3 Enoch 4 - 6
I'm going to try to make a post in here every day as I am able until I read through 3 Enoch (first read was a quick, excited skim-read.) This experience has truly been remarkable. As for Enoch being Metatron, the Metatron wikipedia article indicates there is some controversy that Enoch was conflated with Metatron. From my perspective - having pieced together just from the seven promises of overcoming that Enoch is aligned to the Seraphim - the order from whence comes the Davidic Servant - and that the Davidic Servant's works to build the end-times ZION parallels the work of his prince's prime example of building ZION - I can see why the two would be conflated. I wish I could get the source manuscripts of 3 Enoch and study the Hebrew or Aramaic or whatever language they're in and see if perhaps there is simply a mistranslation. From wikipedia:
The identification of Metatron with Enoch is not explicitly made in the Talmud although it does refer to a Prince of the World who was young but now is old. However, some of the earliest kabbalists assumed the connection. There also seems to be two Metatrons, one spelled with six letters (מטטרון), and one spelled with seven (מיטטרון).
Many scholars see a discontinuity between how Enoch is portrayed in the early Enoch literature and how Metatron is portrayed. Scholars commonly see the character of Metatron as being based on an amalgam of Jewish literature, in addition to Enoch, Michael, Melchizedek and Yahoel among others are seen as influences.[7]: 86 Gershom Scholem argues Metatron's character was influenced by two streams of thought. One of which linked Metatron with Enoch, while the second was a fusing of different obscure entities and mythic motifs.[10]:180 Scholem argues that this second tradition was originally separate but later became fused with the Enoch tradition.[7]: 141–142 He points to texts where this second Metatron is a primordial angel and referred to as Metatron Rabbah.
Hrm.... Two metatrons. One is spelled with six letters and one seven. One comes from level six and one was already at level seven from the beginning. The primordial angel (primordial meaning existing since the beginning) is Metatron Rabbah where Rabbah means Great or Greater. The Greater Metatron and the Lesser Metatron. Hrm .... fits! Take a look at the verses below - the lesser Metatron is clearly receiving a crown postmordial if that's a word. The angels make reference to the flood in the past tense - and this mortal Metatron had not yet received his crown. Wasn't Enoch already translated by the flood? Hrm ...and look! There's "Yahoel" mentioned again. Surely, these are all coincidences of an understanding born of personal revelation and studying the standard works. Two metatrons. One is spelled with six letters and one seven. One comes from level six and one was already at level seven from the beginning. Another another coincidence!
Also, I have stated elsewhere that I believe the dominion angel of the Lord - Jahoel / Yahoel - begins with Abraham. That also fits with a post flood ascension & crowning of the lesser Metatron.
3 Enoch 4:(7) As soon as they saw me, they said before
Him: "Lord of the Universe ! What is this
one that he should ascend to the height of
heights? Is not he one from among the sons
of [the sons of] those
who perished in the days of the Flood?
"What doeth he in the Raqia'?"
What's interesting here, is the angels smell Metatron when he ascended to heaven in mortality:
3 Enoch 6:(2) As soon as I reached the high heavens,
the Holy Chayyoth, the 'Ophannim, the
Seraphim, the Kerubim, the Wheels of the
Merkaba (the Galgallim), and the ministers
of the consuming fire, perceiving my smell
from a distance of 365,ooo myriads of
parasangs, said: "What smell of one born of
woman and what taste of a white drop (is
this) that ascends on high, and (lo, he is
merely) a gnat among those who 'divide
flames (of fire)'?"
(3) The Holy One, blessed be He, answered
and spake unto them: "My servants, my
hosts, my Kerubim, my 'Ophannim, my
Seraphim! Be ye not displeased on account
of this! Since all the children of men have
denied me and my great Kingdom and are
gone worshipping idols, I have removed my
Shekina from among them and have lifted it
up on high. But this one whom I have taken
from among them is an ELECT ONE among
(the inhabitants of) the world and he is equal
to all of them in faith, righteousness and
perfection of deed and I have taken him for
(as) a tribute from my world under all the
heavens".
There is a great conversation on smell over in this thread, namely, how smell is important in Jewish tradition: /viewtopic.php?t=50640&start=60

Re: 3 Enoch - Metatron - Davidic Servant
I've often wondered about the sense of smell and its role in eternity... I've also wondered how a translated being who has completed the translation process feels about being in the presence of us stinky telestial type servants. Haha!Alaris wrote: ↑March 5th, 2019, 12:33 pm I'm going to try to make a post in here every day as I am able until I read through 3 Enoch (first read was a quick, excited skim-read.) Great research Alaris! I'll have to do some research on the books of Enoch also.

Well Alaris I "agree" with most of what you say... and with the rest of John's statement....John Tavner wrote: ↑March 4th, 2019, 1:00 pmAlaris, I disagree with most of what you say (in regards to the Davidic servant), but I just wanted to compliment you on your passion. Orlov explores the source of the name (etymology) of Metatron which is rather mysterious - what a surprise. The various meanings he derives is SUPER interesting.
The possible meanings / source of the name "Metatron" (italics mine)
1. may be from )r+m or "Keeper of the watch" or "To guard, to protect"
2. may be derived from the greek words meta& and qro&noj - can be translated as "one who serves behind the throne" or "one who occupies the throne next to the throne of glory"
3. "co-occupant of the divine throne"
4. may be derived from the Persian God Mithras (I have zero knowledge on this one)
5. May be from the latin "Metator" which means a leader, a guide, a measurer, or a messenger (also similar to greek word mitator - forerunner.)
6. May be derived from the greek word me&tron, “a measure.”
7. may be connected with the function of this angel as the bearer of God’s name. In Metatron’s lore this principal angel is often named as the “lesser YHWH,” that is, the lesser manifestation of the divine Name. Dan takes the “him” in Exodus 23:21, “because my name is within him,” as referring to Metatron,
8. May be derived from Hebrew word "to take" in reference to Enoch's being translated and may mean "The translated one"
9. May have no etymology
Revelation 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
His interpretation: "Sit on God's throne and rule with him."
Notice the 3rd interpretation of Metatron above. This interpretation is likely applicable to all seven archangels, yet the impersonal nature of the 2nd interpretation reinforces the lack of ownership of "he who sitteth upon the throne" - which is expressly not his throne ... yet.
Revelation 7: 10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
Salvation to our newly crowned God who has been sitting upon the throne - earning his throne by sitting upon it (Abraham facsimile 3) - AND unto the Lamb.Passion used correctly for the Lord can cause miracles to happen and I think you have that passion! Bless you good sir!

Re: 3 Enoch - Metatron - Davidic Servant
Thanks for the kind comments!
Just a brief post today upon reading chapters seven and eight. In seven, Metatron is "taken from the generation of the flood" - that language does not sound like Enoch or the City of Enoch. Where is the city of Enoch? So far no mention. I wonder if the Davidic Servant incarnated pre flood and overcame sixth trial of overcoming before ascending to this throne. Chapter seven affirms my belief that the Angel of the Lord, Jahoel / Yahoel's dominion began with Abraham. "Taken from the generation of the flood" to, and I'm quoting from chapter seven, "attend the throne of glory day after day." That fits with one who is sitting upon a throne, tasting of the powers of the world to come to earn his everlasting inheritance that includes the right to said throne. The book of revelation says repeatedly of "he who sitteth upon the throne." I truly believe this is in reference to the Davidic Servant, and that the angel of the book of Revelation is Jahoel / Yahoel - and as John witnesses the immensity of power as described in 3 Enoch, he falls down in awe and worships the angel.
Another aspect of the Davidic Servant I believe to my core is that he is "most beloved" to Jehovah. David means "beloved" after all. In chapter eight, Metatron says that before he was appointed to attend the throne of glory he received gifts of "three hundred thousand gates of understanding" and "three hundred thousand gates of meekness" etc. At the end of the chapter, Metatron says, "I was honored and adorned with all these good and praiseworthy things more than all the children of heaven." This statement fits perfectly with what I know to my core. What a confirmation!

