1st Law of Thermodynamics
First law of thermodynamics – Energy can neither be created nor destroyed. It can only change forms. In any process, the total energy of the universe remains the same. For a thermodynamic cycle the net heat supplied to the system equals the net work done by the system.

Draft minutes for June 26, 2019

July 23, 2019
Ann Hendricks, Secretary 9/11 Monthly Teleconference Call
**********************
Draft minutes for the June 26, 2019 regular conference call

Present were:
Cheryl Curtiss, Teleconference co-facilitator, Connecticut 9/11 Truth
Craig McKee, Teleconference co-facilitator, Truth and Shadows
Ann Hendricks, Teleconference secretary
Marti Hopper, Colorado 9/11 Truth
Barbara Honegger, Lawyers’ Committee for 9/11 Inquiry
Peter Michael Ketcham, formerly of NIST
Nita Renfrew, New York 9/11 Truth
John O’Malley, DC911Truth
Cheri Aspen, San Diego 9/11 Truth
James Hufferd, 9/11 Grassroots
Cat McGuire, 9/11 Truth Outreach
Karl Golovin
Steve Stodola, Boston 9/11 Truth
Dan Hennen, TAP
Jonathan Mark, Fly By News
Zander Arena
Doug West
Gerald Pechenuk, LarouchePac
David Rolde, Anti-imperialist activist

The minutes of the May 29, 2019 regular conference call were APPROVED.

Book published
James Hufferd spoke about his latest book, Colonel Crystal’s Parallel Universe: A Defense Only Military. This is a novel about a top flight commander in Afghanistan and Iraq who retires and , disillusioned with the U.S. Military, writes down his grievances about U.S. foreign policy. He develops a concept of a defense only military. James said, “All countries have this except for the United States. Russia and China each have one foreign base, but the U.S. has over a thousand military bases and installations on foreign soil.” This novel is James’s 10th book and is available on Amazon and other online bookstores. James’s website is http://911truth.org/grassroots-contacts/

Apollo lunar missions
Jonathan Mark of FlyBy News has been considering the implausibility of the Apollo moon landings, in part because NASA now states it has to learn how to protect the astronauts before they can send them beyond low earth orbit. After 10 years of seeing the public’s resistance to 9/11 facts, Jonathan decided to look to the subject of the future, the exploration of outer space. “They will either have to keep lying about what they claim to have done, using 1960s technology, and keep suppressing the truth, or, they will have to own up to it. And if they own up to it, this could redirect the country because of the popular uprising of all these people realizing they’ve been under cognitive dissonance most of their lives and they will demand change.” Jonathan’s website is https://www.flybynews.com

Strategy for victory
Gerald Pechenuk’s presentation regarded ending perpetual war and the surveillance nightmare of the post 9/11 era. He spoke of Bill Binney’s position that Russia never hacked the DNC computers and the effort to get Binney to testify of this before Congress. “As a result of this lie, that Russia hacked the DNC, the Congress passed a bill that the United States can carry out cyber warfare against Russia, China, Iran and North Korea without it going through the President.” Gerald also told about the petition to have Lyndon Larouche exonerated, which is posted on their website: ttps://larouchepac.com

Colorado Pentagon conference
Barbara Honegger and Bonnie Faulkner attended the May Pentagon conference sponsored by Scientists for 9/11 Truth, and Barbara provided a review. She met Warren Stutt, who had analysed the alleged Flight 77 Flight Data Recorder. His findings were that it indicated a north path for the plane that approached the Pentagon. The conference videos are available at http://www.scientistsfor911truth

Barbara’s rebuttal video can be found here: https://youtu.be/05wSreYUUnY
In response to a question, Barbara presented her theory about why some in the Truth Movement have been accelerating their support for the claim that Flight 77 really hit the Pentagon. She responded that it might be related to the release of the 28 pages and to the ongoing lawsuit by 9/11 family members against the government of Saudi Arabia, which could not succeed if Flight 77 is shown not to have hit the Pentagon.

Announcements
Karl Golovin told of attending a Brookings Institution event on May 29 and asking General Joseph Dunford, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, whether a false flag terrorist attack could be used to lead the U.S. into war against Iran. Kevin Barrett wrote an article about this and included the C-Span video link: https://www.veteranstoday.com/2019/05/30/dunford/
Barbara Honegger mentioned two developments with potential to increase 9/11 truth awareness. A friend of hers attended a meeting in Europe and discussed 9/11 truth with Admiral Mike Rogers, recently retired NSA director, who seemed to show a positive reaction when learning about the Lawyers’ Committee efforts. Additionally, a film production company that supplies documentaries to Japanese mainstream television is now producing a film about 9/11, after learning of the Lawyers’ Committee Grand Jury Petition.
Barbara also gave an update on September 11 anniversary event planning: Professor Daniele Ganser will be the keynote speaker at the Zurich event; Lawyers’ Committee members will also be speaking. The videos from this eight-hour event will be available on YouTube. A Dutch newspaper about 9/11 is currently being distributed in a different European city every weekend. It will be published in English and be available at the Zurich event. Mick Harrison will be speaking at the 9/11 film festival in Oakland, CA. David Meiswinkle and Andrew Kreig are planning an event for either Washington, D.C., or New York City.
Cheryl Curtiss said the Red Pill Expo in Hartford was most uplifting and encouraging. Richard Gage received a tremendous response and two standing ovations.
Cheryl noted that the July 31 teleconference speakers will be Christopher Bollyn, Adam Ruff, and Karl Golovin.
Call began at 8 p.m. EST and adjourned at 10:55 p.m. EST/5 p.m. to 7:55 p.m. PST. Audio of the June call can be heard here: http://truthandshadows.com/wp-content/u ... 062619.mp3. The next monthly teleconference will take place on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 8 p.m. EST, 5 p.m. PST. Agenda items should be emailed to facilitator Cheryl Curtiss (chercurt@aol.com) no later than one week before the call. Please use subject line “Agenda item for 911 Truth Teleconference.” Please include a brief description of your item and any relevant links you’d like participants to be aware of, together with your estimate of the number of minutes your agenda item will require. If you would like to join the teleconference list serve, contact Craig McKee (craigmckee911@gmail.com), and anyone who would like information such as links included in the minutes should email Ann Hendricks (hendricks_ann@yahoo.com).

