Sharon Eubank's talk was fantastic. Make Christ center of our lives. I might not have agreed with some semantics (just personal preference), but it was a really good talk in my view and she was almost entirely on point!
Edit: My favorite talk of conference so far.

I thought her talk was well done. My wife observed that her talk was not characteristic of the typical conference speakers' rhythms.

All symbolism is founded on the savior, the adversary cannot create but can only twist symbols to his own purpose. Look for the divine symbolism of the owl.

I'm not personally concerned about it. We just don't need to give anyone the least little but of ammo.

President Nelson was kicking butt today with his address.
He did say time was running out!

After the sessions I watched Nelson walk and shake the hands of all the Apostles , but he passed up Elder Stevenson( and Rasband once) both times I noticed while shaking everyone else’s hand.
Interesting

Maybe Stevenson is the apostate apostle?!
Nah jk, but I thought it was interesting .

Ahhhh I wanted sooo badly to like all of Pres. Nelson's talk in the priesthood session. Sooo close, so close to being entirely true. Though In my opinion so far, this is the best talk given in conference so far. Something was missing though and I can't put my finger on it.
It would have been nice to hear this talk in a general session, and have social media and soap operas, talk shows (I never knew how much talk show trash there was until recently), and reality shows included for the women.
It would have been nice to hear a letter from a man trying hard to make it withOUT kids because his wife divorced him for any number of reasons this board has talked about before.
I agree. I wonder if there will be a comparable letter from a husband read in the Relief Society General meeting this October? I also wish this talk would have been/would be given in the RS General meeting, AND in one of the sessions today, as ALL members need to hear it, not just the men by any means.
Also, I thought we, the members, were instructed to NEVER write the General Authorities? So how did this letter from a wife complaining that her husband watches sports get through to the President of the Church??? I know firsthand of several cases of members writing apostles (with MUCH greater concerns than this wife), and in every single case, their letter got sent from Church HQ to the member's stake president, who then called them in and scolded them for DARING to write the apostles. So how did this letter of complaint get all the way to President Nelson's desk??
I think that recently the women's organizations have done a little better at "keeping their own in line", though when one gave a command form in her talk, it was changed to add a "Please..." to make it nicer in the printed edition.
About writing... Whoops. I've done it, more than once. But only about things that a bishop and stake president, even 70's, can't/ won't handle, and I'm quite confident they won't pass it up (due to culture, their personal beliefs, etc.). I've written about temple clothing, temple temperature, healing, missionary work, etc. Most were received, a few responded to, one responded to personally, and one ill-received. I've never had one sent back like that.
I also wrote the general RS one time about "the other side", but didn't get a response.
I imagine that the GA's receive hundreds of letters, many of them in a similar vein of marriage problems, divorce, and how God helped the writers and their families overcome problems. I think they would receive those kinds much better than doctrinal questions, complaints, where the BoM lands were, etc.

Blame it on me, I didn't eat my vitamins. Lord knew that not all members were ready and he held back the changes.

I think it has to do with allergies. They stuff so many flowers in those areas, I can hardly breathe if I go near them, and I know many others who have much worse reactions than I do. Nothing like a bunch of people sneezing all through conference...

As surreal as watching those who claim to be disciples make passive aggressive, cynical, or accusational statements towards those he has called to lead his church as they do there best to help the world come unto him?

Please do share these statements. I always see complaints like thiss but never any actual quotes , no examples, no names. Just a boogeyman.

BTW... Does anyone know anyone remotely connected to the people who film the choir? Is it possible to pass on messages:
"Stop showing the same people, over and over!" (Still, better than a few years ago, when I counted about 42 times they showed one woman, and others about 1 or 2.) Give everyone the same view time, I'm sure everyone will appreciate it much more. Not like, "I was in the TCatTS for three years, but my kids only saw me on the broadcasts six times, because I"m not 'beautiful' and I wasn't standing near anyone 'beautiful'."
"You don't have to focus on the minority to show we have diversity. Just show everyone, and people will notice them." Same thing if a guy has a moustache.

Touché! Although John the Baptist, Jesus, and also some of His disciples made accusational statements towards those called to lead the primitive church. Furthermore, consider that Peter denied Christ three times, Thomas doubted he resurrected, ALL of them deserted Him in Gethsemane, and Paul persecuted Him.

Truly humbled, grateful, and confused at the grace he so fully proffers. Heavens knows we all need it.
