Other than TPJS, p. 149 and 150 and WJS, p.19
Where does the prophet Jospeh Smith reference the second comforter explicitly?

http://lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/ ... ang=eng#36
(D&C 101:37-38)
Revelation that came THROUGH him has to count.

(D&C 67:10-13)
it's not always going to be as explicit as you want it to be.
"I God say unto you seek the second comforter". Isn't really gonna be what you should expect.
How do men obtain a knowledge of the glory of God, his perfections and attributes?" asked the Prophet Joseph Smith. His answer: "By devoting themselves to his service, through prayer and supplication incessantly strengthening their faith in him, until, like Enoch, the Brother of Jared, and Moses, they obtain a manifestation of God to themselves." (Lectures on Faith, p. 32.)
Bruce R Mconkie cites
Joseph Smith's answer from the above as "evidence" of this blessing to be able to "See God".

Then elsewhere Bruce R McConkie gives his opinion of how to make your calling and election sure, for all intents and purposes...
"What you have to do is stay in the mainstream of the Church and live as upright and decent people live in the Church—keeping the commandments, paying your tithing, serving in the organizations of the Church, loving the Lord, staying on the straight and narrow path. If you're on that path when death comes—because this is the time and the day appointed, this is the probationary estate—you'll never fall off from it, and, for all practical purposes, your calling and election is made sure." (Bruce R. McConkie, “The Probationary Test of Mortality,” University of Utah Jan 10, 1982.)