Author of New FBI Book Argues J. Edgar Hoover Was Not the Father of the Bureau

By Steve Neavling

ticklethewire.com
A new book, “The Birth of the FBI: Teddy Roosevelt, the Secret Services, and the Fight Over America’s Law Enforcement Agency,” argues the FBI was not created by its first director, J. Edgar Hoover, as many people claim.
The origin of the FBI is traced back to 1908, when President Theodore Roosevelt created the Special Agent Force under the Justice Department. Later that year, the agency was renamed the Bureau of investigation.
By 1935, when the FBI was created, Hoover was the third director of the Bureau of Investigation.
Author Willard M. Oliver, a professor for the College of Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State, argues Roosevelt should be credited with creating the FBI because of the agencies that preceded it.

Who Will Save Us?

Submitted by robert.shetterly on 23 July 2019 - 09:12am
Note: Today's blog entry is the text of Robert Shetterly's opening address at the Climate Convergence Conference in Blue Hill, Maine on July 20, 2019.

I begin with Gauguin’s great painting which asks the questions: Where do we come from? Who are we? Where are we going?
Dinosaurs lived 200 million years on this planet, and my guess is that they never felt the need - much less had the ability - to ask such questions. And we can be pretty sure they never questioned Nature’s laws. What finally killed them was not arrogance or failure to evolve - they were very good at that - but an enormous asteroid. We humans have existed in our present incarnation for only 100,000 years. We are clever enough, conscious enough and curious enough to ask those mysterious questions. Clever enough, too, to shape shift ourselves into our own asteroid. Previously those questions - Who are we? Where are we going? - were  philosophical musings. Now survival demands their answering.

Greetings all,

As always, the weeks leading up to the 9/11 anniversary are very active ones for the Truth Movement. And on our August call, we’ll hear from AE911Truth founder Richard Gage about some of the exciting initiatives that his organization is involved in. Richard can only be with us until 8:30 EST so we’ll be starting his presentation promptly at 8. If you don’t want to miss anything, make sure to join the call on time!

At the top of Richard's list of AE projects is the imminent release of the Building 7 Study by Dr. Leroy Hulsey of the University of Alaska Fairbanks. This ground-breaking report is being unveiled at events in Fairbanks and Berkeley, California in September. Richard will also be heading to Washington, D.C., and New York City for anniversary events that he’ll tell us all about.

Our second speaker is David Hooper, the creator of the 2014 documentary The Anatomy of a Great Deception. David will tell us about his progress making the sequel, The Anatomy of a Great Deception Part Two, which is now expected to be released in 2020. In the earlier film, David took a look at the World Trade Center evidence while giving viewers an idea of his personal journey as he came to challenge the official story.

And third, we have teleconference regular participant David Rolde, who announced last month that he plans to run for the Green Party’s presidential nomination. David is an activist who, since 2001, has been involved in many anti-war, anti-imperialist and anti-Zionist/pro-Palestine struggles, organizations and coalitions. Since joining the Green Party in 2003, he has been active in the leadership of his state Green Party and is Secretary of the Greater Boston Chapter of the Green-Rainbow Party. In his presentation, David will tell us more about his plans to run for president. Good luck, David!

We hope you’ll all join us this Wednesday! And don’t forget to call in on time so you can hear Richard Gage’s entire presentation!

Producer David Hooper said the sequel to AGD is “a continuation of the research story and the personal drama of how people around us react and the effects of your world being turned upside down.  9/11 will be the anchor point but we will connect other things in history, based on factual research with, hopefully, a compelling story.  It will be a docu-thriller, a Hollywood type movie with premieres, fanfare and trailers.”

