Ah, OK. Morality and faith are not more complex, but I would submit that complexity is just the way life is, and that it is unlikely to get less so. And I see that as a positive thing. For sure, complexity stretches us, intellectually. We simply need to be adequate to that stretch. That is just the way God teaches us.

How do you explain the battle of Gog and Magog during the "little season", just prior to the end of earth? It is mentioned in Rev 20:7-9 and D&C 88:111-116 where Satan and his armies go up against Michael and his armies...the number is as the sand of the sea.

At present I can only envision that happening if the First Presidency tells us what to do, just as they did Re. the marriage amendment issues. The Church leadership has for many years now been silent on that principle of the Gospel that requires Latter-day Saints to "befriend" the Constitution.
If you listen to Ezra Taft Benson talks on the constitution on youtube he says it will civilians and church members even unto death that will save the constitution. In fact he said it manytimes you can find copies of his speeches online. But he was not the only prophet to say it. I agree, I believe it will be saved by thises who love freedom, the constitution and understand that God inspired it, LDS are not only ones that believe the constitution was inspired by God. I have been saddened to see all the liberalism thinking that has crept into the church and willness to give up our freedoms. People like Romney. We must be willing to stand with every American who is willing to fight to save the constitution, Benson said we may have to fight even unto the sheeding of blood to save the constitution.

There are individuals and small groups of people who are studying the history and principles of the U.S. Constitution. I expect that once a serious effort is underway to save and restore the Constitution, some people may try to get into the act who have not learned the principles of the Constitution, and may introduce chaos into the effort.

I guess that if no Church members are able to participate in the saving of the Constitution, the Lord will raise up non-members to do the job.
I venture to say that in recent years the Constitution has been brought to the attention of probably millions of Americans mostly by the work of one man who is not a Latter-day Saint - Ron Paul.

Its the unity found amongst the Saints in Utah and surrounding areas that will stand them in good stead, they are concentrated in great numbers there and are highly organised, in any major crisis they will bind together to form an exceedingly strong and powerfull tribe as it were, those that are not active will rally around the Ensign of the church, this will swell its numbers for there will be safety amongst the saints of Utah because of the numerical superiority and cohesion to be found amongst them, hence when all around them if other states go into strife, turmoil and rebellion, the Saints will be as one around their Prophet and their church.
Hence when all the upheaval and strife amongst the states has worn these states out, if such happens the organised body of the church will arise from the ashes to protect what is left of the constitution and build it up again as perchance it will be the only large organised body left to do so.
Lets hope that your america does not crumble at this time for the beginning of sorrows has begun, and it behooves every Saint to keep the faith and to stay close to the main body of the church, for there is safety there, both spiritually and temporaly....

What does "save the constitution" even mean? To be honest, I have saved the constitution. I have a copy locked up in my safe. What good is it to have a constitution if no one follows it. The BOM prophesies the full end of ALL nations. That includes "America" as we know it. Don't be waiting for some elder (Mitt Romney) to ride down out of the rocky mountains on a white horse and bring "America" back from the brink of destruction. That ship has already sailed and there are a lot of mormons who are staying with the boat...

To restore its purpose and validity, to show God we care that it was Him that gave it to us. It is also understood that when Christ comes, He will have the government on His shoulders and we have to realize it is the very same government under-which the Constitution provides. The Constitution does not give us rights. It protects the priviledges and freedoms that God gave us in the first place. For God raised up the Founders for that very purpose.

Utah? I beg to differ there my friend. You may be right about people coming together in a crisis, BUT, where are those people NOW? Heck, Utah is being totally overrun by every form of more decadence ever known amongst the children of men. Sadly Utah is NO longer the standard upon which other nations shall flow for safety. We ARE in a crisis even as I type this and where are the Utah Saints in all this? I believe Hatch is from there, as are several others that are or were in positions of political power and yet........WE THE PEOPLE of the Church have NOT done our due diligence, and we continually support those candidates and causes that are not only violating the laws of God, but, are quickly and not even quietly anymore dismantling not just our moral fabric but our very right to worship whom, where and what we may.

