Why do you say that? The school that bears his name is still ranked as one of the most gay-unfriendly campuses in the nation.
This guy didn't feel like he could come out until after he graduated. Isn't that what we're going for?

I've seen male dogs try to hump other male dogs. They also lick themselves on a regular basis. I could see the same thing happening with cougars.

Just an FYI, when male dogs are trying to "hump" other male dogs, its not sexual. Its about dominance/control.

I have seen dogs try to do that with blankets, legs, and other objects.
What I haven't seen is a dog that has "come out" about his blanket loving as an integral part of his identity.
I also haven't seen other dogs celebrate the blanket loving, hold parades to indicate how proud they are to be born a blanket lover, and give special protections to the blanket lovers.

More re-inventing history in your own image to justify your immoral beliefs.

At what point does the virtue of tolerance become the wickedness of permissiveness?

Did you notice the first sentence in his opinion piece? "I kept the best part of my life a secret..."
So now, having same-sex attraction is the BEST part of an LDS man's life.
Seriously?

Re: BYU mascot Cosmo comes out as gay.
Being a heterosexual and enjoying the sacred acts with my wife are one of the best parts of my life for sure.....so I guess for him being gay and having the same sexual release in the end is just as gratifying....

Homosexuality is rape (spiritually they’re just as damaging). Physically they’re pretty similar as well. Too many people view sex as something physical when it’s supposed to be spiritual.

Re: BYU mascot Cosmo comes out as gay.
I don't relate with the idea that my sexual preferences would equate to "the best part of my life".
Honestly, I don't even know what that answer is at the moment!
What is the best part of my life? Hmmm...well, certainly not the fact that I'm attracted to women.

I can't get onboard with this definition. To me, words have meaning and meaning matters. There is a generally agreed upon meaning and definition for the word "rape" and it is not "homosexuality".Benaishtart wrote: ↑February 28th, 2019, 2:34 pm Homosexuality is rape (spiritually they’re just as damaging). Of course there is nothing stopping you from assigning any definition you want to a word, but, be prepared to struggle mightily to communicate with others in a productive and useful way if you decide to do that. You can also expect many people to ignore you too. Not advocating that, just saying.

Re: BYU mascot Cosmo comes out as gay.
Except wickedness never was happiness. I don't ever recall breaking the commandments and rejoicing that it felt gratifying.
And to be sure, acting on sexual desires outside the bounds God set is wickedness- gay or straight. God never has approved of homosexual relationships. In fact, He says they're an abomination.
