So scientist apparently took a picture of a black hole.

I'm pretty sure it's searching for it's lost ring of power. Nearby an orc army was located as well as a couple of small, human-like creatures searching for a volcano.

In all seriousness, there is another take on what this image depicts:
https://www.thunderbolts.info/wp/2019/0 ... ack-heart/

From the article:

Recently, the astronomical community announced their first "image of a black Hole". Researchers from the Max-Planck-Institut für Radioastronomie (MPIfR) in Bonn, Germany, and the Institut de Radioastronomie Millimétrique (IRAM), using the The Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) captured what they believe is an image of a black hole. What is that visual evidence?

The press release states that "…a ring-like structure with a dark central region — the black hole's shadow. This ring appears in multiple, separate observations using different imaging methods, making the scientists involved confident that they have indeed captured the shadow [of a black hole]."

An important factor missing in their observations is that the magnetic fields mentioned in the press release are electromagnetic and not simply magnetic. The only way to generate a magnetic field is with the flow of electric charge, or electricity. As written in previous Pictures of the Day, radio-bright celestial objects are not created in gravity fields, no matter how powerful. Laboratory experiments most easily produce them by accelerating charged particles through an electric field. Rather than gravity, an electromagnetic entity called a "plasmoid" is responsible for jets, lobes and other objects in space.

As far as black holes are concerned, there are no experiments that show evidence for matter collapsed to "near infinite density". It is Bennet pinches (z-pinches) in plasma-state material that form plasmoids. When the electric flux inside double layers within galactic circuits gets too high, there is a sudden "short circuit" that draws energy from the surrounding space. That energy could be concentrated from hundreds of cubic light years and then discharged in a burst of cosmic lightning, generating X-rays or flares of ultraviolet light.

Instead of a black hole, a plasmoid in M87's heart is ramping up charged particles, so electrons spiral in the electromagnetic fields and give off X-rays and radio emissions. The idea that electricity flows through the Universe is resisted by today's consensus, so its influence and attributes are unseen. It is true that some astrophysicists discuss magnetism, and some even describe what they believe to be electric currents in galactic jets. It is not a widely accepted idea, though.

The scientist who led the way on this discovery is a 29-year-old woman. She discovered the critical algorithm while a computer science student at MIT.

"Developing new, sophisticated algorithms was a crucial part of turning the EHT data into an image. These needed to not only combine the data but also filter out noise caused by factors like atmospheric humidity, which warps radio waves, and precisely synchronising the signals captured by the far-flung telescopes.

"While still studying at MIT, the computer scientist Katie Bouman came up with a new algorithm to stitch together data collected across the EHT network. Bouman went on to lead an elaborate series of tests aimed at ensuring that the EHT’s image was not the result of some form of technical glitch or fluke. At one stage, this involved the collaboration splitting into four separate teams which analysed the data independently until they were absolutely confident of their findings."

I think it might be a black hole, but to proclaim that it is a black hole and not say that it could be something else is completely irresponsible.

If you aren't impressed with the photo of a black hole, then you don't understand the gravity of the situation...

FYI, its not the black hole itself that is producing the EM waves that form the halo around the shadow; rather, the EM waves are being generated by matter rapidly spinning and heating up in orbit around the black hole, which is called the accretion disk.

The Science religion again conjuring up fantastic pictures of some fake phenomenon. All for their goal of hiding the one true God.

Sounds like someone researched all this made up Mumbo jumbo just to defend this sad science religion which their goal is to hide God and push their massive lie even further.

More like I’m a walking book of random facts who has a casual interest in Astronomy.
