Re: Dusty52 needs your prayers tonight
God knows what he needs. We don't need details.
I'm praying for him.

not on the open forum, I will pm if you wish and will be discreet.
No, on second thought, I can't. Please just trust me on this. I don't know him personally, it's not like that. I know he is going thru rough times. Like, the worst times.

Re: Dusty52 needs your prayers tonight
I would say he needs to know God loves him, and that he is on the earth for a reason. But if nothing else just pray for peace of mind and comfort for him.
Thanks.
Thanks.

“Man’s extremity is God’s opportunity”
Hope you get the love and support you need Dusty, and come out even better on the other side. Praying that the heat in your life helps to refine you. We all need that.

Re: Dusty52 needs your prayers tonight
Given his recent posts, I would surmise he is going through a major faith crisis. I'll keep him in my prayers regardless of what it is.

Dusty,
Remember, “this too shall pass.”
Churchill said, “If you’re going through hell, keep going.”
As Abijah implied, tough times & pain serve purposes.
Pray, pray, pray. God is there - not just Intelligent Design that permeates this world & universe - but within your soul - there to help you. All you need to do is ask. God’s waiting. I’m praying for you too. We love you!
I believe none is lost to God. There is always hope - if there is a contrite heart.

Re: Dusty52 needs your prayers tonight
I woke up this morning and saw this thread, I don't really know any of you or where you live but I have felt your prayers I feel strengthened and now have a renewed desire to seek out my heavenly father to find out who I really am
I got on my knees this morning for the first time this year
I love that song that was posted
God bless you all for ministering to my soul and thank you

Churchill didn't say it: https://quoteinvestigator.com/2014/09/14/keep-going/Thinker wrote: ↑March 14th, 2019, 10:04 pm Dusty,

Re: Dusty52 needs your prayers tonight
I am also someone who doesn't pray as often or as fervently as I should. Praying with real intention on your behalf was a great blessing for me also, and I am grateful to others who joined me in praying for relief for you, and I am most grateful that Heavenly Father sent you the help needed.Dusty52 wrote: ↑March 14th, 2019, 11:35 pm I woke up this morning and saw this thread, I don't really know any of you or where you live but I have felt your prayers I feel strengthened and now have a renewed desire to seek out my heavenly father to find out who I really am

May you continue to receive the help from above that you need, and may we all be grateful for the unseen help we get.

That's great news. I'll continue to pray for you in the coming months. And keep talking to us. Going through rough times is always better with friends.Dusty52 wrote: ↑March 14th, 2019, 11:35 pm I woke up this morning and saw this thread, I don't really know any of you or where you live but I have felt your prayers I feel strengthened and now have a renewed desire to seek out my heavenly father to find out who I really am

{Total side note; I LOVE THIS SONG. Every time my husband and I hear it (usually on Sunday's "sounds of the sabbath", we swear it is Adele
I wish I had seen this post last night before I went to bed. I prayed for Dlight last night; I would have also prayed for Dusty. But I still can today

I didn’t know you were a country boy, Shadow. Not what I pictured given your comments about some of the sticks of UT.
Now, here’s one for you, along with the reminder of being grateful to God...

Re: Dusty52 needs your prayers tonight
I love it too. I played it too much I guess so my teenagers began roasting me with it by singing it as loud as possible. I got ‘em back by singing AND DANCING to their favorite song.kittycat51 wrote: ↑March 15th, 2019, 9:04 am{Total side note; I LOVE THIS SONG. Re: Dusty52 needs your prayers tonight
I'm not
I moved to Cache Valley from So. Cal when I was 5 so that's pretty much being raised in the "the sticks" but I've never owned a pair of shitkickers (cowboy boots).
I like background music when I'm working but country is usually not a part of my repertoire. In fact, right now I'm listening to Boston's Third Stage album. 70's and 80's are my favorite. Journey is probably my favorite of all. I'm a fan of Fleetwood Mac and that kind of music. However, my wife's 'gone country' so I get a bit of that too. That reminds me, in my last area on my mission in Quesnel B.C. (also in the sticks) our apartment was in the basement. The guy upstairs, almost every stinking morning, would blast Alan Jackson's Gone Country song before he went to work. I still know the lyrics to this day

Re: Dusty52 needs your prayers tonight
Sticks is all relative. I have a similar story except, I grew up cowgirl but didn’t listen to country, but now I don’t live the country lifestyle (clean fingernails) but am learning to love country. Alan Jackson’s one of my favorites.shadow wrote: ↑March 15th, 2019, 4:31 pmI'm not![]()

I guess I'm old now.

Last night, we went to a convert where the drummer for Journey played. Usually I get bored of long solos - but his drum solo was amazing!
