwell upon the face thereof;

3 And that it was the place of the New Jerusalem, which should come down out of heaven, and the holy sanctuary of the Lord.

4 Behold, Ether saw the days of Christ, and he spake concerning a New Jerusalem upon this land.

5 And he spake also concerning the house of Israel, and the Jerusalem from whence Lehi should come--after it should be destroyed it should be built up again, a holy city unto the Lord; wherefore, it could not be a new Jerusalem for it had been in a time of old; but it should be built up again, and become a holy city of the Lord; and it should be built unto the house of Israel.

6 And that a New Jerusalem should be built upon this land, unto the remnant of the seed of Joseph, for which things there has been a type.

7 For as Joseph brought his father down into the land of Egypt, even so he died there; wherefore, the Lord brought a remnant of the seed of Joseph out of the land of Jerusalem, that he might be merciful unto the seed of Joseph that they should perish not, even as he was merciful unto the father of Joseph that he should perish not.

8 Wherefore, the remnant of the house of Joseph shall be built upon this land; and it shall be a land of their inheritance; and they shall build up a holy city unto the Lord, like unto the Jerusalem of old; and they shall no more be confounded, until the end come when the earth shall pass away.

9 And there shall be a new heaven and a new earth; and they shall be like unto the old save the old have passed away, and all things have become new.

10 And then cometh the New Jerusalem; and blessed are they who dwell therein, for it is they whose garments are white through the blood of the Lamb; and they are they who are numbered among the remnant of the seed of Joseph, who were of the house of Israel.

11 And then also cometh the Jerusalem of old; and the inhabitants thereof, blessed are they, for they have been washed in the blood of the Lamb; and they are they who were scattered and gathered in from the four quarters of the earth, and from the north countries, and are partakers of the fulfilling of the covenant which God made with their father, Abraham.

12 And when these things come, bringeth to pass the scripture which saith, there are they who were first, who shall be last; and there are they who were last, who shall be first.

Joseph Smith

First, I shall begin by quoting from the prophecy of Enoch, speaking of the last days: "Righteousness will I send down out of heaven, and truth will I send forth out of the earth, to bear testimony of mine Only Begotten, His resurrection from the dead (this resurrection I understand to be the corporeal body); yea, and also the resurrection of all men; righteousness and truth will I cause to sweep the earth as with a flood, to gather out mine own elect from the four quarters of the earth, unto a place which I shall prepare, a Holy City, that my people may gird up their loins, and be looking forth for the time of my coming, for there shall be my tabernacle, and it shall be called Zion a New Jerusalem." (Moses 7:62)

Now I understand by this quotation, that God clearly manifested to Enoch the redemption which He prepared, by offering the Messiah as a Lamb slain from before the foundation of the world; and by virtue of the same, the glorious resurrection of the Savior, and the resurrection of all the human family, even a resurrection of their corporeal bodies, is brought to pass; and also righteousness and truth are to sweep the earth as with a flood. And now, I ask, how righteousness and truth are going to sweep the earth as with a flood? I will answer. Men and angels are to be co-workers in bringing to pass this great work, and Zion is to be prepared, even a new Jerusalem, for the elect that are to be gathered from the four quarters of the earth, and to be established an holy city, for the tabernacle of the Lord shall be with them.

Now Enoch was in good company in his views upon this subject: "And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God" 21:3).

I discover by this quotation, that John upon the isle of Patmos, saw the same things concerning the last days, which Enoch saw. But before the tabernacle can be with men, the elect must be gathered from the four quarters of the earth. And to show further upon this subject of the gathering, Moses, after having pronounced the blessing and cursing upon the children of Israel, for their obedience or disobedience, says thus:

"And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind, among all the nations whither the Lord thy God hath driven thee, and shalt return unto the Lord thy God, and shalt obey His voice, according to all that I command thee, this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that then the Lord thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations whither the Lord thy God hath scattered thee. If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the Lord thy God gather thee, and from thence will He fetch thee (Deut. 30:1-4). . . .

And again (see Book of Mormon, 3 Nephi 20:22, current edition, which says), "Behold this people will I establish in this land, unto the fulfilling of the covenant which I made with your father Jacob, and it shall be a New Jerusalem." Now we learn from the Book of Mormon the very identical continent and spot of land upon which the New Jerusalem is to stand, and it must be caught up according to the vision of John upon the isle of Patmos.

