A county in New York has declared a state of emergency after more than 100 people have been diagnosed with measles.

Rockland County officials announced that starting at 12 a.m. on Wednesday, anyone under 18 who has not yet been vaccinated will be barred from public places until they receive the MMR vaccine or until the emergency declaration expires in 30 days. It's unclear how the ban on public places will be enforced.

Health officials have confirmed 151 reported cases of measles in Rockland County, ABC New York station WABC reported.

Measles outbreaks in the state of New York began in October and have gone on longer and infected more people than any other current outbreak in the country, according to Kaiser Health News. Through the first week of March, 275 cases had been confirmed statewide, but that number has likely risen since.

Much of the measles cases in New York have been concentrated among children of Orthodox Jewish families, many of whom attend religious schools where the vaccination rates are below 95 percent, which is the threshold considered necessary to maintain immunity, according to Kaiser Health News.

The measles vaccination is 97 percent effective, according to health officials. High-risk groups include pregnant women, children under 6 months and those who are immunocompromised or immunosuppressed.

Before the vaccine program began in the 1960s in the U.S., four million people were infected with measles every year, resulting in about 50,000 hospitalizations and 500 deaths annually, according to Kaiser Health News.

In 2018, 349 individual cases of measles were confirmed in 26 states, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. So far in 2019, 314 cases of measles have been confirmed in 15 states.

Measles cases have increased in recent years in part because of fears fanned by anti-vaccine activists, according to Kaiser Health News.

It's mostly in an unvaccinated orthodox Jewish community, though it is being spread to a few others. They want to keep them from meeting in their church because school isn't being enough to stop it.

I have some really bad news for you Johnny. I have studied pathogens. I have grown pathogens. Anybody with access to a high quality microscope can watch body tissue samples as an illness infects the body and, with a little bit of luck, find cells that have been infected to see how they compare to healthy cells. A microscope will not let you see an individual virus, but you can see the infected cells.

I can also look at the incredibly senseless things that anti-vax fear mongers spread. Like the idea that smallpox, a scourge of civilization for thousands of years (smallpox has been identified in mummies from the 3rd century BC), did not exist until somebody created a vaccine. I can look at family photos of myself when I had chicken pox as a child to prove that I had it, and show this to people who say chicken pox didn't exist until vaccines. Or I can show one of those Bible thumpers a passage in Job where it describes Job having shingles, an illness causes by the same virus as chicken pox decades after the initial infection.

People don't vaccinate their kids because you only need one of your kids to be harmed to see that they are harmful, plus there are no double blind studies to show they are safe.

Show me a study that proves vaccines cause immunity. All you will find is that they create an immune response. And studies show that having an immune response is not linked to immunity on a biological level. That is why they came up with the bogus wives tale of "herd immunity". It might as well be Russian Collusion. These diseases are appearing in fully vaccinated populations.

I don't follow main stream news if there is no research to back up what they say, and if all they can do is rely on guilt tactics, and social pressure to make people do what they want. They used to say how good smoking was for you. The mainstram media will say what they are told to say.

We use to do this with Chicken Pox. My older boys all got them because of intentional exposure from Pre-school; I wanted my boys exposed. It really wasn't a big deal, just another illness to get through and get on with life. I have only had Chicken pox as a child. Did you have measles? What was it like?

And yet 30 years ago when I started vaccinating my own children, the people at the (Utah) county health clinic sternly reminded me to wash my hands after changing my boys diapers because the vaccine would "Shed" the virus.

Shedding the virus is not pseudoscience. It is in the vaccine inserts.

For example, one should not be near pregnant women, infants, or those with compromised immune systems for 6 weeks after getting the chicken pox vaccine. One should not -get- pregnant for 3 months following getting the vaccine.

5.4 Risk of Vaccine Virus Transmission
Post-marketing experience suggests that transmission of vaccine virus may occur rarely between healthy vaccinees who develop a varicella-like rash and healthy susceptible contacts. Transmission of vaccine virus from a mother who did not develop a varicella-like rash to her newborn infant has been reported.

Due to the concern for transmission of vaccine virus, vaccine recipients should attempt to avoid whenever possible close association with susceptible high-risk individuals for up to six weeks following vaccination with VARIVAX. Susceptible high-risk individuals include:

Immunocompromised individuals;
Pregnant women without documented history of varicella or laboratory evidence of prior infection;
Newborn infants of mothers without documented history of varicella or laboratory evidence of prior infection and all newborn infants born at <28 weeks gestation regardless of maternal varicella immunity.

4.2 Immunosuppression. . .

VARIVAX is a live, attenuated varicella-zoster vaccine (VZV) and may cause an extensive vaccine-associated rash or disseminated disease in individuals who are immunosuppressed or immunodeficient.

4.4 Pregnancy
Do not administer VARIVAX to individuals who are pregnant because the effects of the vaccine on fetal development are unknown. Wild-type varicella (natural infection) is known to sometimes cause fetal harm. If vaccination of postpubertal females is undertaken, pregnancy should be avoided for three months following vaccination [see Use in Specific Populations (8.1) and Patient Counseling Information (17)].

Funny thing, no doctor told me these things when they would give my kids vaccine shots, I had to go learn it for myself. I clued in when my son kept getting chicken pox after getting the vaccine and the doctor told me that was normal. . . yes, really.

It is so frustrating when those who refuse to do their research spread misinformation to the detriment of those who have. I believe they will be responsible for their actions.

