I must admit that most of the time I just go through the motions when partaking of the sacrament, I have partaken of it thousands of times, maybe if it happened once a month it would be more meaningful but I know the lord wants it weekly just as he provided manner for the Israelites to gather every morning, to help them remember the lord their God.
How can I make this weekly renewal of the covenant I made when I was 8 more meaningful in my life?

Bring your scriptures to church. Not a smart phone or tablet, but paper scriptures. Before the sacrament begins open the Book of Mormon to Moroni. After the prayer, while waiting for the tray to reach you then waiting for the rest of the ward, read the words of the sacrament prayer and really think about what you are promising and what you are promised to receive. Then contemplate what blessings you received in the last week that fit the description of those promises.

Genuinely visualize the Savior entering the chapel. Imagine the hush that would come over the congregation, the tears that would fill peoples eyes immediately. Think of the spirit you would feel, that everyone would feel in that moment. Picture him grabbing the tray and bringing it to you. In that moment what would you say to him in your mind while he gave you the bread and water? What would he communicate to you as he looked at you with his piercing eyes? Maybe write down or remember those words while thinking in that moment and then commit to act on the impressions that come with the honesty of standing before the Lord while remembering his great sacrifice on your behalf.

Imagine the last supper. I like to think about my family too and how I can be with them forever

Sacrament is more meaningful to me when I do in my life what both sacrament prayers indicate, particularly the blessing of the water. When I do not in my life what is indicated in both prayers, then sacrament really is not very meaningful. Quoting from the BoM:
3 O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this bread to the souls of all those who partake of it; that they may eat in remembrance of the body of thy Son, and witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they are willing to take upon them the name of thy Son, and always remember him, and keep his commandments which he hath given them, that they may always have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.
And more importantly:
O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee, in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this wine to the souls of all those who drink of it, that they may do it in remembrance of the blood of thy Son, which was shed for them; that they may witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they DO always remember him, that they may have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.
With the first prayer, we witness what we are willing to do. With the second, we witness what we DO; which means what we are already doing. If we are not already doing them, then we are bearing false witness to God when we partake of those emblems.