Now many will feel disposed to say, that this New Jerusalem spoken of, is the Jerusalem that was built by the Jews on the eastern continent. But you will see, from Revelation 21:2, there was a New Jerusalem coming down from God out of heaven, adorned as a bride for her husband; that after this, the Revelator was caught away in the Spirit, to a great and high mountain, and saw the great and holy city descending out of heaven from God. Now there are two cites spoken of here. As everything cannot be had in so narrow a compass as a letter, I shall say with brevity, that there is a New Jerusalem to be established on this continent, and also Jerusalem shall be rebuilt on the eastern continent (see Book of Mormon, Ether 13:1-12). "Behold, Ether saw the days of Christ, and he spake also concerning the house of Israel, and the Jerusalem from whence Lehi should come; after it should be destroyed, it should be built up again, a holy city unto the Lord, wherefore it could not be a New Jerusalem, for it had been in a time of old." This may suffice, upon the subject of gathering, until my next. (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pp.84-86)

Orson F. Whitney

And what of other gospel dispensations? What of Enoch, the seventh from Adam in the patriarchal succession? What of him and his period? Was it not prophetic of our day--symbolical of the building up of Zion in this dispensation? What is said of Enoch and his city, sanctified by the Law of Consecration, without which there can be no Zion, and consequently no coming of the Christ? Moses says: "And the Lord called his people Zion, because they were of one heart and one mind, and dwelt in righteousness, and there was no poor among them." Such a condition will be again, and the Lord will come again, as he has promised:

"As I live, even so will I come in the last days, in the days of wickedness and vengeance. And righteousness will I send down out of heaven, and truth will I send forth out of the earth, to bear testimony of mine Only Begotten; and righteousness and truth will I cause to sweep the earth as with a flood, to gather out mine elect from the four quarters of the earth, unto a place which I shall prepare, an Holy City, that my people may gird up their loins, and be looking forth for the time of my coming; for there shall be my tabernacle, and it shall be called Zion, a New Jerusalem.

"And the Lord said unto Enoch: Then shalt thou and all thy city meet them there, and we will receive them into our bosom, and they shall see us; and we will fall upon their necks, and they shall fall upon our necks, and we will kiss each other. And there shall be mine abode, and it shall be Zion, which shall come forth out of all the creations which I have made; and for the space of a thousand years the earth shall rest." (Pearl of Great Price, Moses 7:60-64.)

In other words, the Zion of Enoch foreshadowed the Zion of the Last Days, with which it is destined to blend. And not only Enoch, but all the patriarchs, prophets, and apostles who have lived on Earth since Time began, will come with Christ "when the Lord brings again Zion." (Conference Report, April 1927, pp. 99-100)

Joseph Fielding Smith

When all this comes to pass, surely the earth will be in commotion as it readjusts itself to assume its paradisiacal glory. All this must come to pass, because it is a part of the great restoration, and all things are to be restored, both in heaven and in earth in this dispensation. Among these changes the City of Enoch with its inhabitants is to return and join in the grand celebration at the coming of Christ to reign, and all the prophets of old and the righteous saints shall be gathered in the grand assembly of rejoicing. (The Way to Perfection, p.310)

Chapter Four: The New Jerusalem

I love traveling to new places, but the place I look forward to seeing the most is called the New Jerusalem. It's not built yet, but it will be one of the greatest cities on the face of the earth. Let's take a look at the New Jerusalem, or Zion, and see how it fits into the Second Coming.

Remember earlier how I said that God keeps all of his promises? Here is another promise he will keep. In Moses 7:62-64 the Lord promises that he will come and live with the righteous Saints in a place called the New Jerusalem. Many of us have heard of this city, but what follows is some information that will get you excited about it.

First of all, where will this new city be built? "In accord with the revelations given to the Prophet Joseph Smith, we teach that the Garden of Eden was on the American continent located where the City Zion, or the New Jerusalem, will be built," said Elder Alvin R. Dyer (The Refiner's Fire, 17-18; emphasis added).

The Lord has said that the New Jerusalem will be built in a place called Independence, Missouri (D&C 57:1-3). Now, if you have ever been to Independence, you know there really isn't much there except for some big fields and open spaces. But some day a huge city with temples will be built there. It will be a city from which the Lord will rule the world. Elder Dyer envisioned "a temple complex such as has never been known." At its center will be the great temple of the New Jerusalem in which the Lord will make his appearance, and from which he will govern all the earth ("The Center Place of Zion," 7).