3 Enoch 10
Today I read 3 Enoch, chapter 10. There is quite a bit in chapter 10 that reaffirms my prior understanding. As such, I realize I haven't really made enough effort to make my prior understanding available, so I'll add a few links here and in the OP before offering commentary on chapter 10.
On my blog, there is a navigation bar on the left (you may have to click on the three lines in the top left corner depending on whether you are viewing from a computer or smartphone.)
http://lordoftheseraphim.blogspot.com/
On the left navigation, the top half of the articles listed pertain to the seven levels of mankind. The bottom-half pertain to the Davidic Servant, including three articles written about 1 Enoch (the Ethiopian Book of Enoch) - 1 Enoch, chapters 38-70 are truly amazing in what they've confirmed to me personally.
The thread below was created to show how the Davidic Servant is in fact The Holy Ghost - this thread shows the amazing process of discovery that the Angel of the Lord of the Old Testament is in fact the Davidic Servant.
/viewtopic.php?t=48060
And, I've written posts all over this forum about this understanding - that the Davidic Servant is the Holy Ghost is the Angel of the Lord - and that he is a he and not an it, and this man is central to the fulfilling of the covenants made by God to Abraham through this man. Just read the angel's message to Abraham when he stopped him from sacrificing his son Isaac.
Genesis 22:11 And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.
Read what the Lord Himself says about the Angel.
Exodus 23:20 ¶ Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.
22 But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.
23 For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.
The Angel's authority and role is important to establish before reviewing 3 Enoch 10. The Angel obviously was the voice of the Lord - keep reading in Genesis 22, and the Angel says, "Thus saith the Lord." He is called "The mouth of Jehvoah" in the Old Testament. The Lord says to Abraham, "Obey my voice."
3 Enoch 10
from verse 1 - He made me a Throne, similar to the Throne of Glory.
The above is Metatron speaking, who receives a throne post-flood. As I expressed in the prior post, the throne is referred to in a non-possessive manner as though the throne is not his ... yet. "He who sitteth upon the throne" is repeated throughout the Book of Revelation.
(2) And He placed it at the door of the Seventh Hall and seated me on it.
Notice how there's no reference to possession here either. In fact "seated me on it" is similar to "he who sitteth upon the throne" (Revelation 5:13 and elsewhere in Revelation.) More importantly is where the throne is set. The throne is set at the door of the Seventh Hall! As an angel who comes from level six / Seraphim to join level 7 by doing the works of level 7, could this symbol be any more overt!? Of course, there may be more than just Metatron's personal approach to level 7, so let's read on!
(3) And the herald went forth into every
heaven, saying:This is Metatron, my servant.
I have made him into a prince and a ruler
over all the princes of my kingdoms and
over all the children of heaven, except the
eight great princes, the honoured and
revered ones who are called YHWH, by the
name of their King.
Wow, what a confirmation this is! I've been saying all along that the Davidic Servant is the 8th being in authority on earth. Now, before anyone accuses me of not being able to count, I believe the ninth person in this equation is none other than YHWH Himself. He may be referred to as a prince here because He had not yet received all the Father hath. To recap, I have held that the 7 archangels have a higher authority than the Davidic Servant who is the presiding angel of the Seraphim (level 6.) So he is 8th in authority under the archangels - not counting Jehovah. Counting Jehovah, he is the ninth.
Another interesting side note is how they are all called "YHWH." Notice how in Exodus 23, the Lord says, "My name is in him." In the Apocalypse of Abraham, this is actually a key point regarding the angel YAHOEL - In fact, the YAH / JAH is the same as YAHOVAH / JEHOVAH. Moreover, many of the angel names in 3 Enoch are followed by the letter "H" which represents the tetrammagon. The first of "seventy names" of Metatron is "YEHOEL H", followed by "YEHOEL." YEHOEL is just another English transliteration of the same Hebrew name. The many, varied spellings of YEHOEL is actually a witness to me of the fact that this angel is the hidden servant of Isaiah / 3 Nephi / 1 Enoch. JAHOEL / YAHOEL / YEHOEL / IAOEL / JEHOEL are all variants that thwarted my early studies of the angel of the one spelling in Hebrew that represents all these English transliterations.
(4) And every angel and every prince who
has a word to speak in my presence (before
me) shall go into his presence (before him)
and shall speak to him (instead).
A study of the Angel of the Lord in the Old Testament indicates he is usually the one who appears and speaks on behalf of Jehovah. In fact, this relationship between the Angel and YHWH Himself is symbolized quite clearly in the relationship between Aaron and Moses.
Exodus 4:16 And he (Aaron) shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou (Moses) shalt be to him instead of God.
Boom. Role of the Angel of the Lord confirmed, yet here in 3 Enoch we have an indication that this relationship isn't exclusive to prophets but to every angel and prince (except the 8 great) who must all reach Jehovah through Metatron. Does that not sound like the role of the Holy Ghost? Consider the Book of Revelation as well:
Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
3 Enoch paints a pretty clear picture as to why John bowed down to this angel and worshiped him....twice....at the end of the Revelation.
(5) And every command that he utters to you
in my name do ye observe and fulfil. For the
Prince of Wisdom and the Prince of Understanding
have I committed to him to instruct him in
the wisdom of heavenly things and of
earthly things, in the wisdom of this world
and of the world to come.
Compare verse 5 about to Exodus 23 above. Obey my angel. Also, "wisdom" is one of the seven characteristics of the Rod of Jesse:
Isaiah 11:2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;
Oh look! There's "understanding" as well! What does the Lord reveal about the Rod of Jess again in the Doctrine and Covenants?
D&C 113:3 What is the rod spoken of in the first verse of the 11th chapter of Isaiah, that should come of the Stem of Jesse?
4 Behold, thus saith the Lord: It is a servant in the hands of Christ, who is partly a descendant of Jesse as well as of Ephraim, or of the house of Joseph, on whom there is laid much power.
"And of the world to come" - MMP. The angel of the Lord is exercising the authority of the archangels to taste the powers of the world to come, and to earn the right to exercise them. It's a trial - a probation.
Joseph also said that the Holy Ghost is now in a state of probation which if he should perform in righteousness he may pass through the same or a similar course of things that the Son has. ~ Joseph Smith, The Words of Joseph Smith, p. 245 (From Franklin D. Richards Journal)
So the angel, whose throne was made post flood, is sitting at the gate of the "seventh hall" and all the angels must go through this angel to reach the Lord. Does that sound a bit like the Apostles who present us at the veil in the temple? Also, notice that all the covenants being fulfilled in the latter-days began post-flood with Abraham. I highly recommend a read of the Apocalypse of Abraham where the interaction between the Angel IAOEL / YEHOEL and Abraham fits all of this snugly like a puzzle piece. YEHOEL is the executor of the covenant. He is born in the flesh to fulfill it as the Davidic Servant.

Isaiah 11:2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;