He spoke of opportunities for the 9/11 truth community to become involved with its release and promotion, and these ideas are listed at https://www.agdmovie.com/

Green Party presidential candidate
David Rolde announced his candidacy for the Green Party nomination for U.S. President.  “I am an anti imperialist… and an anti-colonialist.”  David said the country should be turned over to the indigenous peoples, the oppressed.  “The Green Party candidate is a protest candidate.” David is calling for the U.S. military and the weapons industry to be eliminated.  “The world can’t survive many more years of the U.S. military wreaking social and environmental destruction.”  More information about David’s activism, campaign and platform can be found here: https://m.facebook.com/GreenPrez/

September 11 anniversary events
Richard Gage said that AE is sending the Hulsey Report to the top engineering schools in the United States and in Europe. “We’re getting it out to the world and we’re asking you to do the same. Send it to every structural engineer, physicist, mathematician, media folks and elected officials you know.” Christopher Gioia, who joined the AE delegation visiting congressional offices on the anniversary, is starting a 9/11 Justice For Heroes campaign and is also seeking to get all the fire districts on board with the Franklin Square and Munson Fire District resolution calling for a new investigation of 9/11. In response to a question about how one can best provide information to our local fire departments, Richard suggested the best link to provide them is a 15-minute video with Ed Asner called Solving the Mystery of Building 7.  https://www.ae911truth.org/evidence/vid ... building-7

Barack Obama
Joanne Tachera of Hawaii has been researching Barack Obama since he came to the national stage. Her family was familiar with his relatives in Honolulu and she recalled him in his youth. She discussed his father, his grandparents’ CIA connections, and the birth certificate issue. She said that some research addresses his appointments of thousands of senior executive service personnel who are still in those jobs under the Trump administration and who possibly still hold allegiance to Obama. Joanne’s many sources include the books Barack Obama and the Enemies Within, Obama: The Postmodern Coup – Making of a Manchurian Candidate, and The Manchurian President: Barack Obama’s Ties to Communists, Socialists and Other Anti-American Extremists.

David Icke’s book release
Cat McGuire reviewed David Icke’s The Trigger: The Lie That Changed the World, about 9/11 events and perpetrators. She said the 900-page blockbuster has an extensive bibliography and index but is neither footnoted nor sourced properly, and this lack might reduce its level of credibility with scholars and professionals. Cat noted that much of the information Icke presented was already available online. “I wish that somebody would go and interview some of these people (witnesses). There’s a lot of interviewing opportunities and he didn’t do that…but who did? There is a paucity of actual boots on the ground research in the 9/11 movement.” She recommended Icke’s interviews on London Real https://londonreal.tv/e/david-icke-9-11 ... nd-why/and on Know More News with Adam Green:  https://youtu.be/IV8XA_TBu0s

Announcements and reports of 9/11 anniversary events
Barbara Honegger said that the Zurich event was a magnificent success with a great turnout.  Videos of the presentations can be accessed at:  https://www.11september.eu/911perspectives/
Xander Arena spoke about the great response to Dr. Hulsey’s report, his own outreach to Arizona elected officials, and his recent letter to Attorney General Barr asking him to open an investigation of 9/11 crimes.
Lynn Bradbury told of the positive reactions to her 9/11 stand at the Maine Common Ground Fair at which she has participated for six years. “My application stresses that the sustainability of democracy is dependent upon a free press so citizens can know what their government is up to.” Lynn was awarded a  Blue Ribbon by fair organizers for “Most Educational Booth.”