Are you excited yet? This is going to be an amazing place. It will be a city built for the coming of Christ and for the Saints to come and rest from their trials and tribulations. Elder Dyer added, "For Zion, `the New Jerusalem,' is yet to be built, and it is to be `a land of peace, a city of refuge, a place of safety for the saints of the Most High God'" ("Center Place of Zion," 8; D&C 45:66).

There won't be any need for light in this city-- no streetlights, no flashlights, no headlights on your car, no light of any kind. Elder Orson Pratt said, "Zion will not need the sun when the Lord is there, and all the city is lighted up by the glory of his presence. . . . When the people meet together in assemblies like this, in their Tabernacles, the Lord will meet with them, his glory will be upon them; a cloud will overshadow them by day and if they happen to have an evening meeting they will not need . . . lights of an artificial nature, for the Lord will be there and his glory will be upon all their assemblies. So says Isaiah the Prophet, and I believe it" (in Journal of Discourses, 14:355-56; D&C 88:7-13).

The New Jerusalem will be the ultimate city. The only power the city will need will come from the Savior himself. It's so hard to imagine such a great place, but it will be built. But who will build this city? We don't know when it will be constructed, but we do know something about the contractors and builders. The New Jerusalem will be built by(1) "the remnant of Jacob," (2) Gentiles who "shall come in unto the covenant and be numbered among . . . the remnant of Jacob," and (3) "as many of the house of Israel as shall come" (3 Nephi 21:22-23; Ether 13:2-12).

And who is the remnant of Jacob? President Marion G. Romney explained, "It is certain that the believing, repentant, righteous, faithful Indians shall be among `the remnant of Jacob' who are to build the New Jerusalem to which the Savior will come" (in Ludlow, A Companion to Your Study of the Book of Mormon, 281).

Can you imagine the incredible group of people that will build this great city? I can't think of a greater place where members of the Church from around the world could be working together as one. I love the phrase "If we build it, he will come." Wouldn't it be great to be building a city for the coming of the Lord? How would you feel as you poured cement, planted flowers, or made lunch for the workers? I can't imagine a happier people anywhere than those who will get to build a city in anticipation of the coming of Christ.

Here's another thing to be excited about. Do you remember the city of Enoch? Enoch worked so hard to get his people to repent that all of them finally did. His city became so righteous that it was taken into heaven. Think about eating at Taco Bell on that day! The whole thing would have been lifted up to heaven (Moses 7:13-21). Of course, for me, Taco Bell is heaven anyway. But what an incredible thing to happen! Enoch's city, the original Zion, was lifted up to God's presence. As cool as that sounds, we will probably never see that city again. Or will we?

Here's what Elder Bruce R. McConkie said about the city of Enoch and the New Jerusalem: "Enoch's city, with its translated inhabitants now in their resurrected state, shall return, as a New Jerusalem, to join with the city of the same name which has been built upon the American continent. When this earth becomes a celestial sphere `that great city, the holy Jerusalem,' shall again descend `out of heaven from God,' as this earth becomes the abode of celestial beings forever" (Doctrinal New Testament Commentary, 3:581).

I can't wait for the opportunity to see that happen! One city will be built on earth for the coming of Christ and the other will descend from heaven to join it and all the righteous Saints. The tenth article of faith states that the New Jerusalem will be built and Christ will reign personally upon the earth. The New Jerusalem will be the capital city for the righteous--a city where promises will be fulfilled and where we can find peace and rest.

It will be an incredible time when people march together to the New Jerusalem. Orson Pratt said:

We shall go back to Jackson County. Not that all this people will leave these mountains, or all be gathered together in a camp, but when we go back there will be a very large organization consisting of thousands, and tens of thousands, and they will march forward, the glory of God overshadowing their camp by day in the form of a cloud, and a pillar of flaming fire by night, the Lord's voice being uttered forth before his army.

Such a period will come in the history of this people, and when it arrives the mountains and the hills will be ready to break forth with a loud voice before the Lord's army, and the very trees of the field will wave to and fro by the power of God, and clap like hands. The everlasting hills will rejoice. . . . Will not this produce terror upon all the nations of the earth? Will not armies of this description, though they may not be as numerous as the armies of the world, cause a terror to fall upon the nations?