3 Enoch 12
I am SO tired today - was up late troubleshooting our Internet connection that suddenly went out. After hours last night and hours today, I finally discovered that one of my little ones must have plugged an ethernet cable back into a switch downstairs causing a loopback which was crashing the network. I didn't add to this post yesterday, so, well here I am.
3 Enoch 12 is rather short but has some powerful gems.
3 Enoch 12:(1) By reason of the love with which the
Holy One, blessed be He, loved me more
than all the children of heaven. He made me
a garment of glory on which were fixed all
kinds of lights, and He clad me in it.
Most beloved is confirmed again, and new mention is made of a "garment of glory." That sounds familiar ...
D&C 85:7 And it shall come to pass that I, the Lord God, will send one mighty and strong, holding the scepter of power in his hand, clothed with light for a covering, whose mouth shall utter words, eternal words; while his bowels shall be a fountain of truth, to set in order the house of God, and to arrange by lot the inheritances of the saints whose names are found, and the names of their fathers, and of their children, enrolled in the book of the law of God;
3 Enoch 12:(3) And he made me a royal crown in which
were fixed forty-nine costly stones like unto
the light of the globe of the sun.
The new crown and its newness is again mentioned.
Here is Abraham's description of the angel Yahoel (same angel as Metatron) in the pseudapigraphal "Apocalypse of Abraham."
And I rose up and saw him who had grasped me by the right hand and set me upon my feet, and the appearance of his body was like sapphire, and the look of his countenance like crysolite, and the hair of his head like snow, and the turban on his head like the appearance of the rainbow, and the clothing of his garments like purple, and a golden sceptre was in his right hand,
The scepter is mentioned in both D&C 85:7 and in the AoA.
3 Enoch 12:(4) For its splendour went forth in the four
quarters of the Araboth Raqia', and in
(through) the seven heavens, and in the four
quarters of the world. And he put it on my
head.
(5) And He called me THE LESSER
YHWH in the presence of all His heavenly
household; as it is written (Ex. xxiii. 21):
"For my name is in him".
So, I don't know whether Metatron / R. Ishmael put the reference to Exodus 23:21 here. This revelation may have taken place long after the Exodus, even though the events being revealed appear to be just after the flood.
And though the dates when R. Ishmael lived or received the revelation of 3 Enoch are unknown, if the revelation took place post-Exodus, then Metatron making reference to Exodus 23:21 makes perfect sense--Especially when considering the Metatron is basically saying, "Hey I'm the Angel of the Lord to whom the Greater YHWH refers in Exodus 23:21. He named me "THE LESSER YHWH" when he crowned me.
The term, "LESSER YHWH" makes even more sense when considering the fact there is an ultimate High Priest of Aaron along with the ultimate High Priest of Melchizedek who is the GREATER YHWH. Two orders of Priesthoods - the LESSER and the GREATER. Two Gods to whom those Priesthoods point. The Holy Ghost is a he brothers and sisters.
And, he appears to be all over the apocrypha! What a coincidence that the Lord uses the term "Spirit" so often in describing how to read and benefit from the Apocrypha:

D&C 107:57 These things were all written in the book of Enoch, and are to be testified of in due time.

I love what you mentioned about the lesser and greater high priest of YHWH.
It makes me think of the towers on the Salt Lake Temple. One level of symbolism is the east tower (higher than the west) represents the High Priest of Melchizedek and the west tower representing the lesser High Priest of Aaron.
Also relate this symbolism to the robe on the left then right shoulder, pre temple change of course.
Then... a Son moving onward and upward to be a Father, and so on and so forth...
I love how many layers of truth unfold through symbolism!
On another note...
I was studying the apocalypse of Abraham in conjunction with the books of Enoch, and marvelled greatly at chapter 31 verse 1
31:1 Then I shall sound the trumpet from the sky, and I shall send my chosen one, having in him one measure of all my power, and he will summon my people blamed among the heathen.
I personally believe this to be the Servant whom God endows with an open and obvious power. The portion of power is interesting. I wonder if it is a tithe of Gods power...
Any thoughts, or disagreements??
Thanks for your posts, they are assisting my studies.
I'm interested in exploring all the Apocryphal writings to see what other pearls of truth may spring forth

When my journey of discovery began in 2015, the first thing I learned about the Davidic Servant was that he would summon forth the hosts of heaven. I did not know what that meant at the time, and I did not realize it may pertain to the morning of the first resurrection. In fact, I wonder how many references to Israel's gathering in Isaiah is really all about the resurrection and how many are about a temporal gathering:
Isaiah 49:5 ¶ And now, saith the Lord that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the Lord, and my God shall be my strength.
6 And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.
So, I guess I'll just come out and say it. I heard the words as part of a larger experience - that he will summon forth the hosts / armies of heaven. As I studied the scriptures, I could never find reference to this event in quite this way. It wasn't until I felt prompted to start studying the Book of Enoch that I found the words I heard nearly verbatim:
1 Enoch 61:10. And He will summon all the host of the heavens, and all the holy ones above, and the host of God, the Cherubic, Seraphin and Ophannin, and all the angels of power, and all the angels of principalities, and the Elect One, and the other powers on the earth (and) over the water.
11. On that day shall raise one voice, and bless and glorify and exalt in the spirit of faith, and in the spirit of wisdom, and in the spirit of patience, and in the spirit of mercy, and in the spirit of judgement and of peace, and in the spirit of goodness, and shall all say with one voice: "Blessed is He, and may the name of the Lord of Spirits be blessed for ever and ever."
This may be the same event:
D&C 88:98 They are Christ’s, the first fruits, they who shall descend with him first, and they who are on the earth and in their graves, who are first caught up to meet him; and all this by the voice of the sounding of the trump of the angel of God.
This is the same angel who declares the great and abominable church dead in verse 94. In fact, section 88 is littered with all sorts of clues about the Holy Ghost / Davidic Servant / Elect One / Yahoel / Metatron etc. I suggest a read of section 88 with this in mind.
I don't know that I have ever considered the East / West spirts on the SLC temple since learning the Holy Ghost is the High Priest of the Levitical Order. Isn't there a Melchizedek side and an Aaronic side of the great assembly area in the SLC temple as well?
Don't get me started on Moroni. No really. I'm tired! Going to bed!
As for a tithe of power, I don't know though I would assume the lesser YHWH's power is lesser! G'night.

I think I like your link better though.
I'll study section 88 and report my thoughts and impressions
I just moved from Utah (Saratoga Springs) from living there for the past 9 years, to Australia. The time difference is out of whack.
I would assume that the references in the scriptures about the Servants missions (plural) would symbolize the resurrection also. I believe he will hold Gods power and keys to the resurrection being a member of the Godhead and how he assisted Christ in that process...
His future mission will be a reflection of his previous missions. Atleast that is my thoughts and belief on the matter...
I think when President Nelson spoke about the restoration of the Gospel just getting started, he was alluding to references to the keys of translation and the resurrection to be manifested in full power and openly.
Interesting times ahead my friends!

Coincidentally enough, the following quote was relevant to a discussion in another thread. So much of these quotes and scriptures fit together to reinforce these messages from the Apocrypha and vice versa. The word "fullness" is only mentioned twice in the following sermon from Joseph Smith:DJB wrote: ↑March 10th, 2019, 6:53 amhttps://www.marquette.edu/maqom/kuliktranslation.htmlAlaris wrote: ↑March 9th, 2019, 11:27 pmThat is fantastic!
At least that is my thoughts and belief on the matter...
I think when President Nelson spoke about the restoration of the Gospel just getting started, he was alluding to references to the keys of translation and the resurrection to be manifested in full power and openly.
Interesting times ahead my friends!

Now for Elijah. The spirit, power, and calling of Elijah is, that ye have power to hold the key of the revelation, ordinances, oracles, powers and endowments of the fullness of the Melchizedek Priesthood and of the kingdom of God on the earth; and to receive, obtain, and perform all the ordinances belonging to the kingdom of God, even unto the turning of the hearts of the fathers unto the children, and the hearts of the children unto the fathers, even those who are in heaven.
Although David was a king, he never did obtain the spirit and power of Elijah and the fullness of the Priesthood; and the Priesthood that he received, and the throne and kingdom of David is to be taken from him and given to another by the name of David in the last days, raised up out of his lineage.
When comparing these two statements, that are given separately within the sermon, the keys of resurrection fit quite snugly in with the mission of the end-times David.