“It’s PredPol, and it’s going to reduce crime”: Agencies take algorithmic effectiveness on faith, with few checks in place
Out of over 50 agencies surveyed, none indicated they had examined effectiveness of “data-driven” approach
Written by Beryl Lipton
Edited by Michael Morisy
Predictive policing software is being used by law enforcement agencies nationwide, yet a review suggests that almost none of its users, past or present, have clear ways to measure the effectiveness or accuracy of the tool, a lack of oversight many researchers consider irresponsible.
“I remember the only heads up I really got about PredPol was from my chief coming to our briefing and telling us, ‘We have this great new tool. We’re going to support it. It’s PredPol, and it’s going to reduce crime,’” said Captain Brian Bubar of the San Pablo Police Department, whose 2.4 square-mile California town has fewer than 40,000 people.
Bubar was a San Pablo patrol officer when the department acquired the program in 2013; the department’s subscription ended on July 31, 2015. PredPol, one of the first predictive systems, was created by Los Angeles Police Department and University of California, Los Angeles, and it has been used in dozens of departments now, employing law enforcement data from the previous days and months to generate recommended areas for patrolling.
MuckRock has submitted requests to more than 50 agencies known to have used the technology, asking for information on their predictive policing training and use. Of those that have responded, a few have been able to send their contracts, input data, scientific papers written by PredPol’s makers, annual mayoral presentations, and even some training materials, but none have been able to provide validation studies.
“I was never able to explain how it was identifying these boxes, how it was telling us to get to these points, which I think was a huge component [of its failure], because it did not give an opportunity to give the system validity to the officers,” said Bubar. “And that could happen in a department our size. At the time, we didn’t have a dedicated IT infrastructure. We didn’t have a committee to learn how to incorporate our training staff, incorporate the sergeants, to educate them on these new systems, who were able to get the buy-in from the staff to give it a chance. It was just kind of delivered in our laps, and we were told to use it.”
Though it is sold as “crime prediction” and officer allocation tools for under-resourced agencies, one of the reasons predictive policing tools are so controversial is the contention that they are built on and reinforce racial bias. Using data generated by unfair or questionable policing strategies to train a computer system can simply result in automation of that bias.
“You have to understand that every bias that goes into an instrument’s development is going to be manifest in the tool’s ability. It’s a great concept, but it doesn’t recognize that human behavior is negatively impacted when we use algorithms to predict it. You look at the research: blacks are twice as likely as whites to be targeted for certain behaviors when those behaviors are evenly distributed,” said Howard Henderson, founding director of the Center for Justice Research at Texas Southern University. “You can’t adopt an instrument without validating. That’s unacceptable.”
A report from the AI Now Institute found that some police departments cited by the Department of Justice for unfair policing practices use data from those eras to inform predictive policing systems.
“These tools are not sufficiently well-tested. They’re biased premises that, in some cases, are faulty. They’re based on a process of learning that I think are misapplied. And in the case of person-based predictive policing, they’re based on assumptions and structures that we’ve already seen have huge numbers of problems. I don’t see any reason to keep using them until we know, what is it exactly that they’re trying to do,” said Suresh Venkatasubramanian, professor at the University of Utah.
Many academics argue that, as they’re currently built and used, predictive policing systems shouldn’t be employed by police at all. In early October, more than 400 academics signed onto a letter to the LAPD Commission challenging claims that scholarship supports use of the tool.
“We keep telling ourselves, ‘We’re not stupid. We know correlation does not equal causation.’ But we’re going to use it anyway,” Venkatasubramanian said. “Why are you going to use it anyway?”
In addition to the concerns around encoding biased policies into police equipment, local validation and accuracy checks are important for seeing whether a system can realistically help an agency. Multiple police departments have said they stopped using PredPol because it simply did not work for them, suggesting areas they already knew to be problematic or not offering suggestions that could work with the existing demand created by daily urgent needs for service.
“It became almost offensive to patrol officers when the city commits funding to a new analytical tool that’s supposed to reduce crime. We need to be out in high visibility,” Bubar explained. “These were things that we were already identifying.”
Changes to standard procedure
LAPD, one of the longest users of PredPol, announced only last month that it would begin measuring the effectiveness of its data-driven policing techniques—nearly eight years after it started using them. An April report from the LAPD’s Inspector General found the department needs a lot of improvement around how it captures data and evaluates the fairness of the tool’s application. At a meeting in mid-October of the Los Angeles Police Commission, representatives from the LAPD acknowledged the shortcomings.

FBI Study on ‘Lone Offender Terrorism’ Reveals Common Traits Among Attackers

Terrorism exercise in Portland. Photo via FBI.
By Steve Neavling

ticklethewire.com
A new FBI study examining “lone offender terrorism” found common traits that could help identify future attackers.
Of the 52 examined cases between 1972 and 2015, 83% were carried out by people who had previously exhibited hostility or aggression, according to the 81-page report. In all of the cases, people around the attackers expressed concern over their behavior.
In 96% of the cases, the offender produced a video, blog or letter that was intended to be viewed by others.
“Absent this report and others like it, someone could see something and they’re solely relying on their gut feeling or spider sense to say, ‘That doesn’t look right,’ or ‘That’s concerning,’” Special Agent John Wyman, chief of the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU)’s Behavioral Threat Assessment Center, which conducted the research, said. “I think by putting this information out there, it helps people get over that barrier. It gives you something to fall back on to validate whatever your gut feeling was.”
The study found that half of the cases were motivated by anti-governme

Tainting Evidence -
Inside the Scandals of the FBI Crime Lab
By John F. Kelly & Phillip K. Wearne
The Free Press -ISBN 0684846462
Nominated for a Pulitzer Prize
Review by Robert S. Ortloff, POW and victim of FBI Crime Lab Misconduct

Because of America's near-religious faith in science, the FBI created for itself a reputation based mostly on its laboratory's legendary ability to solve crimes through science and technology. During the past couple of years, however, the FBI's standing as the world leader in the scientific analysis of evidence has been exposed as the well-designed ruse it was.
Tainting Evidence, a powerful new book by John F. Kelly & Phillip K. Wearne, exposes the FBI's forensic fantasies as a scientific charade which hid a disturbing culture of prosecution bias rather than truth seeking, including the illegal withholding of exculpatory information. FBI experts often give scientifically flawed, inaccurate and overstated testimony under oath, they alter laboratory reports to give them a prosecution slant, and they fail miserably to document tests and examinations from which they draw incriminating conclusions. The documented failures of the lab, which include such high-profile, cases such as the World Trade Center bombing, the siege at Ruby Ridge, and the Vanrac bombings, the authors argue, are not isolated simply isolated events, but rather overwhelming evidence of systematic bureaucratic rot.
And this bodes ill for our country. The FBI continues to expand its reach beyond its original mandate of investigating federal crimes, and is eagerly pushing to broaden even further the role of the FBI crime laboratory in the processing of evidence for state and county investigators and prosecutors throughout the United States. With the FBI lab doing sloppy, biased and scientifically unsound forensic work, our society suffers, individuals are falsely convicted, and every American's fundamental protections to due process are further weakened.
Examining how well or poorly a powerful and secretive agency like the FBI performs its work in one of the most difficult and important tasks that any reporter can take head-on. With Tainting Evidence, Kelly and Wearne have met this challenge, exposing the FBI's practice of denial and cover-ups and successfully documenting a shocking condition within our system that should outrage every American concer

In the Know: FBI Admits Flaws in Hair Microscopy Testimony
May 6, 2016 Jaclyn Gioiosa
In response to the FBI’s admission of errors, NCIP to review California cases.
By Todd Fries
In April 2015, the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) stunned the criminal justice community by acknowledging that in the two-decade period before 2000, nearly every examiner in the FBI’s microscopic hair comparison unit gave flawed testimony in criminal cases.

