They updated it last year, but now I hear one of the YW leaders saying it's not being used anymore? Does anyone know anything about this? I can't find anything in search, other than a new manual in 2018...

I read the old one, and found this, so I am guessing it's not out yet. Apparently big changes. World-wide so I am guessing fitting it in with local cultures... probably taking more time than they originally anticipated.

They have done away with the old camp manual and have a young women’s camp guide. They are focusing more on Jesus Christ and strengthening their testimonies. To have opportunities at camp to feel the spirit. They are wanting wards and stake to do away with decorations and distractions. They still do encourage fun activities but to do them with a purpose.

Hopefully they give Women the priesthood for camps so bishopric members don't have to listen to girls scream all night long

Hmm... Maybe this is all what the YW leader was talking about--not not using the new one, but that they weren't using the old one.

The past few years, they have been basically games and cards till 2am, with some youth conference feel, for females. With the old manual, maybe no one knew how to teach anything to the YW, because no one knew how to do it, lol, so it was not being used and so, worthless. So it turned into a big party. The new manual runs with that, but turns it into at least spiritual possibilities.