3 Enoch 13
I just have to say that reading 3 Enoch has been truly incredible. I can't believe I sort of discounted 3 Enoch due to the fact that 1 Enoch was such a confirming both my studies and my personal revelation / sacred experiences. I mean, how could 3 Enoch also be amazing? I'm almost afraid to look at 2 Enoch now (OK I looked, and there's some great stuff in there, and I'll get there eventually.)
Before 2015, I would never have classified myself as a visionary man. I have had several pointed experiences since then, and the books of Enoch have confirmed and helped me understand much of what I have seen and heard - and what I've learned, researched, studied, and understood.
3 Enoch 13:(1) Because of the great love and mercy with
which the Holy One, blessed be He, loved
and cherished me more than all the children
of heaven. He wrote with his ringer with a
flaming style upon the crown on my head
the letters by which were created heaven and
earth, the seas and rivers, the mountains and
hills, the planets and constellations, the
lightnings, winds, earthquakes and voices
(thunders), the snow and hail, the storm-
wind and the tempest ; the letters by which
were created all the needs of the world and
all the orders of Creation.
The "most beloved" is confirmed again here. The Lord writes upon Metatron's crown letters - a crown with letters on it. That sounds familiar!
Exodus 28:36 ¶ And thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.
Hrm ... we learned in the previous chapter that Metatron is the LESSER YHWH and here we have an event in chapter 13 that parallels the crown of the High Priest of the Lesser Priesthood. Coincidence? No. Here is a relevant prophecy that combines the "Priest" aspect with the crown or throne aspect of the Davidic Servant:
Zechariah 6:12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord:
13 Even he shall build the temple of the Lord; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
The Lord Jesus Christ doesn't build the temple! The branch does. He shall be a priest upon his throne - and the counsel of peace shall be between them both. Who both? Both the GREATER YHWH and the LESSER YHWH. Here is a scripture that makes reference to the same Davidic Servant and the same temple he will build:
Malachi 3:1 Behold, I will send my messenger
(malaki or angel), and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord (not YHWH but Lord as in Noble / Master), whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger (angel) of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts.
Reading 3 Enoch certainly brings the "whom ye delight in" into focus. The angel of the Lord is someone who we delight in on an eternal scale. He is someone celebrated and a central focus to the plan of salvation - a man becoming a God which is a key to understanding the plan of exaltation. This is his first crown - and it is purchased by the Atonement of the GREATER YHWH.
Another interesting aspect of the crown in 3 Enoch 13 is the letters are the same by which the Lord uses to create the Heavens and the Earth.
3 Enoch 13:(2) And every single letter sent forth time
after time as it were lightnings, time after
time as it were torches, time after time as it
were flames of fire, time after time (rays)
like [as] the rising of the sun and the moon
and the planets.
Joseph Smith said there is a name or word by which the heavens can be opened. I'll see if I can find the quote - found it:
“The g[rand] key word was the first word Adam spoke and is a word of supplication. He found the word by the Urim and Thummim—it is that key word to which the heavens [are] opened.” (William Clayton, ‘Journal,’ 15 June 1844, Private Custody. Blaine M. Yorgason, Spiritual Progression in the Last Days [Salt Lake City: Deseret Book Co., 1994], pg. 263)
“It is the privilege of the Children of God to come to God & get Revelation…When any person receives a vision of Heaven, he sees things that he never thought of before… any person that believes the works I do shall he do also & greater works. The Father could not be glorified in the Son on any other principle than we coming to God, asking, receiving, heavens open visions &c.— They are done away because of unbelief—” (The Words of Joseph Smith, pg. 13-14)

3 Enoch 14
Today I will discuss the chapter and the events that caused me to take a closer look at 3 Enoch - Chapter 14.
(1) When the Holy One, blessed be He, put
this crown on my head, (then) trembled
before me all the Princes of Kingdoms who
are in the height of Araboth Raqiaf and all
the hosts of every heaven; and even the
princes (of) the 'Elim, the princes (of) the
'Er'ellim and the princes (of) the Tafsarim,
who are greater than all the ministering
angels who minister before the Throne of
Glory, shook, feared and trembled before me
when they beheld me.
Something I've always known to my bones is that the hierarchy of heaven is vast. Eternal progression is a system, and the Priesthood not only the governing power but the governing body of heaven. Chapter 14 is about the reaction to the crowning of Metatron who is the Angel of the Lord of the Old Testament.
Though I mentioned these events in the OP, I will provide more detail. Please consider these events are sacred and true. We moved into our new home in November 2016. A few months later my wife and I continued to have sacred experiences. In 2015, my wife and I went through a period of deep descent - I wouldn't say "rock bottom" because we had shelter, we had food, and our kids were healthy. This was largely a spiritual trial. We got on our knees in asked in great humility to receive spiritually - to receive greater light and knowledge. Soon after, we began to have amazing experiences. To those who fear these sorts of experiences as though they come from devils, I suggest considering Alma 32. These experiences planted seeds that grew powerfully with later experiences confirming and reinforcing the former. I wish I could share them all, but I feel prompted to share this one in particular in this thread.
In early 2016, my wife was struggling with an understanding of the gospel. One night, she woke and saw a figure standing at the side of her bed. She could see he was a man with curly brown hair, but she said he had no face - or at least she could not make out his face. I have found that a missing / hidden face indicates the identity of this individual is hidden or that the beholder is not ready to receive the true identity / recognition. This man had a personal message for her - just one sentence. In the many sacred experiences I've had since 2015, often they are just a word or a phrase that points me in a path of discovery. She asked this messenger for his name. She knew she would struggle to remember the name, so she associated the name with "Opium." We discussed this experience at length the next day. I had been studying angels, angel names, and angel classes - and "Ophanim" seemed to fit as it sounded like Opium and was related to angels. We could not find a satisfactory answer based off this search back then.
Fast forward to 2019 - just a few weeks ago, I awoke in the middle of the night, determined to remember the name "Barachiel." Though I've studied angel names, there are diverse lists of Archangels. 1 Enoch gives the 7 archangels different names than 3 Enoch. The Eastern Orthodox church believes in 8 archangels, whereas the Catholic church believes in 7 and their names are inconsistent. Had I heard the name "Barachiel" before this night, I would not have recognized it as being on any of theses lists. That night, I knew I would forget the name and the experience unless I wrote it down. Without any paper / writing instruments near my bed (shame on me) I grabbed my phone and squinted at the bright phone as I opened a tab and typed in "Barakiel" - not knowing how to spell the name. I know I received some sort of message in conjunction with the name - and though I do not remember the message - I do remember knowing that remembering the name itself was paramount.
The next day I forgot the experience. This has happened more than a few times since 2015. I will experience something falling asleep, waking up, and sometimes in the middle of sleep and forget all about it until something triggers it later. My wife and I experienced something truly amazing in 2017 that took place over a few nights, and I did not remember any of it until the culmination. Having forgotten all (haha) I did not remember until the final night where my experience confirmed what was happening to my wife - the memory only coming back to me when she shared what had been happening to her. I wish I could shout this experience across the rooftops, but due to the nature of such things ... suffice it to say that the devil was not at play in our lives. When I hear the name "Barakiel" and know I must remember the name I trust ... well myself!
Rather, I trust these experiences as they have yielded delicious fruit in my life.
So, I found the wikipedia page first that I linked above regarding Barachiel. As I searched on I found he was mentioned in 3 Enoch. Wouldn't you know it? I have a copy of the three books of Enoch already! I pulled out the book and scoured it, looking for the name. When I found the name, he was in Chapter 14 in a list of names of angels and their roles. Here is that section - In verse 3, the angels react to this crowning - and though their dominion is listed, their names are given in verse 4:
(3) And even the angel of fire, and the angel
of hail, and the angel of the wind, and the
angel of the lightning, and the angel of
anger, and the angel of the thunder, and the
angel of the snow, and the angel of the rain
; and the angel of the day, and the angel of
the night, and the angel of the sun and the
angel of the moon, and the angel of the
planets and the angel of the constellations
who rule the world under their hands, feared
and trembled and were affrighted before me,
when they beheld me.
(4) These are the names of the rulers of the
world: Gabriel, the angel of the fire,
Baradiel, the angel of the hail, Ruchiel who
is appointed over the wind, Baraqiel who is
appointed over the lightnings,
Za'amiel who is appointed over the
vehemence, Ziqiel who is appointed over the
sparks, Zi'iel who is appointed over the
commotion, Zdaphiel who is appointed over
the storm- wind, Ra'amiel who is
appointed over the thunders, Rctashiel who
is appointed over the earthquake, Shalgiel
who is appointed over the snow, Matariel
who is appointed over the rain, Shimshiel
who is appointed over the day, Lailiel who
is appointed over the night, Galgalliel who is
appointed over the globe of the sun,
'Ophanniel who is appointed over the globe
of the moon, Kokbiel who is appointed over
the planets, Rahatiel who is appointed over
the constellations.
Once I read the name "Ophanniel" in the same paragraph as Baraqiel, I knew this was the angel my wife saw. When I read the name to her, she agreed this was the name she heard in 2016. What are the chances that these two names show up in the same paragraph. I wondered to myself, "What is this chapter about and why are the names listed here?" I discovered the chapter was about the crowning of an angel, and the reaction by the other angels of authority of heaven.
I've been studying the Davidic Servant since 2015, but I did not tie together his identity about him being the Angel of the Lord of the Old Testament until 2018. Had I had this experience in before 2018, this wouldn't have nearly as much significance. To those of you who are familiar with my writings and my beliefs, you may have some idea just how significant this event is to me - that these two angel names from two sacred experiences separated by years converge and point to the crowning - a new crown / a first crown - of the Angel of the Lord.