I had all those diseases when I was a kid too. It's quite a normal experience of life.

All you need to look at is ... the pharmaceutical giants give money to politicians. Why? Because they are interested in your health? Or because they are in the business of making money and want to use the politicians to further their profit line?

It's a scam. A ripoff. And the "government" becomes nothing but a joke when they simply go to the highest bidder.

There is all kinds of info that they don't tell you. I was reading it again and it turns out you need to avoid aspirin, Alka-Seltzer and even wintergreen leaves (all salicylates) for 6 weeks after.

Avoid use of salicylates for 6 weeks following administration of
VARIVAX to children and adolescents. (5.6, 7.1)

I would take a long time to go through each one line by line, this is just one example.

I am on the fence with vaccines. On the one hand, my first two suffered no ill effects from them, but I'm not so sure about my youngest. She might not have, but with her current condition, I still wished I would have waited. I don't see why newborns who are so fragile to begin with, just HAVE to be pumped full of this stuff. Especially what they use to deliver it. The problem I believe isn't just with the mercury and chemicals used to deliver the vaccine, but with eggs as well. The nurses would ask me if my kid was allergic to eggs, but she wasn't, so I figured all was well. After doing some research, I discovered that raw egg commonly carries h.pylori, which is the bacteria that causes ulcers. Ulcers are painful and cause leaky gut. The protein shell surrounding this nasty little bugger also is of the same protein that makes up corn and wheat husks. Ever notice how corn and wheat husks survived the stomach acid, which is why they show up in your kids diapers? This bug survives the acid and eats the stomach lining, so that the body tries to fight off this protein. Unfortunately, it attacks wheat and corn proteins as well, which is why SO MANY kids on the spectrum have a hard time with wheat and corn. We FINALLY discovered this with her and gave her a very powerful tri fecta of antibiodics followed by probiotics and very clean eating to build back up her system. It made a world of difference.

I'm not saying this is a cure all, but the h.pylori connection not being explored enough with these vaccines. They have saved millions of lives thru the decades, but I think it's time for a different approach. We're being careless about them, much like we have been with antibiotics and superbugs.

There will NEVER be a connection between mental problems and vaccine. Or rather none will ever be REVEALED. The medical and pharmaceutical industry absolutely can not afford to have such a bombshell come down on them. The lawsuits alone would break the healthcare industry, and if the hospitals started vanishing and doctors ran away from the profession to become cooks, or bus drivers, then the death tolls would climb.
We would all have to go back to survival of the fittest.

I don’t think it’s outrageous to look at vaccines as a religion. One that is contrary to the true gospel and in my opinion, follows all criteria to be labeled an anti-christ.

-It is entirely faith based as there is no solid, scientific proof from a double blind placebo control group study of the safety or efficacy of vaccines. Vaccines are NOT science based.
-it demands “no other God’s before me” as the religious exemption is under attack and the whole idea is that God made your immune system incorrectly and the ONLY way to health is through vaccinations.
-it requires blood sacrifice both by infant bodies used to create the vaccines and in the MANY children/people who suffer severe adverse reactions, even death all for “the herd” which is nothing more than a disproven mathematical theory.

This vaccine religion openly mocks God’s commandments to keep your temple clean and to not kill by using aborted fetal cells, adjuvants like aluminum and mercury, formaldehyde, polysorbate 80, glyphosate (RoundUp) and various unclean animal cells.

This is a fight against religious freedom and satan’s attempt at creating a world religion and bonus for him it gives him power over your body. Same song, 836353748 verse. At least he’s consistent.

Anybody with access to a high quality microscope can watch body tissue samples as an illness infects the body and, with a little bit of luck, find cells that have been infected to see how they compare to healthy cells. A microscope will not let you see an individual virus, but you can see the infected cells.

I can also look at the incredibly senseless things that anti-vax fear mongers spread. Like the idea that smallpox, a scourge of civilization for thousands of years (smallpox has been identified in mummies from the 3rd century BC), did not exist until somebody created a vaccine. I can look at family photos of myself when I had chicken pox as a child to prove that I had it, and show this to people who say chicken pox didn't exist until vaccines. Or I can show one of those Bible thumpers a passage in Job where it describes Job having shingles, an illness causes by the same virus as chicken pox decades after the initial infection.

Diseases are not some kind of mystical force where you're instantly sick and instantly contagious. All diseases have an incubation period where the live viruses in the body are rapidly multiplying and infecting the body before the host becomes symptomatic. Most diseases, including measles, are very contagious before the sick person discovers they are sick. So if you institute a nonsensical policy of letting people who are infected and contagious, but not sick yet, spread the disease to people who aren't immunized then a lot more people will get sick.

But that's the end objective, isn't it. Convince a lot of easily persuaded people that fear mongering is legitimate and real information is a conspiracy, get them to not vaccinate their kids, wait for these preventable diseases to spread, then claim the disease spread is a secret conspiracy.

Sure, but. . .

The side effects and death rate for the average population from fruits, vegetables and nuts are not as high as the vaccines.

(As a side note, many would argue the allergies to such foods has increased -because- of vaccines.)

Bottom line, anyone who wants to get vaccines is welcome to them.

(Though the argument could be made you are endangering the rest of us since vaccine shedding causes many outbreaks and increases the likelihood that exposure to the diseases would occur at a stage in life when the benign disease is more likely to have serious and lasting side effects including death.)

For those of us who have done our homework and don't want them. you'll just have to deal with us choosing for ourselves. . . the way God intended.
