This reply is in response to a poster named Parture, but it applies to everyone who wants to push people out of their life-raft into the water, because they think they have a better boat! Know ye not that that man might not be able to swim, and his loss of faith and blood be upon you, if he drowns and is lost!
Judging Other... Peoples, Faiths, or Deeds, as they follows the Messiah... IS NOT GIVEN UNTO US! Yes you can discern for yourself, and can discuss such, but judging by way of condemning or attempting to destroy others agency, is just plain evil!
I have seen millions throughout history who have stood upon their own supposed knowledge and theories, to eventually be proven fools before G_d. This man thinks he has a superior knowledge here, when in fact, he is taking other peoples beliefs and understandings, who many times, if not most of the time, it eventually is proven that they having hidden agendas, that they ignore facts or evidences because it contradicts there beliefs.
When a man does this, standing on the shoulders of other men, that inevitably makes him a fool of fools. Only by following the Messiah, can a man find true knowledge and joy.
SO, evidently this man wanted us (me) to get all worked up because he thinks he had found a truth, that supports his beliefs, and makes him feel superior to others. Well, I could show him hundreds of so called facts that disproves hundreds of facts or stories listed in the Bible, but I am sorry, I know better then to run off on that crusade, which apparently he did not.
Anti-testimony never converts anyone! The Messiah, when asked about others doing or believing in, and keeping His says, without what they (His Apostles) thought was by their permission or by their authority... the Master told them:
49 And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.
50 And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.
[Luke 9:50, KJV]
And again:
38 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.
39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
40 For he that is not against us is on our part.
41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
[Mark 9:38-41. KJV]
So, what am I saying here?
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
[Matthew 12:35-37, KJV]
Are you or this man so sure in yourself that you wish to be judged upon your words here? If people profess the Messiah, and do good deeds, but others feel they are not doing it correctly or by their authority, so they think they have the right to forbid them and command them to stop, or even the right to just make fun of them for believing in things they do not believe in, does anyone really have that right?
I have revealed what the Messiah's words are upon this subject. I would hope that this man, surly must know this is not representing his faith well or Christianity for that matter. I might ask here, who are the real Christians!
Shalom

AMEN Brother! Re: Judging Others...
Great post! I needed to hear this. I am preparing to speak to a Methodist minister who is actively combative towards LDS people and I've had promptings to build a relationship with him. The scriptures applies to anyone who follows Christ, not just one sect. We are on the same team, same Master