The Lord says the banners of Zion shall be terrible. . . . When the Lord's presence is there, when his voice is heard, and his angels go before the camp, it will be telegraphed to the uttermost parts of the earth and fear will seize upon all people, especially the wicked, and the knees of the ungodly will tremble in that day. (In Journal of Discourses, 15:364)

How would you like to be part of that army? What an awesome experience it will be to see people march forth with the power of God to build his city. Imagine the day when leaders of the Church say, "Pack your bags! We're going to build the New Jerusalem!"

Zion - The New Jerusalem will be built here on Earth.
There is NO doubt when you read these scriptures.

D&C 45
62 For verily I say unto you, that great things await you;

63 Ye hear of wars in foreign lands; but, behold, I say unto you, they are nigh, even at your doors, and not many years hence ye shall hear of wars in your own lands.

64 Wherefore I, the Lord, have said, gather ye out from the eastern lands, assemble ye yourselves together ye elders of my church; go ye forth into the western countries, call upon the inhabitants to repent, and inasmuch as they do repent, build up churches unto me.

65 And with one heart and with one mind, gather up your riches that ye may purchase an inheritance which shall hereafter be appointed unto you.

66 And it shall be called the New Jerusalem, a land of peace, a city of refuge, a place of safety for the saints of the Most High God;

67 And the glory of the Lord shall be there, and the terror of the Lord also shall be there, insomuch that the wicked will not come unto it, and it shall be called Zion.

68 And it shall come to pass among the wicked, that every man that will not take his sword against his neighbor must needs flee unto Zion for safety.

69 And there shall be gathered unto it out of every nation under heaven; and it shall be the only people that shall not be at war one with another.

70 And it shall be said among the wicked: Let us not go up to battle against Zion, for the inhabitants of Zion are terrible; wherefore we cannot stand.

71 And it shall come to pass that the righteous shall be gathered out from among all nations, and shall come to Zion, singing with songs of everlasting joy.

72 And now I say unto you, keep these things from going abroad unto the world until it is expedient in me, that ye may accomplish this work in the eyes of the people, and in the eyes of your enemies, that they may not know your works until ye have accomplished the thing which I have commanded you;

73 That when they shall know it, that they may consider these things.

74 For when the Lord shall appear he shall be terrible unto them, that fear may seize upon them, and they shall stand afar off and tremble.

75 And all nations shall be afraid because of the terror of the Lord, and the power of his might. Even so. Amen.

Doctrine and Covenants
Section 97
Revelation given through Joseph Smith the Prophet, at Kirtland, Ohio, August 2, 1833. This revelation deals particularly with the affairs of the Saints in Zion, Jackson County, Missouri, in response to the Prophet’s inquiry of the Lord for information. Members of the Church in Missouri were at this time subjected to severe persecution and, on July 23, 1833, had been forced to sign an agreement to leave Jackson County.

1–2, Many of the Saints in Zion (Jackson County, Missouri) are blessed for their faithfulness; 3–5, Parley P. Pratt is commended for his labors in the school in Zion; 6–9, Those who observe their covenants are accepted by the Lord; 10–17, A house is to be built in Zion in which the pure in heart will see God; 18–21, Zion is the pure in heart; 22–28, Zion will escape the Lord’s scourge if she is faithful.

1 Verily I say unto you my friends, I speak unto you with my voice, even the voice of my Spirit, that I may show unto you my will concerning your brethren in the land of Zion, many of whom are truly humble and are seeking diligently to learn wisdom and to find truth.

2 Verily, verily I say unto you, blessed are such, for they shall obtain; for I, the Lord, show mercy unto all the meek, and upon all whomsoever I will, that I may be justified when I shall bring them unto judgment.

3 Behold, I say unto you, concerning the school in Zion, I, the Lord, am well pleased that there should be a school in Zion, and also with my servant Parley P. Pratt, for he abideth in me.

4 And inasmuch as he continueth to abide in me he shall continue to preside over the school in the land of Zion until I shall give unto him other commandments.

5 And I will bless him with a multiplicity of blessings, in expounding all scriptures and mysteries to the edification of the school, and of the church in Zion.

6 And to the residue of the school, I, the Lord, am willing to show mercy; nevertheless, there are those that must needs be chastened, and their works shall be made known.

7 The ax is laid at the root of the trees; and every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit shall be hewn down and cast into the fire. I, the Lord, have spoken it.