Source: Equal Justice Initiative
Microscopic hair comparison analysis, or hair microscopy as it is commonly called, became a major source of controversy following a trio of DNA exonerations in Washington DC from 2009-2012. All three defendants were convicted based on FBI hair microscopy evidence that DNA testing later proved wrong.  It turned out that hair microscopy, a so-called forensic science the FBI had used in approximately 21,000 cases, is not really science at all.
In cases involving hair microscopy, hair evidence recovered from a crime scene is examined through a microscope. If the hair in evidence shares enough similar characteristics with a known hair sample (i.e. hair from the suspect or defendant), the hairs are deemed a “match.”
Scientists have criticized this discipline and noted its unreliability based on th

INNOCENCE: Criminal Convictions in Question after FBI Bullet Evidence Discredited

Posted on Nov 20, 2007
* ARBITRARINESS INNOCENCE
An investigation by The Washington Post and 60 Minutes has cast doubt on at least 250 criminal cases in which the defendant was convicted based on FBI bullet-lead test evidence. Since the early 1960s, the FBI has used a technique called comparative bullet-lead analysis on an estimated 2,500 cases, many of which were homicide cases prosecuted at state and local levels. Comparative bullet-lead analysis, based on the assumption that all bullets in one batch will be chemically similar, examines the chemical compositions of bullets to determine if crime-scene bullets match bullets in a suspect’s possession. FBI labs have since concluded that all bullets in a single batch are not always chemically matched “because subtle chemical changes occurred throughout the manufacturing process.”

FBI concerns over comparative bullet-lead analysis were first documented in 1991, and a study by two former FBI lab technicians challenging the technique was completed in 2001. In 2004, the

Draft agenda for December 4, 2019

You will then be required to key in the original phone number above before entering the access code. Please inform of us of any technical difficulties you encounter in accessing the teleconference.]

*Important note: Teleconference
this Wednesday night!
It was agreed on the last teleconference that we would have one call for November and December. That will be this coming Wednesday night, December 4, at the usual time (8 p.m. EST). There will not be a call on the last Wednesday of December. In January, we’ll get back to the regular schedule with a call on the 29th.

Greetings all,

Our last call of the year will feature some interesting guests and an important update.

Our first speaker will be giving his second talk to the teleconference. Jack Rasmus will discuss his new book, The Scourge of Neoliberalism: US Economic Policy From Reagan to Trump. The book examines neoliberalism as both an Idea and a historical practice composed of a particular mix of fiscal-monetary-trade-industrial policies that began with the latest U.S. capitalist restructuring in the late 1970s.

Rasmus, who teaches economics at St. Mary’s College in California, has written a number of books, including Alexander Hamilton & The Origins of the Fed, and Central Bankers at the End of Their Ropes: Monetary Policy and the Coming Depression. Jack’s website is www.kyklosproductions.com where his published articles, radio and TV interviews, plays, and book reviews are available for download.

And because our second speaker can’t be with us until 9:30, we’ll follow Jack with an open discussion period (tell us what’s on your mind!) and then announcements.

At 9:30, we’ll have Mick Harrison of the Lawyers’ Committee for 9/11 Inquiry who will bring us up to date on what is happening with the committee, including the grand jury petition. He’ll also tell participants how they can help with the committee’s efforts.

Mick Harrison is a public interest attorney, who graduated from the University of the District of Columbia School of law. He has a national practice focused on cases that involve whistleblower protection, government accountability, corporate fraud and false claims, and dangers to public health or the environment.

It should be very interesting. We hope you join us!

Cheryl Curtiss
Craig McKee

Jeffrey Epstein and 9/11
Christopher Bollyn presented on Jeffrey Epstein’s connections to Leslie Wexner, Ehud Barak, and Michael Chertoff and about the dissolution of the Iraqi and Syrian states and their military power. He also spoke about the lack of political will to investigate the 9/11 crimes. “We see that the Department of Justice is completely controlled and unable to do an investigation of the government, of itself, or of the crime that changed America. The media, the universities, and the churches have not investigated 9/11. All the institutions that we believe in in our democratic society, somehow being responsible for standing for the truth, have failed us.” Christopher’s new book, Solving 9-11 The Original Articles Vol. ll is available at www.bollyn.com. His recent articles are: The Turkish Invasion of Kurdish-Occupied Syria (https://www.bollyn.com/#article_16281) and The Epstein Connection to 9/11 (https://www.bollyn.com/#article_16267).

