The only man who can correct the church and set it back in order is this man:
7 And it shall come to pass that I, the Lord God, will send one mighty and strong, holding the scepter of power in his hand, clothed with light for a covering, whose mouth shall utter words, eternal words; while his bowels shall be a fountain of truth, to set in order the house of God, and to arrange by lot the inheritances of the saints whose names are found, and the names of their fathers, and of their children, enrolled in the book of the law of God;
8 While that man, who was called of God and appointed, that putteth forth his hand to steady the ark of God, shall fall by the shaft of death, like as a tree that is smitten by the vivid shaft of lightning.(D&C 85)
Until then, I say wait and allow those with the keys run its course. And by all means, for goodness sake, just stay with the church.

JS taught keys were more inline of keys of knowledge like those on a map than other things. In addition here is a post about sealing power which is the realm of keys. https://seekingyhwh.com/2018/04/30/sealing-power/

And then there are these quotes from JS that describe things different than what the LDS church does.

All the prophets had the Melchizedek Priesthood and were ordained by God himself. (TPJS, p. 180.)

JST Genesis 14
26 Now Melchizedek was a man of faith, who wrought righteousness; and when a child he feared God, and stopped the mouths of lions, and quenched the violence of fire.
27 And thus, having been approved of God, he was ordained an high priest after the order of the covenant which God made with Enoch,
28 It being after the order of the Son of God; which order came, NOT BY MAN, nor the will of man; neither by father nor mother; neither by beginning of days nor end of years; but of God;
29 And it was delivered unto men BY THE CALLING OF HIS OWN VOICE, according to his own will, unto as many as believed on his name.

There definitely is such a thing as keys of the church. So, people that say the church does not have the baptism of John is wrong. In fact, it is the only place on earth where you can get the baptism of John.
69 Lift up your hearts and rejoice, for unto you the kingdom, or in other words, the keys of the church have been given. Even so. Amen.(D&C 42)

I disagree, for example the quotes I gave above, and where did Alma the elder get permission to baptize, and Jesus did not lay his hands on the 12 to give them power to baptize it was only his voice.

Joseph Smith:
I suppose I had established this Church on a permanent foundation when I went to Missouri, and indeed I did so, for if I had been taken away, it would have been enough, but I yet live, and therefore God requires more at my hands.

We defiantly see things differently and it is obvious we are not going to convince each other we both have quotes that feels supports our belief.

Thank you for being civil.

I can agree to disagree. We don’t live under the administration of the gospel in the Old Testament, or the New Testament, or the book of Mormon. We are under the administration that Joseph Smith set up (D&C). And he set it up on a permanent foundation.

Of course it is! The Brethren have made some policy changes, sure! And they are certainly with in their authority to do so. But like I said, that prophesied servant is the only one to put it back in order.

It's not. No one has authority to change God's words.

OK, well if you have a moment, you can check and see if there were any policy changes in any administration in the Scriptures by rule of expediency.

ok, well when you have a moment, you can check what it says about church structure and compare it to what the church is doing now.

God loves his church enough to send a servant to correct it and set it back in order. To me that says volumes. We should not disregard the church.

Apparently he didn't love His church enough from other times.

Here is how the scriptures define church.

D&C 10
67 Behold, this is my doctrine—whosoever repenteth and cometh unto me, the same is my church.
68 Whosoever declareth more or less than this, the same is not of me, but is against me; therefore he is not of my church.
69 And now, behold, whosoever is of my church, and endureth of my church to the end, him will I establish upon my rock, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against them.

Mosiah (LDS 26:22) (RLDS 11:126-130) For behold, THIS IS MY CHURCH; WHOSOEVER IS BAPTIZED SHALL BE BAPTIZED UNTO REPENTANCE. And whomsoever ye receive shall believe in my name; and him will I freely forgive.

Well, I’m glad times are different. There is no denying that prophecy.

Yeah, I agree with the scripture. The church is the covenant body of the members. And the keys are with the church. Unless you cut yourself off…

one thing that is taught Lectures on Faith 6 is that we need to do the same things as the ancients to get what they got. There is nothing new under the sun, times are the same.

We see different things in the scriptures that is for sure.

I believe one thing that servant will do is bring us in conformity with the revelations of Joseph Smith (D&C). That includes building Zion and gathering Israel. He will also bring the restoration of all things.

Yup.

By fixing a "church", which has never happened before? I don't know of any time God has taken the current "church" and tried to repair it.

Of course it has! Prophets come to correct the church and get them living the commandments! Abinadi? Samuel the Lamanite?
7 For I have given him the keys of the mysteries, and the revelations which are sealed, until I shall appoint unto them another in his stead.(D&C 28)
This other servant will get new commandments and continue from where Joseph Smith left off.