http://lordoftheseraphim.blogspot.com/2 ... -lord.html
The Holy Ghost is The Angel of the Lord. He's receiving his first crown - his first throne. In 3 Enoch, this throne is referred to in a non-possessive manner just as this throne is referred to in revelation. It isn't his yet - he is sitting on the throne by the politeness of the King as emblematic of the Grand Presidency of Heaven. The angels of heaven in Revelation have similar reactions to the one "who sitteth upon the throne" as the angels of 3 Enoch Chapter 14.
Revelation 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. (Seven blessings for reaching the seventh order)
13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. (Ezekiel 37 - shall, shall, shall)
16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
There are two Gods mentioned here - "God and the Lamb" This is not Elohim and Jehovah. This is Jehovah and The Holy Ghost. Reaching Elohim is not for the masses as it is described here.
The Spirit of God like a fire is burning.
We'll sing and we'll shout with the armies of heaven,
Hosanna, hosanna to God and the Lamb!
Let glory to them in the highest be given,
Henceforth and forever, Amen and amen!
Glory in the highest is not given to Elohim but by Elohim. Glory in the highest is Elohim. Glory is being given to Jehovah and The Holy Ghost by Elohim - which is precisely what we are praying for in this hymn just as the angels of Revelation 7. Think of the name of the hymn for all that is holy - The Spirit of God. The Holy Ghost is a he. The devil has fought long and hard to disappear him from Christianity. And yet there he stands still in the Old Testament - stopping the sacrifice of Isaac. He is the angel wrestling with Jacob at Peniel, which means "Face of God." Appearing to Moses in the burning bush. Leading Israel as a pillar of fire. Parting the red sea. Standing before Joshua in the fields of Jericho in his glory - this glory that is described in great detail through 3 Enoch. Revealing his name is secret to Samson's parents. Linked to the Davidic Servant by Isaiah. Protecting Israel from the Assyrians by slaying 185,000. And yet, the world believes he doesn't exist - as do many latter-day saints who describe him as an it rather than a he. He is the Rod of Jesse in Isaiah 11, and the angel of the covenant of Malachi 3 - both scriptures were quoted by Moroni to Joseph Smith.
The angel of the moon appeared to my wife in the middle of the night, no less. After our mighty prayer in 2015, she started to receive before I. This is partly why the recent temple endowment was more readily accepted by me. Sure, it bothered me a little in 2015 - I'm the Priesthood holder! I should receive first! I was ashamed at feeling that way - especially after having been lowered to the depths of humility - my pride was still intact. I am truly grateful for her and her faith and the things I have learned from her and her experiences born of her faith and God's grace.

Re: 3 Enoch 14
Alaris wrote: ↑March 14th, 2019, 1:28 pm Today I will discuss the chapter and the events that caused me to take a closer look at 3 Enoch - Chapter 14.

When I hear the name "Barakiel" and know I must remember the name I trust ... well myself!Rather, I trust these experiences as they have yielded delicious fruit in my life.
So, I found the wikipedia page first that I linked above regarding Barachiel. As I searched on I found he was mentioned in 3 Enoch. Wouldn't you know it? I have a copy of the three books of Enoch already! I pulled out the book and scoured it, looking for the name. When I found the name, he was in Chapter 14 in a list of names of angels and their roles. Here is that section - In verse 3, the angels react to this crowning - and though their dominion is listed, their names are given in verse 4:
(3) And even the angel of fire, and the angel
of hail, and the angel of the wind, and the
angel of the lightning, and the angel of
anger, and the angel of the thunder, and the
angel of the snow, and the angel of the rain
; and the angel of the day, and the angel of
the night, and the angel of the sun and the
angel of the moon, and the angel of the
planets and the angel of the constellations
who rule the world under their hands, feared
and trembled and were affrighted before me,
when they beheld me.
(4) These are the names of the rulers of the
world: Gabriel, the angel of the fire,
Baradiel, the angel of the hail, Ruchiel who
is appointed over the wind, Baraqiel who is
appointed over the lightnings,
Za'amiel who is appointed over the
vehemence, Ziqiel who is appointed over the
sparks, Zi'iel who is appointed over the
commotion, Zdaphiel who is appointed over
the storm- wind, Ra'amiel who is
appointed over the thunders, Rctashiel who
is appointed over the earthquake, Shalgiel
who is appointed over the snow, Matariel
who is appointed over the rain, Shimshiel
who is appointed over the day, Lailiel who
is appointed over the night, Galgalliel who is
appointed over the globe of the sun,
'Ophanniel who is appointed over the globe
of the moon, Kokbiel who is appointed over
the planets, Rahatiel who is appointed over
the constellations.
Once I read the name "Ophanniel" in the same paragraph as Baraqiel, I knew this was the angel my wife saw. When I read the name to her, she agreed this was the name she heard in 2016. Wonderful post Alaris! Thanks for sharing yours and your wife's sacred experiences with us all. Very remarkable indeed!

My wife and I have had similar experiences to what you shared, and loved being prompted to share with people to see if anyone else ever had the same experience...
Anyways, equally yoked on the path to a fullness is such an eternal blessing for a couple. I feel bad for some of my friends that have their spouse's not where they are at. The ability to progress together is wonderful.
My Patriarchal Blessing states that " Your wife will be with you as you progress in the gospel". I never really understood it, that was until a few years ago, when I understood it to being equally yoked...

For me, the thing that stands out about the Servant's divine heritage, is his missions previous to obtaining his body. Looking at the quote above, the actions are as if the Angel was a God (Holy Ghost) warrior type leader, protector and this Angel fits the bill in being the 3rd member of the Godhead indeed. The key for me was the Isaiah scripture where he is told to awake, and arise, like in ancient times. Here in explains a lot of hidden knowledge about the Servant's divine calling as the 3rd member of the Godhead.
That being said, I know that others are in disagreement with this concept, but we have to understand that the Holy Ghost has such a vital role as does the Son and the Father. Look upon the significant evidence of this Angel of the Lord's Presence (Presence being a key, to his closeness to the Son and Father) and how often his influence is among the mighty stories of history. He is worthy of so much more study and attention.
I love how he is told to awake and arise, remember who he was, so that he can do what he needs to do now.
If we understand the real endowment process, and if we liken all the scriptures unto ourselves, we should come to a conclusion that we ourselves must awake and arise and remember who we were before.
How do I know this?
About a year ago while pondering in the Celestial room, a voice said to me that I needed to learn who I was before entering my mother's womb in order for me to progress here from now on.
This through me for a loop, in a major way! It was a wonderful experience but since had weighed me down because of the seriousness of the message. I was told that I could not fully progress in the way I needed to, until I learned of who I was before...
I have come to a point where I think this goes for us all...
I also believe this is what the endowment is mostly about.
Somehow, according to my understanding and belief, the coming to a fullness, or a perfect brightness is a removing of our hidden past and knowing who we were and what we covenanted to do.
I believe that in knowing this, we become better equipped to meet the challenges of today and fullfil the measure of our creation here. Think about that for a moment. To fullfil the measure of our creation. How can we do that if we know nothing of our measure...
Now this is where the endowment becomes interesting. We cannot be saved in ignorance. Jesus grew from grace to grace receiving not of a fullness at first. Fullness?? We've been discussing this already. Priesthood fullness (Resurrection, etc)
Remembering that Jesus is our example!
Jesus needed through obedience to awake and arise to his former glory and identity so that he could be better armed and equipped to press on and overcome the adversary to fullfil the measure of his creation.
Remember, the adversary often times tempted Jesus to deny who he was. Why would that ever be a temptation if he knew who he was from birth...
Ponder that for a moment...
Same goes for the Holy Ghost when he receives his body, and then the same for all of us in our varying degrees of measure. Think MMP's
I can personally testify that God does want us to remember who we were previously, to better help us on the path to come back to him, but only when we are awakened otherwise we could not comprehend with closed eyes.
The endowment on a very deep layer if truth expresses this and, yes, seer stones can aid us in this quest for further light and knowledge.
What is a God? A possessor of all things including the past, present and future...
Food for thought brothers and sisters
P.s. I'm still trying to work this whole forum thing out, so quoting and all that is a work in progress.

