Most people SAY they worship God but in practice worship praise of the world. Truth sucks - it’s hard and often not fun - but it also sets you free if you endure and realize the more hopeful side of truth.
“People say they love truth, but in reality they want to believe that which they love is true.”
It often comes down to how willing one is to admit mistakes. Not easy for any of us - but some struggle even more. Scott Peck suggested REAL evil is not making mistakes or sinning - we all do - and God created us to have weaknesses to be humble & develop faith to progress. Real evil is shifting blame to others. If it’s always someone else’s problem - you’re stuck - not progressing - damned. This happens to various degrees - not all criminal behavior - but sometimes just refusing to consider how one is mistaken and instead shooting the messenger. In that sense, the 1 forum rule helps prevent evil.
