Posters getting Offended and Upset on this Forum

When I read posts where people are arguing or have a difference of opinion it puts me off
Some would say well don't read the posts then! but you don't know what's happening until you read it
I guess having differences of opinion are a natural consequence of having an open forum where people can post and reply to posts!
We must have a rule of etiquette which underpins everything we do in this forum
Surely we are all in the same boat, we are all seekers of truth, enlightenment and understanding, why cant we be civil towards each other?
If people come onto this forum and see the discord then it will put people off joining, surely we don't want that?
I for one want this forum to continue into the future
Before I post I will double check that my words can't be misconstrued and also that they are not going to potentially cause offence or upset anyone, I guess you cannot quarantee anything, if someone wants to find and take offence then they will find it, if someone wishes to argue then that's what they will do
I don't know what the answers are to this conundrum?

Pretend you are in Sunday School when writing a post
Pray about it before clicking "Submit" - every time
Pretend the Savior is sitting by you
Remember how silly it is to break the higher law of "Do unto others" / "love thy neighbor" while attempting to teach some other law / principle
Remember D&C 121 - persuasion good. compulsion bad.
