Anyone notice the Prophets topic at priesthood last night. Just saying it seems like it is close to a time that we are being warned and prepared. Anyone else get that feeling?

I have thought that many of us need to repent for our personal false beliefs that affect our daily lives. If we repent and change, then we can have the Holy Ghost be more of an influence in our lives. We are in the beginning of a great sifting. We can only know, really, if we are on the right side if we have the Holy Ghost as a regular presence in our lives.
We also need the Holy Ghost to open our eyes to the deceits of the world. Then we can more easily choose the right decision.

Notice the difference between what is said to the men and the women... women are given things to do.. men are told what NOT to do..

In my own lifetime, I have known sisters to be called to repentance and warned about their present actions and disobedience. Lots of times.
However, most were not obedient to the "counsel". The whole 20th Century was full of warnings to women.

However, it always ended up that most of them did what they wanted to regardless.

Oh please....the men were told plenty of things to do and women are told of things not to do as well.
My question to you in your comparing...why do you want to be like the women? I really dont understand why men are complaining if the women are not told the same exact things they were told then get crazy at women if they...do the same thing as them

Its very very sad to hear men complain that they are told something different than the women were told at the same time throwing the word femanist around saying women are trying to make us all the same. Seems the men are just as much these days with their complaining that women are not treated like men. Cant have it both ways.

No y’all don’t have to feel like he was ganging up on all you men. He called the entire Church to repentance during Sunday’s conference.

I spent two years being told I and all elders who gave our time and resources to preach the gospel were unreliable and unspiritual compared to the precious, holy, undefiled sisters, who literally had kisses blown to them by leaders.
I've cheered on sisters during youth treks with no such support or cheering from them at any point in my life.
I've sat through Father's Day acknowledgements in Sacrament Meeting that unfavorably compare us to women.
I've heard more than a lot of teachers and other members in Elder's Quorum refer to their wives as the spiritually and maturity-superior person.
I've served in at least a couple of "Men treat women nice" events, only having been treated to one in the reverse after the high priests verbally yanked the bishop's leg off.

Sandman and Smfredy's sentiments ring very clearly with me. It is the only long-term stumbling block I've ever had in the Church.

Yeah I need to repent. I have felt an increase in God’s love lately and that always makes me feel like I need to shape up. Looking through His Eyes can be tough.