Thank you! I would not have been able to progress and experience the things I have without my wife. Her faith is truly amazing. This is my second marriage, and my first stands in stark contrast, so I've been on both sides of this experience.DJB wrote: ↑March 15th, 2019, 7:04 am Wonderful post Alaris! Warrior is an interesting aspect I don't share much at all. He absolutely was a warrior and I feel deeply he was an extremely gifted one at that. How I have come to this feeling and understanding is why I don't speak to this point much. Agreed - the fact so many don't believe this person exists is beyond comprehension. summoned, called to one's side, esp. called to one's aid
one who pleads another's cause before a judge, a pleader, counsel for defense, legal assistant, an advocate
This is so obviously a he - a person. Key words in John 16 align to the rod of jesse - of whom we have modern revelation that tells us he is a servant in the hands of Christ on whom is laid much power (D&C 113.) Yet what is the percentage of christianity that either believe he's the same entity as Jesus or believe he's some power without a person behind the power? I'd say 99 % or more. As frustrating as that is, did Jesus not condescend facing a similar misconception as to who He would be? A tremendous degree of opposition is needed to produce enough friction to elevate a God to a higher level.
The new name certainly points to this - I remember my first endowment experiences where I immediately picked up on the odd progression of names - it seemed backwards. The first law of heaven - obedience. The first law of the temple? The same. The new name aligns to laws that align to who we were.DJB wrote: ↑March 15th, 2019, 7:04 am I love how he is told to awake and arise, remember who he was, so that he can do what he needs to do now.

Bringing Israel to a knowledge of who they are to the fulfilling these covenants is central to the Davidic Servant - knowing what these covenants are is central to this, well, central mission!
Though I've recently stated that I believe Jesus was subjected to the veil more than we realize, I did not think of the adversary's efforts to tempt Jesus in conjunction with the veil. "Are you really sure you are the Savior? If so, jump of this ledge, angels will save you, and then you will know for sure." Fantastic point!DJB wrote: ↑March 15th, 2019, 7:04 am I believe that in knowing this, we become better equipped to meet the challenges of today and fullfil the measure of our creation here. I think many folks here in these forums understand we are here serving the gentiles, as saviors on mount zion. They accept we progressed more than others. Whether this progression happened within one sphere or many - the fact two laws align to our new name is telling - whereas only one law aligns to our current name - one law to the following token, and one law after that. What did the endowment look for those aligned to the law of sacrifice? I bet their new name aligned to the law of obedience only.
Wholeheartedly agreed - the first experiences I had in 2015 all centered around who I was, how I met my wife, and certain events from premortality.
Brigham Young says we all have one - how many have asked for theirs I wonder? How many have received? I see eye to eye with you here brother. This was central to the beginning mine and my wife's experiences. The church had just revealed the Joseph Smith seer stone - this was not a coincidence.

3 Enoch 16
Apologies again for the delay here - I've been quite ill, and though I've been chiming in on the forums, I've known covering lengthy chapter 17 will take some effort to convey. The concept isn't that difficult, but I suspect the biggest obstacle is conveying what is undoubtedly a new paradigm. Well it's a good thing chapter 15 is next and short. I will leave this new paradigm for the next post - 3 Enoch 16.
3 Enoch 16:
R. Ishmael said : Metatron, the angel, the Prince of the Presence, the Glory of all heavens, said to me :
(1) As soon as the Holy One, blessed be He,
took me in (His) service to attend the Throne
of Glory and the Wheels (Galgallim) of the
Merkaba and the needs of Shekina,
forthwith my flesh was changed into flames,
my sinews into flaming fire, my bones into
coals of burning juniper, the light of my eye-
lids into splendour of lightnings, my eye-
balls into fire-brands, the hair of my head
into dot flames, all my limbs into wings of
burning fire and the whole of my body into
glowing fire.
(2) And on my right were divisions 6 of
fiery flames, on my left fire-brands were
burning, round about me stormwind and
tempest were blowing and in front of me and
behind me was roaring of thunder with
earthquake.
This chapter is rather coincidental as I had a personal experience two days ago that underscores some of what is covered here. Now, if I'm following the book so far, "Enoch" (and I don't believe this man is actually Enoch as some scholars agree) is taken into heaven. Angels can smell his mortality at a great distance. Now, he's being transformed into an angel of Glory. This is either translation or something else. Another coincidence is this thread on these forums that is about the word Hebrew word translated into "marred" in KJV Isaiah 52 meaning, perhaps, "anointed" rather than "marred" based on evidence in the Isaiah scroll of the dead sea scroll. "His form more than the sons of men" certainly makes more sense in the context of being anointed rather than marred.
Isaiah 52:13 ¶ Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.
14 As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred (anointed / glorified?) more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:
15 So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.
Something I didn't realize until writing this out is that the inverse relationship between descent and ascent may apply to these verses above. Perhaps marred and anointed aren't so different after all. Anyway, certainly Jesus expounding upon the marring in 3 Nephi 21 and the Book of Mormon translation underscore there being an actual marring. Jesus descended below all before ascending above all - suffering as one who is powerless before attaining all power. Likewise, I wonder if the Davidic Servant will lose everything before receiving a throne and kingdom. Likewise, if he will be receiving a body of glory, will his physical mortal body necessarily be marred just as Jesus descended below all before receiving power over all?
I received an email from a reader of my blog who pointed out how Job is very much a type of the Davidic Servant. This is a brilliant analysis as Job would be the perfect recipient of a throne of glory, and his trials would merit such. Let's see how you do losing everything ... essentially the curses in opposition to the blessings of a throne of glory. No posterity. No increase. No wealth. No prosperity. No protection. etc. This is very much like a parent who wants his or her children to appreciate the gifts they receive.
Back to 3 Enoch 15 - I did some research into Shekina and Merkaba, and, well, I need to research them more as I don't quite understand what they are yet. Let's compare the description of Metatron's glory to the Angel of the Lord, Jahoel, from the Apocalypse of Abraham and the nameless angel of Daniel 10.
AoA 11:8. And I rose up and saw him who had grasped me by the right hand and set me upon my feet, and the appearance of his body was like sapphire, and the look of his countenance like crysolite, and the hair of his head like snow, and the turban on his head like the appearance of the rainbow, and the clothing of his garments like purple, and a golden sceptre was in his right hand,
Daniel 10:6 His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.
I believe this is all the same person - the Angel of the Lord of the Old Testament who undoubtedly emanated glory (Exodus 3) may have been the same nameless angel who announced Jesus' birth (and the glory of the Lord shone round about them and they were sore afraid.)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angel_of_the_Lord
Daniel 10 and 3 Enoch 16 both mention the eyes as lamps of fire. This is what has special meaning to me. It seems to me that some experiencers of seeing an Angel or the Lord Himself will see the eyes like flames of fire and some will see the color of Irises. I wonder what the difference in manifestation means!
3 Enoch 16:
(2) And on my right were divisions 6 of
fiery flames, on my left fire-brands were
burning, round about me stormwind and
tempest were blowing and in front of me and
behind me was roaring of thunder with
earthquake.

