I agree with what those men say. They are not saying the church isn’t true which is what the post is implying. Are you or investigator implying the authority to administer ordinances are found outside of the church? Just want to clarify.
There are plenty of people who will carefully say one thing but not mean it. Yes, Marc implies that authority to administer ordinances are found outside the church. His most recent baptism was performed by someone outside of the church.
Finrock, Investigator, Marc
What are your beliefs about the church? Why is it so hard to just give a straight forward answer?
Its not hard to give a straight forward answer. During the course of a discussion for you to start doing a "faith test" is silly nonsense. If you want to know my beliefs about the Church, search my posts. I've answered these ridiculous "faith test" questions many times since I've participated in this forum so, if you really want to know, then look it up. Won't be hard to find an answer.
But, here is the thing, what my beliefs about the Church are, or my beliefs on ordinances, etc. have nothing to do with what I've said and it has no bearing on my point in this thread and in this discussion. I get the impression that you think these "loyalty test" to the Church are meaningful and have some bearing to what constitutes truth or what is right versus wrong, but you are mistaken.

I apologize. After thinking it through I realize my call out was a little hasty, and perhaps emotionally driven. I am always trying to discern motives so that I can gain as much perspective and mitigate critical or false judgements. I do believe you have a good heart and appreciate your posts. I also feel Marc is a wonderful person with a huge heart, and genuinely doing his best to follow Jesus. I may have different conclusions about some things he has felt to do, but I don’t see him as someone who is trying to lead someone away from the church (where as I feel some here really do have that motive)
