Shadow is right.
Thinker does indeed see things thru' her own special lenses, from her own perspective.
Men and women are not equal. It's a fact of life, a fact of God's creation, and a fact we all have, and should accept if we have a healthy understanding of ourselves.
Women attorney's become the perfect example of what not to do.
They study male attorney's and conclude that they are ... "Chauvinist", which they interpret to be obnoxious and pushy. So these women, thinking that's what they need to do to become a successful attorney. They don't become men. They can't. Not even the butch ones. And it's not all women attorneys. Some retain their feminine charm, their womanhood, their grace and elegance, and do a job equal to any man.
But some adopt this obnoxious and pushy attitude in response to this perceived "Chauvanism" and just get it all wrong.
To me it even broke down to a great extent to political lines. The Republican women were the latter. Equal on the job, but still 100% woman at it.
The Democrat women were the ones over reacting. And thus getting it all wrong. Again, not all, just a larger percent.
The basic rule I always gave was, just be yourself. Don't paint others into a caricature and then over react. Don't try to put on a toughness that didn't fit you. Just be yourself.
