President Nelson and a prophetic call to rise in might and gather Isarael

Another witness that gods prophet is at work on the earth. I do not know how anyone could sincerely watch this and not know that the work of the gathering of Israel is being lead by Jesus Christ through prophet of God on the earth. Of this I have absolutely no doubts, only sorrow for those who struggle to recognize the reality of these things and miss the blessings of following prophetic counsel.

There is only one small problem... the gathering of Israel has been done away with... Everyone is staying in their own country..

“There is nothing of greater consequence. Absolutely nothing,” “This gathering should mean everything to you. This is the mission for which you were sent to earth.” President Nelson

Within the context that Jesus Christ is the one asking us to gather Israel. Nothing should be more important to us than Christ, even the Gathering of Israel.

5 things to do (if you are young at heart)
1. Disengage from a constant reliance on social media. (Does this mean LDSFF...)
2. Make a weekly sacrifice of time to the Lord, for three weeks in a row.
3. Do a thorough life assessment with the Lord, perhaps with parents and a bishop, to ensure an individual is firmly planted on the covenant path.
4. Pray daily that all of God's children might receive the blessings of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
5. Stand out and be different from the world.

Indeed a prophet of God spoke to the youth (and all of us) last night. It affected my 12 yr so much that she wrote down 2 pages of notes in her journal.

Elder Holland:
Zion. The promised land. The New Jerusalem. Where is it? Well, we are not sure, but we will find it. For more than 4,000 years of covenantal history, this has been the pattern: Flee and seek. Run and settle. Escape Babylon. Build Zion’s protective walls.
Until now. Until tonight. Until this our day.
Our Call Is to Build Zion Where We Are
One of the many unique characteristics of our dispensation, this the dispensation of the fulness of times—the last and greatest of all dispensations—is the changing nature of how we establish the kingdom of God on earth. You see, one of the truly exciting things about this dispensation is that it is a time of mighty, accelerated change. And one thing that has changed is that the Church of God will never again flee. It will never again leave Ur in order to leave Haran, in order to leave Canaan, in order to leave Jerusalem, in order to leave England, in order to leave Kirtland, in order to leave Nauvoo, in order to go who knows where. No, as Brigham Young said for us all, “We have been kicked out of the frying-pan into the fire, out of the fire into the middle of the floor, and here we are and here we will stay.”11
Of course, that statement wasn’t a comment about the Salt Lake Valley only or even the Wasatch Front generally; it became a statement for the members of the Church all over the world. In these last days, in this our dispensation, we would become mature enough to stop running. We would become mature enough to plant our feet and our families and our foundations in every nation, kindred, tongue, and people permanently. Zion would be everywhere—wherever the Church is. And with that change—one of the mighty changes of the last days—we no longer think of Zion as where we are going to live; we think of it as how we are going to live.

I was excited that my 15 yr old son actually took notes. He must have been paying attention.

I had to take a long drive but I was listening to it on XM with my family and my wife was like WOW. Even I felt the power of his words. President Nelson is indeed a prophet of the Lord. There is no question about it.

Gathering Israel is gathering people to Christ. It is the work and glory of the father. It is the ultimate way to reverence and show appreciation for the atonement and opportunity for salvation.

For me it will mean a break from all electronics with the exception of what is necessary for work and my church calling, and a focus on my family. I’m sure it will mean different things to each of us but no doubt will be a blessing to many.

President Nelson 2006:
The choice to come unto Christ is not a matter of physical location; it is a matter of individual commitment. People can be “brought to the knowledge of the Lord” without leaving their homelands. True, in the early days of the Church, conversion often meant emigration as well. But now the gathering takes place in each nation. The Lord has decreed the establishment of Zion in each realm where He has given His Saints their birth and nationality. Scripture foretells that the people “shall be gathered home to the lands of their inheritance, and shall be established in all their lands of promise.” “Every nation is the gathering place for its own people.” The place of gathering for Brazilian Saints is in Brazil; the place of gathering for Nigerian Saints is in Nigeria; the place of gathering for Korean Saints is in Korea; and so forth. Zion is “the pure in heart.” Zion is wherever righteous Saints are. Publications, communications, and congregations are now such that nearly all members have access to the doctrines, keys, ordinances, and blessings of the gospel, regardless of their location.

Do you just make stuff up?

This is so far out in the weeds, I don't even know which national story should be told to illustrate the stories of\ Jews recently leaving the few countries, that still have Jews left, whether Iraq after "democratization" after the overthrow of Saddam Hussaein, or France since the rise of Islamic terrorism directed at Jews, and so many more. Today, there or only 2 countries in the world where there are more than 1 million Jews. Israel, and the U.S.
So where do you get this stuff, from your fevered fantasies?
Regards,
George Clay

What a beautiful insight from the Book of Mormon.

From President Nelson in 2014:
Why is this promise of gathering so crucial? Because the gathering of Israel is necessary to prepare the world for the Second Coming! And the Book of Mormon is God’s instrument needed to accomplish both of these divine objectives.
The Book of Mormon is a gift from God to the entire world. It is the only book the Lord has testified to be true.It is a gift from Nephi, Jacob, Mormon, Moroni, and its inspired and martyred translator, the Prophet Joseph Smith. The Book of Mormon is purposely addressed to the remnant of the house of Israel.
Regarding the Second Coming, we know it is “now nigh at hand, and in a time [yet] to come” (D&C 63:53). And when the Savior comes again, it will not be in secret. Meanwhile, much work must be done to gather Israel and prepare the world for the glorious Second Coming.

1 Nephi 10:14 And after the house of Israel should be scattered they should be gathered together again; or, in fine, after the Gentiles had received the fulness of the Gospel, the natural branches of the olive tree, or the remnants of the house of Israel, should be grafted in,
or come to the knowledge of the true Messiah, their Lord and their Redeemer.

Before I listened to Pres. Nelson speak, I prayed. I have great assurance that he holds the keys to guide the Lord’s church.
I admit, though, I thought we were talking about a litteral gathering of Israel at first. Within the first few minutes, it became clear that that’s not what this was about (which made me feel better, because that wouldn’t have made sense). He did call it, however, the “final, great gathering event”. I’m not sure what to take from that. I mean, there will be a litteral gathering of Israel taking place in the future. And he could just as well say, “every member a missionary” as David O. McKay. But Pres. Nelson is taking a more focused approach with the youth to live up to higher standards and bring others to the gospel. He affirmed we are in the last days, and it seems perhaps we are to arise and prepare for the end days.
On another note, it’s interesting because I was just thinking earlier this week of going back to a flip-phone. Maybe invest in my own inexpensive laptop which forces me to manage my time better online (rather than on a whim with my iPhone). I used a really inexpensive netbook for college, and it was great.

George, you haven't figured this stuff out yet? Why are you asking questions that have such obvious answers? I mean, of course, if you disagree with someone, then that is a sure fire indicator to you and to the rest of the world that the person you are disagreeing with has gotten their ideas from a fevered fantasy. That's a foregone conclusion. Just move on and don't even bother addressing people you disagree with since we already know they're just sharing fevered fantasies, or are being incoherent, and not to mention they probably have their panties in a twist too.