Franklin Square and Munson resolution moving ahead
Christopher Gioia told of plans to get other fire departments in New York behind the Franklin Square and Munson Fire Department Resolution, and behind the Grand Jury investigation. He and his fellow commissioners are taking their initiative across the country and seeking the support of every fire department or district to support the Grand Jury Petition.
“What happened on 9/11 was evil incarnate; it was just tremendous evil that was perpetrated on our country and on our people… That is something we have to fight. I’m not going to stop until justice is done for the people who were murdered.” Christopher said it is critical to keep the pressure and the spotlight on the court to act. He urged everyone to contact U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman and inquire about the status of the Grand Jury investigation. AE update on Hulsey Report reception

Richard Gage said AE has sent the Hulsey Report to 45 universities and 50 organizations and that some recipients have requested presentations. AE has given over a dozen talks to engineering groups who responded with overwhelmingly positive support for a new investigation. In response to a suggestion to inform 9/11-associated insurance companies about the report, Richard mentioned that anyone can download it from the AE website and email it to insurance investigators. He also spoke about the Hulsey Report documentary, now in production by Dylan Avery, and an interview about this can be heard here: https://www.ae911truth.org/news/626-dyl ... ocumentary

A history of neoliberalism

Jack Rasmus provided a preview of his new book The Scourge of Neoliberalism: Economic Policy from Reagan to Trump. “The practice of neoliberalism includes fiscal, monetary, industrial and external policies. My book is an analysis of how these four policy areas interact with each other.” Jack said that President Trump has “made a deal with the Democrats to allow more social program spending in exchange for them agreeing to increased war spending.” He also spoke about the trade war with China. “Behind the US-China trade war is a tech war, and the neocons and the anti-China lobby running the trade policy, with the support of the Pentagon, want to stop China’s development of next-generation technology… artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and 5G wireless, because these are the military technologies of the future.” Jack’s website is www.jackrasmus.com

Lawyers’ Committee for 9/11 Inquiry activities

David Meiswinkle summarized the progress achieved by the Lawyers’ Committee, including the Petition for a Grand Jury investigation, its reception by the U.S. Attorney, the seven-count lawsuit against the FBI, and the mandamus lawsuits against U.S. Attorney General Barr and U.S. Attorney Berman. He spoke of the many areas remaining – Shanksville, the Pentagon, obstruction and misconduct of government, that grand juries should investigate. “It’s all possible, but it’s going to take a lot of time, courage, energy and expertise. Some people think that if we can open 9/11 up, we can solve a lot of problems quickly.” Next, Mick Harrison spoke of the FBI lawsuit, and the Government’s motion to dismiss. “The Government argued that the law requiring the FBI to report this was not enforceable by citizens, and we briefed that, taking the opposite view.” Barbara Honegger urged everyone to read all the LC filings posted on its website. “Then you will understand how powerful and detailed and supported they are.” She also told about the holiday fundraising drive. “Any amount of donation would really be appreciated. We really need your help, and, please get this message out to everyone.”

Announcements

Cheryl Curtiss said the next teleconference will be January 29.

Craig McKee spoke about the passing of Lt. Col. Shelton Lankford, an important and dedicated truthers. Craig’s article is posted here: https://truthandshadows.com/2019/12/08/ ... #more-6835

Barbara Honegger talked about the JFK Assassination Annual Conference in Dallas where she was asked to speak twice. Her topic is the link between the JFK assassination and 9/11. She will again be presenting at the April conference in Kansas City. https://www.jfkhistorical.com/2019-event

Dear troublemaker,

With the first round of US extradition proceedings for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange wrapping up last month in London, this is just a reminder that Defending Rights & Dissent will be hosting a FREE webinar tomorrow on what happened in London and why it matters. I'll be moderating a conversation with legendary whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg and Shadowproof's Kevin Gosztola, who was in London during the proceedings.

The Extradition of Julian Assange & the Future of Global Press Freedom

Wednesday March 11, 2020
8:30 PM (EST)/5:30 PM (PST)

***REGISTRATION IS FREE***

REGISTER
Ellsberg leaked the Pentagon Papers to the media, revealing decades of US government deceit about its war in Vietnam, at great personal risk. For exposing government duplicity, he faced an indictment under the Espionage Act. He has continued to be an advocate for transparency and the rights of whistleblowers.

Gosztola is the Managing Editor of Shadowproof. He is one of the few US-based reporters to cover Assange’s extradition proceedings in London. He has long been reporting from the frontline of the War on Whistleblowers, including Chelsea Manning’s court martial and Reality Winner’s sentencing hearing.

We know that too often when war crimes, abuses of power, and other government misconduct is uncovered it is the truthteller who must stand trial.

The unprecedented act by the US government of charging a publisher of information under the Espionage Act is a dramatic assault on press freedom. Please join us for this important webinar on The Extradition of Julian Assange and the Future of Global Press Freedom.

