New scientific evidence tells us, hot drinks cause cancer. I thought about the Word of Wisdom revelation when I heard this reported this week. The Doctrine and Covenants Section 89:9 And again, hot drinks are not for the body or belly.

It's actually quite the opposite, too.

Cold drinks are definitely not for the stomach. Older people in Asia drink warm drinks, including water, all the time, including in the summer. It's a breach of basic common-sense health to do otherwise.

Sodas, slurpees/slushes, tea, and coffee... nothing good there.

The book The China Study supports this point.

Asians, at least, appear to be onto something in regarding cold drinks--and cold foods--as unhealthy.