8 Verily I say unto you, all among them who know their hearts are honest, and are broken, and their spirits contrite, and are willing to observe their covenants by sacrifice—yea, every sacrifice which I, the Lord, shall command—they are accepted of me.

9 For I, the Lord, will cause them to bring forth as a very fruitful tree which is planted in a goodly land, by a pure stream, that yieldeth much precious fruit.

10 Verily I say unto you, that it is my will that a house should be built unto me in the land of Zion, like unto the pattern which I have given you.

11 Yea, let it be built speedily, by the tithing of my people.

12 Behold, this is the tithing and the sacrifice which I, the Lord, require at their hands, that there may be a house built unto me for the salvation of Zion—

13 For a place of thanksgiving for all saints, and for a place of instruction for all those who are called to the work of the ministry in all their several callings and offices;

14 That they may be perfected in the understanding of their ministry, in theory, in principle, and in doctrine, in all things pertaining to the kingdom of God on the earth, the keys of which kingdom have been conferred upon you.

15 And inasmuch as my people build a house unto me in the name of the Lord, and do not suffer any unclean thing to come into it, that it be not defiled, my glory shall rest upon it;

16 Yea, and my presence shall be there, for I will come into it, and all the pure in heart that shall come into it shall see God.

17 But if it be defiled I will not come into it, and my glory shall not be there; for I will not come into unholy temples.

18 And, now, behold, if Zion do these things she shall prosper, and spread herself and become very glorious, very great, and very terrible.

19 And the nations of the earth shall honor her, and shall say: Surely Zion is the city of our God, and surely Zion cannot fall, neither be moved out of her place, for God is there, and the hand of the Lord is there;

20 And he hath sworn by the power of his might to be her salvation and her high tower.

21 Therefore, verily, thus saith the Lord, let Zion rejoice, for this is Zion—the pure in heart; therefore, let Zion rejoice, while all the wicked shall mourn.

22 For behold, and lo, vengeance cometh speedily upon the ungodly as the whirlwind; and who shall escape it?

23 The Lord’s scourge shall pass over by night and by day, and the report thereof shall vex all people; yea, it shall not be stayed until the Lord come;

24 For the indignation of the Lord is kindled against their abominations and all their wicked works.

25 Nevertheless, Zion shall escape if she observe to do all things whatsoever I have commanded her.

26 But if she observe not to do whatsoever I have commanded her, I will visit her according to all her works, with sore affliction, with pestilence, with plague, with sword, with vengeance, with devouring fire.

27 Nevertheless, let it be read this once to her ears, that I, the Lord, have accepted of her offering; and if she sin no more none of these things shall come upon her;

28 And I will bless her with blessings, and multiply a multiplicity of blessings upon her, and upon her generations forever and ever, saith the Lord your God. Amen.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

D&C 119

1 Verily, thus saith the Lord, I require all their surplus property to be put into the hands of the bishop of my church in Zion,

2 For the building of mine house, and for the laying of the foundation of Zion and for the priesthood, and for the debts of the Presidency of my Church.

3 And this shall be the beginning of the tithing of my people.

4 And after that, those who have thus been tithed shall pay one-tenth of all their interest annually; and this shall be a standing law unto them forever, for my holy priesthood, saith the Lord.

5 Verily I say unto you, it shall come to pass that all those who gather unto the land of Zion shall be tithed of their surplus properties, and shall observe this law, or they shall not be found worthy to abide among you.

6 And I say unto you, if my people observe not this law, to keep it holy, and by this law sanctify the land of Zion unto me, that my statutes and my judgments may be kept thereon, that it may be most holy, behold, verily I say unto you, it shall not be a land of Zion unto you.

7 And this shall be an ensample unto all the stakes of Zion. Even so. Amen.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
D&C 105

4 And are not united according to the union required by the law of the celestial kingdom;

5 And Zion cannot be built up unless it is by the principles of the law of the celestial kingdom; otherwise I cannot receive her unto myself.

6 And my people must needs be chastened until they learn obedience, if it must needs be, by the things which they suffer.

7 I speak not concerning those who are appointed to lead my people, who are the first elders of my church, for they are not all under this condemnation;

8 But I speak concerning my churches abroad—there are many who will say: Where is their God? Behold, he will deliver them in time of trouble, otherwise we will not go up unto Zion, and will keep our moneys.

