Heathan Nations
So do Heathans equal Gentiles or are the heathans specifically the Hindus, Chinese, Asians in general? My general understanding kinda puts the world into twelve tribes, gentiles (Japheth/caucasians), ishmaelites (muslims), hamites, children of Lehi, and pretty much everyone else (mostly Asians then) as heathens. Anyone else have more clarity on this? What’s their role when the last day approaches after the times of the Gentiles are over. Are the heathans last to hear the gospel?

1. A pagan; a Gentile; one who worships idols, or is unacquainted with the true God. In the Scriptures, the word seems to comprehend all nations except the Jews or Israelites, as they were all strangers to the true religion, and all addicted to idolatry. The word may now be applied perhaps to all nations, except to Christians and Mohammedans.
D&C 45 seems to make a distinction between gentile, Israelite, and heathen.
