Will Satan always be hanging about?
Can we ever expect to live our lives without the evil one hanging about doing his thing?
I know in the millennium his hands will be tied
But what about the rest of eternity?
We read in the scriptures that there needs to be opposition in all things, will he always be that opposition?
People argue if you have good you also need evil, is that true?
In the prexistence we didn't have the devil! I wonder what our experience was like back then?
After this life where we have been proved will we be finally free of him after the judgement?
In other words can I ever look forward to living without him somewhere?

Re: Will Satan always be hanging about?
The scriptures provide a clear answer. In the last days (these days) Satan will rage. When the millennium comes he will be bound. As the Millennium concludes he will be loosed for a "short season," though the length of time isn't clearly identified. Some people think it is another thousand years, some think it's just a few years or less. After that short season comes the final judgement. Sons of perdition will accompany satan and those who didn't keep their first state into outer darkness.

I think you get to a point that even if satans there it's like he's metaphorically bound from you because you're so righteous. Christ was so good that no matter what the devil threw at him he rejected it. So technically he was "bound" in the sense that he could not reach Christ.
There's some theories that say that there is another Satan, because the reason Satan fell is because something tempted him. So there possibly was some form of place you could go to, (maybe he snuck out of heaven and went to some forbidden place) to be tempted.
Theory.
Another theory is that it's true you have to deal with Satan for the rest of eternity. But you're so good that it doesn't effect you.
And you live in such love and peace that it won't even tempt you.
Another theory is that there was no satan in the pre existence. And what if satan was not on earth? Would we still be tried? They say the fall would provide a natural force that would test us. So it could be possible to be tried without evil forces after us.
I personally think satan is not allowed in heaven. So heaven is a safe place. Its going out from that safe place where you might encounter some issues. Heaven is called rest, or a place of rest. Rest from What? The destroyer.
There's probably some quotes somewhere about this rest. But I don't have them.

Scriptures and modern revelation address almost all of these theories. Reasoned thought addresses others.XEmilyX wrote: ↑July 24th, 2018, 11:29 pm I think you get to a point that even if satans there it's like he's metaphorically bound from you because you're so righteous.
