I don't know if this has been discussed on here before. But a thought came into my mind about global warming today. When the for told natural disasters get real bad, will people not repent because they will think it's because of global warming and not from God. Is Global Warming being used as a tool by Satan?

I thought everybody considers global warming to be a hoax so this is a moot question. Of course the scientists can't be right about it.

Everyone in the entire world considers global warming a hoax? Are you serious? Because I would say most people believe in global warming. And when huge disasters come, and they will people will blame it on GW and not the judgements of God.

I of course believe in global warming. But many call it a hoax and blame it on mainstream media. See for instance past statements from our cheeto-in-chief.

I sometimes get confused on this forum with everything being inverted, like a permanent opposite day, and what people here believe.

So do you believe the prophecies given from the scriptures are our own demise. Do you believe that our unrighteous behavior has caused global warming?

I frankly do not understand your first sentence. Your second question requires some care. I believe that we have a sacred responsibility to be a righteous steward and lord over the earth. We as a human race have been less than perfect at that and have contributed some to global warming. To say we have "caused global warming" would be a false dichotomy fallacy.

I believe it is mostly a way to dull us from seeing things as predecessors to His second coming. I would like to agree that it is a hoax, but there seems to be enough evidence to convince the scientific community that we are at least having an impact on our environment which causes me to think it is slowly trying to give us doubt, just like medical science has caused some to see things as just normal instead of seeing the miracle that some surgeries and other advancements are.

We are in far greater danger from an Ice Age caused by the current Grand Solar Minimum.

When our Father tells Mother Earth to "let 'er rip" it will be unlike any series of storms any of us have ever seen. Think 3rd Nephi description of destruction. The only ones who will be safe (relatively speaking) are those who receive divine protection from the Almighty.

CO2 is not a significant greenhouse gas compared to methane and water vapor. Also, ice core date demonstrates that CO2 rise follows temperature rise and not the other way around. Temp is causing higher CO2 by warming the oceans. Plants are actually CO2 starved. The planet is between ice ages and higher CO2 would prevent returning. Higher CO2 would produce a paradisiacal Earth with improved greening and food production. There is no CO2 run-away effect. 200 to 400ppm causes the same degree of warming as 400-800ppm and 800-1600ppm. The same increased warming, requires a doubling of CO2 each time.

You can take every car on the planet off the road, shut down every coal fired plant, stop everything that produces emissions of any kind and the biggest polluter on the planet will still remain and that is sin and lots of it. Disasters that are happening right now and all through history are a result of it. A book that was put together over 2000 years(the Bible) ago tell us this.

Whatever the cause, in Genesis we are commanded to subdue the Earth. Earth spinning out of control, results from our sin of omission.

I believe that we are intended to wisely use the resources of the earth to spread the gospel.

The lord has also commanded us to keep our house in order. The earth is our home. Keeping your house in order means keeping things clean, and not being wasteful with the resources we are given. Using fossil fuels is not a sin but throwing trash on the ground or dumping industrial waste into a lake would almost certainly be frowned upon.

But do you believe in measurements of the Total Solar Irradiance (TSI)?? This seems to be going down quite radically:
We've just experienced (where I live) the most continuously cold, snowy Winter/Spring in my memory during my stay here over about 25 years. The cold, snowy, overcast and now rainy Spring has been off the charts. I just hope it kills off the box elder bug population .

I am 100% certain that the answer to your question is a resounding YES!

Climate change, whether colder or hotter, has been and will be used by Satan to deceive. I'm not saying it isn't changing, nor am I saying it is changing.
That's not the point. The point is how Satan is using the topic of climate change to gain more control for socialists and totalitarians.

I mean, of course we need to take care of our planet. It's our stewardship, and we should keep it clean and healthy.
But there is no reason to trade in liberty and equal justice under the law for a false sense of security.

Here's the truth. Let's say all these socialists got what they're lobbying for, and the government gets to implement every single policy designed to stop the alleged forthcoming climate disaster. Even if they did all that, they still wouldn't prevent the calamities that are on the way. No matter what they do, those calamities will affect us directly barring repentance, because they are tied to iniquity.

Because of disbelief, these people cannot be convinced. If they implemented all their policies and the disasters kept coming, they'd blame it on some unseen human-pollution variable instead of humbling themselves and repenting.

So, the correct answer to your question is that, yes, many people will not repent because the reason for the calamity will be misplaced. Instead of recognizing it as the fulfillment of prophecy tied to latter-day wickedness, they'll just grow angrier and angrier and more and more violent towards people they believe are standing in the way of the "real" solution.