Subject: California Public Records Act Request: Police Misconduct Records (SB 1421 / Becerra v Superior Court) - Immediate Disclosure Request - SF Police Commission
Email
Police Commission:
NOTE: THE EMAIL ADDRESS SENDING THIS REQUEST IS A PUBLICLY-VIEWABLE MAILBOX. Please be certain you have properly redacted all of your responses. Once you send them to us, there is no going back. All of your responses (including all responsive records) may be instantly and automatically available to the public online via the MuckRock.com FOIA service used to issue this request (though the requester is an anonymous user, not a representative of MuckRock). Nothing herein is legal, IT, or professional advice of any kind. The author disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to all warranties of merchantability or fitness. In no event shall the author be liable for any special, direct, indirect, consequential, or any other damages whatsoever. The digital signature, if any, in this email is not an indication of a binding agreement or offer; it merely authenticates the sender. Please do not include any confidential information, as I intend that these communications with the City all be disclosable public records.
Below are new Immediate Disclosure Requests (SF Admin Code 67.25(a)) directed to your agency.
Your initial response is required by Feb 25, 2020. Rolling records responses are requested (SFAC 67.25(d)) if you are unable to immediately produce records.
Exact copies of every responsive record are requested (Gov Code 6253(b)) - do not: provide mere URLs, print and scan electronic records, convert native files to PDFs, or provide black and white versions of any color record. Provide only copies of records not requiring fees and in-person inspection of all other records (GC 6253).
Your non-exhaustive obligations:
- All withholding of any information must be justified in writing by specific statutory authority (SFAC 67.27).
- All withholdings by masking or deletion (aka redactions) must be keyed by footnote or other clear reference to the specific justification for that redaction, and only the minimal exempt portion of any record may be withheld (SFAC 67.26).
- You must respond to emailed requests (SFAC 67.21(b)).
- You must notify us of whether or not responsive records exist and/or were withheld for each below request (Gov Code 6253(c), 6255(b)).
- You must state the name and title of each person responsible for withholding any information (Gov Code 6253(d)).
- Do not impose any end-user restrictions upon me (Santa Clara Co. vs Superior Ct, 170 Cal.App 4th 1301); so if you use a third-party website to publish records, please make them completely public without any login or sign-in or Terms of Service.
Your agency must do all of the above things in your response, and you cannot wait until we file complaints.
****** We have no duty to, and we will not again, remind the City of its obligations. Instead, we will file complaints for every Sunshine Ordinance or CPRA violation. We will continue to file complaints until the City's procedures are modified to fully comply with the Sunshine Ordinance and CPRA, without caveat or exception. ******
In simple terms, I want all SB 1421 records you have retained, and I want a quantity/existence/form statement, even if you believe their contents are exempt. Just like the AG in Becerra v Superior Court, if you retained any police misconduct records you must release your own copies, regardless of what SFPD/DPA do. But here's the full request:
1. Pursuant to Becerra v Superior Court (First Amendment Coalition, 2020), provide all records (where "record(s)" is defined specifically by Penal Code 832.7(b)(2), and REGARDLESS of whether they are prepared by or for your agency or its employees) of all incidents involving the discharge of a firearm at a person by a peace officer or custodial officer; all incidents in which the use of force by a peace officer or custodial officer against a person resulted in death, or in great bodily injury; all records relating to an incident in which a sustained finding was made by any law enforcement agency or oversight agency that a peace officer or custodial officer engaged in sexual assault involving a member of the public; all records relating to an incident in which a sustained finding was made by any law enforcement agency or oversight agency of dishonesty by a peace officer or custodial officer directly relating to the reporting, investigation, or prosecution of a crime, or directly relating to the reporting of, or investigation of misconduct by, another peace officer or custodial officer, including, but not limited to, any sustained finding of perjury, false statements, filing false reports, destruction, falsifying, or concealing of evidence. Note: The potential exception that the State AG may have under Gov Code 6255 / public-interest balancing test, which the Court of Appeal found may apply if Becerra had asked for it, DOES NOT APPLY TO YOUR OFFICE, pursuant to SFAC 67.24(g and i).
2. Please also provide an SFAC 67.21(c) written statement of the existence or quantity of these records in #1 (even if you believe their contents to be exempt) within 7 days (no extensions)
Do not destroy or discard any responsive records - we will appeal all withholdings or Sunshine violations.
FYI - If you haven't read Becerra v Superior Court, the Court of Appeals held: "We conclude, as a matter of statutory interpretation, that section 832.7 generally requires disclosure of all responsive records in the possession of the Department, regardless whether the records pertain to officers employed by the Department or by another public agency and regardless whether the Department or another public agency created the records. Although we also determine, as a matter of statutory interpretation, that the so-called “catchall exemption” of the CPRA, codified at Government Code section 6255, may apply to records that are subject to disclosure under section 832.7, our independent review leads us to conclude the Department did not adequately demonstrate that the public interest served by nondisclosure of the records at issue clearly outweighs the public interest in their disclosure. "
However, no San Francisco agency or official can use the catchall exemption/6255 due to SF Admin Code 67.24(g and i).
Thank you for your anticipated cooperation in this matter.
Sincerely,
Anonymous

How a Police State Will Deal With the COVID-19 Pandemic
by JOHN W. WHITEHEAD
“Fear is a primitive impulse, brainless as hunger, and because the aim of horror fiction is the production of the deepest kinds of fears, the genre tends to reinforce some remarkably uncivilized ideas about self-protection. In the current crop of zombie stories, the prevailing value for the beleaguered survivors is a sort of siege mentality, a vigilance so constant and unremitting that it’s indistinguishable from the purest paranoia.”