Re: 3 Enoch - Metatron - Davidic Servant
Well I researched Merkaba and found this lengthy entry in the Jewish Encyclopedia:
http://www.jewishencyclopedia.com/artic ... 8-merkabah
In a nutshell, the Merkaba is YHWHs throne of glory. Coincidentally, Job beheld the throne in addition to the mortal who became Metatron.
Shekinah is the dwelling of the divine presence of God according to Wikipedia:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shekhinah
So it appears the two are related.

3 Enoch 17 & 18
OK, so I keep mentioning 3 Enoch 17 and alluding to this cool confirmation of the seven patriarchs perhaps as an illustration of "seven Elohim." Without any further (sorry) ado, here are a couple of excerpts of a post I wrote about 1 year ago from page 5 of the thread "The Davidic Servant is The Holy Ghost."
I've added a few points of clarification in parenthesis ()
John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
My Father and your Father and My God and your God. This could be four different beings! Here's another portion from that post last April:

CHAPTER XVII
The princes of the seven heavens, of the sun, moon, planets and constellations and their suites of angels
R. Ishmael said : Metatron, the angel, the Prince of the Presence, the glory of all heavens, said to me:
(1) Seven (are the) princes, the great, beautiful, revered, wonderful and honoured ones who are appointed over the seven heavens. And these are they : MIKAEL, GABRIEL, SHATQIEL, SHACHAQIEL, BAKARIEL, BAD ARIEL, PACHRIEL.
Seven archangels. The fact their names are largely different than in 1 Enoch may seem odd, especially since we have no mention of Raphael here which is confirmed in our canon. However, Metatron, who is below these archangels in authority, has 72 names. Perhaps these archangels have more. The next verses align each archangel to dominion over the seven heavens. The only discrepancy I see here is how Noah aligns to the fifth level & law of the Gospel yet .. the sixth heaven? Then again he is second to Michael in authority. I wonder why the switcharoo though. You can largely skim through these verses as the names are just lining up to heavens sequentially; however, both Barakiel and Ophanniel are mentioned (see my original post) where Barakiel is over the second heaven. Perhaps he's Peter, unless he's aligned differently as Gabriel is. Ophanniel is the angel whose dominion is the moon. There is an angel whose dominion is the sun and another whose dominion is the stars. KOKBIEL - prince of the planets - is a name that seems to align with some of the words / names in Abraham 3 (KauKaubeam, etc.)
(2) And every one of them is the prince of
the host of (one) heaven. And each one of
them is accompanied by 496,000 myriads of
ministering angels.
(3) MIKAEL, the great prince, is appointed
over the seventh heaven, the highest one,
which is in the 'Araboth. GABRIEL, the
prince of the host, is appointed over the
sixth heaven which is in Makon.
SHATAQIEL, prince of the host, is
appointed over the fifth heaven which is in
Ma'on.
SHAHAQi'EL, prince of the host, is
appointed over the fourth heaven which is in
Zebul.
BAD ARIEL, prince of the host, is appointed
over the third heaven which is in Shehaqim.
BARAKIEL, prince of the host, is appointed
over the second heaven which is in the
height of (Merom) Raqia.
PAZRIEL, prince of the host, is appointed
over the first heaven which is in Wilon,
which is in Shamayim.
(4) Under them is GALGALLIEL, the
prince who is appointed over the globe
(galgal) of the sun, and with him are 96
great and honoured angels who move the
sun in Raqia'.
(5)Under them is 'OPHANNIEL, the prince
who is set over the globe ('ophari) of the
moon. And with him are 88 angels who
move the globe of the moon 354 thousand
parasangs every night at the time when the
moon stands in the East at its turning point.
And when is the moon sitting in the East at
its turning point? Answer: in the fifteenth
day of every month.
(6) Under them is RAHATIEL, the prince
who is appointed over the constellations.
And he is accompanied by 72 great and
honoured angels. And why is he called
RAHATIEL? Because he makes the stars
run (marhit) in their orbits and courses 339
thousand parasangs every night from the East to the West, and from
the West to the East. For the Holy One,
blessed be He, has made a tent for all of
them, for the sun, the moon, the planets and
the stars in which they travel at night from
the West to the East.
(7) Under them is KOKBIEL, the prince
who is appointed over all the planets. And
with him are 365,000 myriads of ministering
angels, great and honoured ones who move
the planets from city to city and from
province to province in the Raqia' of
heavens.
(8) And over them are SEVENTY-TWO
PRINCES OF KINGDOMS on high
corresponding to the 72 tongues of the
world. And all of them are crowned with
royal crowns and clad in royal garments and
wrapped in royal cloaks. And all of them are
riding on royal horses and they are holding
royal sceptres in their hands. And before
each one of them when he is travelling in
Raqia' , royal servants are running with great
glory and majesty even as on earth they
(princes) are travelling in chariot(s) with
horsemen and great armies and in glory and
greatness with praise, song and honour.
I realize this is a lengthy post, but in the next chapter, the dominions are repeated bottom to top rather than top to bottom. This is interesting to me as there is an inverse alignment of the dispensations to the forward movement of time with the highest being first rather than last. Perhaps this is just a coincidence, but I love how the dominion and hierarchy is communicated here. The least of the archangels sees the next highest in authority, he dismounts, removes his crown of glory from his head, and falls on his head, and so on. Think on the steeds mentioned in Revelation - a book that is ALL ABOUT Metatron receiving his crown of glory - his very first crown of glory.
CHAPTER XVIII
The order of ranks of the angels and the homage received by the higher ranks from the lower ones
R. Ishmael said: Metatron, the Angel, the Prince of the Presence, the glory of all heaven, said to me:
(1) THE ANGELS OF THE FIRST HEAVEN, when(ever) they see their prince,
they dismount from their horses and fall on their faces.
And THE PRINCE OF THE FIRST
HEAVEN, when he sees the prince of the
second heaven, he dismounts, removes the
crown of glory from his head and falls on
his face.
And THE PRINCE OF THE SECOND
HEAVEN, when he sees the Prince of the
third heaven, he removes the crown of glory
from his head and falls on his face.
And THE PRINCE OF THE THIRD
HEAVEN, when he sees the prince of the
fourth heaven, he removes the crown of
glory from his head and falls on his face.
And THE PRINCE OF THE FOURTH
HEAVEN, when he sees the prince of the
fifth heaven, he removes the crown of glory
from his head and falls on his face.
And THE PRINCE OF THE FIFTH
HEAVEN, when he sees the prince of the
sixth heaven, he removes the crown of glory
from his head and falls on his face.
And THE PRINCE OF THE SIXTH
HEAVEN, when he sees the prince of the
seventh heaven, he removes the crown of
glory from his head and falls on his face.
(2) And THE PRINCE OF THE SEVENTH
HEAVEN, when he sees THE SEVENTY-
TWO PRINCES OF KINGDOMS, he
removes the crown of glory from his head
and falls on his face.
(3) And the seventy-two princes of
kingdoms, when they see THE DOOR
KEEPERS OF THE FIRST HALL IN THE
ARABOTH RAQIA in the highest, they
remove the royal crown from their head and
fall on their faces.
And THE DOOR KEEPERS OF THE
FIRST HALL, when they see the door
keepers of the second Hall, they remove the
crown of glory from their head and fall on
their faces.
And THE DOOR KEEPERS OF THE
SECOND HALL, when they see the door
keepers of the third Hall, they remove the
crown of glory from their head and fall on
their faces.
And THE DOOR KEEPERS OF THE
THIRD HALL, when they see the door
keepers of the fourth Hall, they remove the
crown of glory from their head and fall on
their faces.
And THE DOOR KEEPERS OF THE
FOURTH HALL, when they see the door
keepers of the fifth Hall, they remove the
crown of glory from their head and fall on
their faces.
And THE DOOR KEEPERS OF THE
FIFTH HALL, when they see the door
keepers of the sixth Hall, they remove the
crown of glory from their head and fall on
their faces.
And THE DOOR KEEPERS OF THE
SIXTH HALL, when they see the DOOR
KEEPERS OF THE SEVENTH HALL, they
remove the crown of glory from their head
and fall on their faces.
(4) And the door keepers of the seventh
Hall, when they see THE FOUR GREAT
PRINCES, the honoured ones, WHO ARE
APPOINTED OVER THE FOUR CAMPS
OF SHEKINA, they remove the crown(s) of
glory from their head and fall on their faces.
This is truly amazing! What an amazing confirmation of knowledge!!!! Notice how there are 72 princes of kingdoms in between the seven heavens (archangels) and the seven halls (Elohim.) 72 princes of KINGDOMS plural! Does this mean there are 72 Sons of Elohim parallel to Jesus Christ who each are a prince of KINGDOMS?? Do you see the similarity here to Metatron? Metatron is below the seven angels of the seven heavens - an archangel of becoming, sitting on the throne of an archangel, doing the works of an archangel to become an archangel. Jesus Christ is sitting upon the throne of the Elohim to join their order which may be represented by the Seven Halls. Are there 72 worlds per prince I wonder? That would be 72 Metatron to each Prince and 72 Princes. More? I'm getting ahead of myself, but I can't help ... myself! I love the implications here!
As for the "door keepers" I wonder if they are a symbol of the Elohim rather than the Elohim themselves. 3 Enoch 18 continues on, but this post is long enough and the night late enough that nobody can accuse me of this being an April Fool's joke. Indeed it is not.
I've added a few points of clarification in parenthesis ()
So I was trying to explain the idea here that there are seven higher levels of Elohim that mirror the seven levels of Patriarchs or Archangels or Dispensation Heads and that each level of mankind would be attached to one Father (Elohim) and one God (Patriarchs of the order of "Holy Ghost.") Now with this in mind, have a read of what Jesus said to Mary:Alaris wrote: ↑April 24th, 2018, 11:41 am Say there are seven Elohim (which means Gods by the way, as I am sure you know.) One Father over each order of spirits. There is one Son of Elohim (Jesus Christ) who is inheriting all the Father hath.
Now, there are seven temporal fathers (patriarchs / archangels,) each assigned over one of these levels. So there is a (spiritual) Father (of the Elohim) and a (temporal) father (of the patriarchs) over each level.
And there is one son of becoming an Adon to the Adonai YHWH or Lords of Yahweh.
What happens next once they become? Does Jesus become a Father straightaway? Or do both sons ascend each level in turn until they reach the presiding patriarchy together? Then what? Joseph Smith said the Father would attain a higher exaltation through His Son's. See what I mean? So now Jesus is the presiding Elohim and His ascension to His higher exaltation is now dependent on His son who has been ascending with Him all along. And now there are three beings who are attributed to the number 8 - the number of rebirth, and also the number of the first day of the following week. A new week. A new Messiah. A new covenant. A new eating.
So if Jesus becomes the lowest of the order of Elohim just as the Davidic Servant / Holy Ghost becomes the lowest of the order of the Patriarchs - and they ascend together step by step, they will both reach that higher exaltation together ... again. Jesus will be the presiding Elohim just as the Holy Ghost becomes Adam / Michael. And so on and so forth. Now whether you agree with this or not, hopefully I've at least been clear enough as to this progression system that includes 7 higher levels that mirror 7 lower levels just as there is a higher God and a lesser God and a higher Priesthood and a lesser. *Ahem* Now on to 3 Enoch 17!Alaris wrote: ↑April 24th, 2018, 11:41 am See, I felt the Spirit when you had shared this before and I still do. But it wasn't until last night as I lie in bed pondering these truths that the voice of He who causes my soul to rejoice spoke to me on this mystery. The pattern in the Elohim is reflected in the Seven Spirits of God. Jesus becomes a Father, but He will not become a presiding Elohim right away. Agency is always intact. His Son ascends with Him. Father, Son, and Holy Ghost - their hands are extended to each other and they ascend together, their own success is reflected in the other. The Book of Revelation makes so much more sense with this in mind. Hosanna to God and the Lamb. He that sitteth upon the throne. He sits at the behest of the God above him--this truth applies to both Jesus and the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost's ascension is the crowning achievement of the Lord Jesus Christ--returning the first son to the presence of the Father...the first REBORN to the father ... the firstborn. The church of the firstborn. The High Priest sprinkles the blood of the kid goat seven times on the mercy seat ... because it is by the blood of the Lamb (Goat) across seven levels of ascension that he is able to fully return to the presence of the Father. Why else sprinkle it seven times?