9 Therefore, in consequence of the transgressions of my people, it is expedient in me that mine elders should wait for a little season for the redemption of Zion—

13 Therefore it is expedient in me that mine elders should wait for a little season, for the redemption of Zion.

14 For behold, I do not require at their hands to fight the battles of Zion; for, as I said in a former commandment, even so will I fulfil—I will fight your battles.

D&C 28

9 And now, behold, I say unto you that it is not revealed, and no man knoweth where the city Zion shall be built, but it shall be given hereafter. Behold, I say unto you that it shall be on the borders by the Lamanites.

President B. Young expressed himself as being happy in the enjoyment of the opportunity of meeting with the people in the South once again. He said the people must not expect to hear him speak very much, but he trusted to be blessed of the Lord in speaking some during the Conference. He expressed his satisfaction with the labors of the people in the south, as far as he had seen, and as far as he had heard of those labors. He felt especial pleasure in the progress which had been made in erecting a Temple. He wished that the people called Latter-day Saints truly realized the great importance of the work entrusted to them. He blessed the people and all their substance. He referred, with thankfulness, to the progress of the work of God among the remnants of the House of Israel, among the Lamanites.

He said he understood that the promise of the Savior, contained in the Book of Mormon (Nephi, chap. 10, par. 1, page 479) [3 Nephi 21:22-29], was in progress of being soon fulfilled; when the remnants of Israel would build the New Jerusalem, and we, who had been born and to some extent traditioned among the Gentiles, would assist in this important work. (Brigham Young, 12 May 1876, St. George, Utah, Deseret News 25:280, Millennial Star 38:385, Brigham Young Addresses, 6:122, Complete Discourses of Brigham Young, 3073)

Brigham Young said "I am looking forward to that time when they, the Indians, will come forth to save Israel... I am very much afraid that we
will be their Servants instead of their masters, ...
When they DO come forth to save Israel , look to see them like a flame of fire, A Mighty Rushing Torrent, like the Grand March of Angles."
Young Woman's Journal, 1:263, 3 Nephi Chaps. 20 to 22; Mormon "proclamation"

"Our hope lies with the Indians" and "The Indians will yet save us," and "When they come, I fear that we will only follow them."
Brigham Young

* I found this on the internet - this shows the mentality of
the modern day Mormon; always putting us first.

copied from the internet - This is WRONG
" The Saints will build up the New Jerusalem and the converted Lamanites will assist in this work."

Actually this is opposite from the way it will really be.
When you read the word "they", in the scriptures below
the Lord is referring to us, the Gentiles, the few righteous,
that will be left (after the cleansing) to gather with
The House of Israel to build The New Jerusalem.

3 Nephi 21:

22 But if they will repent and hearken unto my words, and harden not their hearts, I will establish my church among them, (our church today)
and they shall come in unto the covenant and be numbered among this the remnant of Jacob, unto whom I have given this land for their inheritance;

23 And they shall "assist" my people, the remnant of Jacob, and also as many of the house of Israel as shall come, that they may build a city, which shall be called the New Jerusalem.

24 And then shall they "assist" my people that they may be gathered in, who are scattered upon all the face of the land, in unto the New Jerusalem.

Our only hope as Gentiles is to be "numbered with them" -
The House of Israel - and "assist" them - the House of Israel and
the remnant of Jacob in "building a city, which shall be called
the New Jerusalem"

Very few members will be left after the cleansing
and will be (allowed) to "assist" the remnants of Jacob,
and House of Israel who's land this has been given to;
to build the New Jerusalem and be numbered with them.

"Come down out of heaven." I wonder if the city of Enoch will be renamed as part of New Jerusalem. And since NJ is coming down out of heaven, what are the Saints going to build?

Now here is another question. Is the NJ we are familiar in hearing about the same one that is to come down after the earth is renewed? Read carefully the words in this chapter of Rev. 21:

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates
14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure agold, as it were transparent glass.

It sounds to me like the NJ will not be established until the renewal of heaven and earth has occurred. And we still have 1,980 years for that to happen. I base this figure on the fact that Christ comes in the meridian of time, 4000 yrs prior and 4000 yrs after. And we've used up nearly 2,020 of the latter.

So what is the NJ we expect prior to the Millennium? Or is there one at all prior to Christ' reign? Or, is it really called Zion and is like a NJ? And will ZION be of a much smaller area than the NJ revealed in Rev 21?