When Elijah the Prophet fell apon his knees, thinking he was the only follower of Yahweh left in the land of Israel the lord said unto him....
"There are 7000 in Israel that have not bowed the knee to Baal...."
Its the same today, there may be so many that follow Baal in Utah, but there will be a faithfull remnant that will be the preserving salt of the Saints and the upholding of the Gospel, the church and the constitution if it comes to that...

By reading and applying their duty to throw off bad government and instituting new guards per the Declaration of Independence.
I have yet to fully understand why "We The People" have not adhered and implemented that mandate. Instead we now have socialists in every faction of government and they are pushing hard to quash freedom and liberty, and to reduce our religious freedoms. We've seen bibles and flags being burned in the streets. We've seen Antifa and BLM destroying our cities, monuments and people. Yet "We The People" sit back and watch it happen as if we're merely watching a horror movie on TV.
The words of President Benson are not mentioned when he said we must stand up for freedom whatever the cost. Now we hear what appears to be just the opposite. So...which directive do we follow? Is everything we've heard in the past now null and void? Do we now cower down and wait to see if the other shoe drops? Do we cross our fingers and hope all this nerve wracking chaos will just go away? Do we pretend Biden and his cronies will do the right thing for "We The People" and not destroy and reverse all the good things Trump did?
Even if Trump runs for POTUS again in 2024...and even if he were to be elected...he would have to start all over and redo what he took four years to accomplish already. Irreversible damage will be done to many things Trump resolved so Americans could be fuel independent and jobs coming back to America.
The Socialist controlled Democrats are out to destroy America's freedom and liberty and turn it into a pile of rubbish ready for the refuse dump.

I think the best way the people can save the Constitution RIGHT NOW is to contribute money to Trump.
Seriously.
More money = more lawsuits against election fraud, etc., and treason = more time for him to charge people and delegate the armed forces against traitors = upholding the Constitution.

If Joe Biden doesn't concede and the US Supreme Court doesn't overturn the fraudulent election, President Trump will have no choice but to exercise powers as Commander and Chief to “defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”
It appears that Obama did some good after all. His EO's are set in place for Trump to bear down on fraudulent Elections and incarcerate all treasonous participants.

Taking Additional Steps to Address the National Emergency With Respect to Significant Malicious Cyber-Enabled Activities
By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (50 U.S.C. 1701 et seq.) (IEEPA), the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1601 et seq.) (NEA), and section 301 of title 3, United States Code,
I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, in order to take additional steps to deal with the national emergency with respect to significant malicious cyber-enabled activities declared in Executive Order 13694 of April 1, 2015, and in view of the increasing use of such activities to undermine democratic processes or institutions, hereby order:

Imposing Certain Sanctions in the Event of Foreign Interference in a United States Election
I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, find that the ability of persons located, in whole or in substantial part, outside the United States to interfere in or undermine public confidence in United States elections, including through the unauthorized accessing of election and campaign infrastructure or the covert distribution of propaganda and disinformation, constitutes an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States. Although there has been no evidence of a foreign power altering the outcome or vote tabulation in any United States election, foreign powers have historically sought to exploit America's free and open political system. In recent years, the proliferation of digital devices and internet-based communications has created significant vulnerabilities and magnified the scope and intensity of the threat of foreign interference, as illustrated in the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment. I hereby declare a national emergency to deal with this threat.
On March 30, 2020 Pres Trump issued a continuation order stating, “I am continuing for 1 year the national Emergency declared in Executive order 13694
Trump must have been placed in office by God so that our freedoms and liberty can still hold strong.

Much like the state of the Christian church in Joseph's day, there is nothing to save. Reformation is not the answer. Restoration is.

I think restoration is already covered by irate patriots from AZ to Michigan to Georgia that are finally standing up for freedom. And their message is strong and loud.

In an email I received, it read that if Pres Trump has to initiate marshal law in order to enforce law and order, declare a stay of Habeas Corpus, arrest those guilty of treason, and use military tribunals to determine their fate, then welcome to the Book of Mormon history of this nation.