OF SHEKINA, they remove the crown(s) of

Re: 3 Enoch - Metatron - Davidic Servant
Draw lines to every other moon, and you get a curious shape. Add that center circle, and that shape solidifies. Made me think of Metatron's cube though that's only 6 spheres rather than 8. Perhaps this sacred geometry points to these three orders of Gods - 6,7,8. Elias, Elijah, Messiah or Aaron, Patriarchal, and Melchizedek. The Airbender wrote: ↑March 3rd, 2019, 8:48 pm
In sacred geometry, Archangel Metatron, the angel of life oversees the flow of energy in a mystical cube known as Metatron's Cube, which contains all of the geometric shapes in God's creation and represents the patterns that make up everything God has made.

Re: 3 Enoch - Metatron - Davidic Servant
OK, so I'm quoting myself in the OP of this thread made on March 3, 2019. The "Jupiter Talisman" came up in a passing conversation with Robbinius, and I did some googling. I clicked on exmormon/reddit (which I normally avoid) and found a fairly benign post about evidence regarding Joseph Smith wearing the Talisman. I started to wonder if he indeed wore the Talisman, did it pertain to some revelation about himself..... anyway here's an excerpt from the post, and I hope fellow LDSFF member "Barauk Ale" doesn't mind me outing the name source (which I was unaware of.)Alaris wrote: ↑March 3rd, 2019, 4:05 pm This thread is to log my experiences with the third book of Enoch - please feel free to join the discussion, and I will be happy to entertain any posts in the spirit of civility.
I recently had an experience (maybe 2 weeks ago) where I woke up in the middle of the night groggily determined to find a way to remember the name "Barakiel" - I knew I would likely forget if I didn't write it down somehow. I grabbed my phone and opened a tab and searched for Barakiel and left that open on my screen. The next day I had forgotten about the experience until discussing spiritual matters with my wife when the memory came back to me. I grabbed my phone and there it was - Barakiel.
So, um ... yeah. I could see myself excitedly writing down "Barakiel" if I had made that connection myself to Joseph Smith. I wish the memory as to why I wrote that down would come flooding back, but what an amazing coincidence. I mean ... wow. Some dude on reddit/exmormon wrote: The code name "Baurak Ale" was used for Joseph Smith in early versions of the Doctrine and Covenants; sources: [1] (http://www.boap.org/LDS/History/HTMLHis ... .html#N_29_) [2] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_c ... _Covenants) [3] (https://publications.mi.byu.edu/fullscr ... 6&index=20). It is speculated that "Baurak Ale" is a phonetic pronunciation of "Barachiel" -- an archangel who ruled over Jupiter [source] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barachiel).
"Barauk Ale" may = "Barakiel"
So, back to the Talisman .... if you recall in the recent "Michael's Cross / Eve's Petals" thread, the dogon had an image of a circle with an X in the middle that resembled the "petal cross." Well, have a look at the Jupiter Talisman:

If you look at the Dogon symbols, those "X" symbols on the other side of the coin are represented several times. Is this the symbol of the feminine divine?
Edit:
Uh, wow, from the coincidences keep piling up.
"Barachiel is also traditionally associated with the month of February and the Zodiacal sign Pisces" ~ wikipedia
In the linked thread above within "Michael's Cross / Eve's Petals" I show the how the pisces sign makes Michael's Cross and Eve's Petals by duplicating, rotating 90 degrees. In fact, the symbol carved into Hathor's Temple (or was it Isis?) by Coptic Christians clearly contains that pisces symbol within it's geometry. Though I wrote down the name 'Barakiel" it was my wife who saw the Pisces symbol as well as the other symbol of the dogon that is in both Egyptian hieroglyphs / art and Christian alike - Eve's Petals. Too many coincidences here all pointing to each other. Doubt not but be believing.
I'll demonstrate how that X and circle and Michael's cross all neatly make a seal of Melchizedek when I get some time.