More than Just a Virus
By Renee Parsons
Global Research, March 16, 2020

If we have learned anything since 1963, it is to question everything that Big Government, Big Media and Big Money tell us as there is always more than the ‘official’ story. With too many unknowns still to be answered, there is no doubt that a bio-critter of uncertain nefarious origins, perhaps electro magnetic 5G oriented, is loose within Earth’s atmosphere.
As we are all collectively, as One Universe, experiencing the potential of a coronavirus infection, we have been assured that the outbreak originated in a fish market in Wuhan, China’s eighth largest city with a population of 11 million.  That is the largely unchallenged conclusion since China is well known for its extensive network of high tech labs and since the SARS virus began in China last year.
At first glance, it seems a passing curiosity that the next two most extensively affected countries with corona infections, each disparate from China and each other, have extensive trade relations with China.  In defiance of science, why would Italy be the most infected country outside of China?
Italy was the only G7 country to sign on to the Belt and Road initiative with Sister-City Agreements throughout Italy.  Some of those sister cities have been the hardest hit by corona.  Iran has also suffered with increased infections as government officials have been especially affected, as if they were specifically targeted.  Iran has had a comprehensive strategic partnership with China since 2016 and in defiance of US sanctions, Iran has continued to import embargoed products from China while selling its oil to China.
The question arises why, out of 175 countries in the world, that those two countries, in particular, have specifically experienced the strongest coronavirus presence than any other. It can be expected that the ‘coincidence’ has not escaped the notice of the Chinese, Iranian or Italian governments.
With the complexity and uncertainty of the coronavirus. it would not be the first crisis where TPTB have misled a trusting public. It would, however, be wise to treat the virus with respect as a potent pathogen of consequence.  In case you had not noticed prior to the corona, there has been a titanic struggle for global dominance underway with the US, Israel, Russia and China as its sovereign representatives.  The most current manifestation of that struggle, through happenstance or not, being the coronavirus outbreak.
While there are references to the virus spreading considerably through increased exposure, getting worse before it gets better, it is another curiosity that there is no optimism as the US flu season  (December – February), peaks and  winds down in March.  So why the panic? If the coronavirus is a ‘normal’ virus, it should already be peaking just as it is in China and South Korea. If it is not a ‘normal’ virus, if it is mutated to reappear in the future or if it is man made or a bio-weapon, then we have a different problem.  All of which begs the que

An important proposal that ameliorates our lack of protective equipment and spares patients and healthcare workers

There is a huge disconnect between the personal protective equipment healthcare workers (HCWs) should be wearing to protect themselves from coronavirus, and what actually exists right now for them to use.  While they deserve congratulations for their bravery and commitment, having them work under these conditions is shortsighted.  Given the fantastic propensity of the virus to spread, healthcare workers will be infected disproportionately, as in Hubei and Lombardy.  Some suggest they may get more severe disease.  But worst of all, HCWs may become asymptomatic spreaders, spreading infection to patients who are in their healthcare facility for other reasons

This situation should not be tolerated by the doctors and nurses, who know better, nor by their non-COVID patients, nor by their administrators and government.

There is only one solution:  keeping patients with COVID-19 in facilities that treat only COVID-19.  And treating other patients in separate facilities.  This requires government to take control of a very messy situation:  hospitals and clinics are about to become, if they are not already, the locations that put their patients at highest risk. Hospitals will not suddenly create separate COVID facilities by themselves.  Government needs to step in to make this happen.

Creating designated COVID-19 facilities would allow healthcare workers to put on a complete set of protective garments: masks, goggles, face shields and head to toe gowns and shoe covers, at the beginning of their shift.  They would then not change out of the garments between patients, since all the patients are already infected.  It would save tremendous amounts of equipment and time, since HCWs would not have to change up their gowns, gloves, etc. between each patient, and would have enough to work in safety.

How do you identify the COVID patients, when PCR tests have again slowed due to lack of reagents and swabs?

In Italy and China, ultrasound exams of the lungs, or partial CT scans, have been used to differentiate the specific lung pattern caused by this coronavirus (a ground glass appearance, especially in the lung periphery) from other infections.  This can be done much more quickly, at the point of contact, particularly with portable ultrasound machines.

Hopefully new rapid tests will also be available soon to aid in immediate diagnosis.

Patients would be triaged and separated into those who
1.  definitely have COVID based on their history, symptoms and a scan
2.  definitely have a different disorder, or
3.  maybe have COVID.
These 'maybe' patients must be situated in separate rooms to avoid cross-contamination, and would require HCWs to change their gowns, masks, etc. between patients.
By so doing, we keep HCWs and patients safe, and sensibly use the precious resource of limited personal protective equipment.

Desperate for Covid-19 answers, U.S. doctors turn to colleagues in China/ Stat

From STAT, a report of an online meeting between Johns Hopkins infectious disease doctors and doctors from Zhejiang, one of China's top medical schools, who had responded to the COVID-19 epidemic:

...We want to work together with you to help fight Covid-19, Wang told the Americans as the hourlong meeting began. Their first question: If you were in our position, at the very beginning of the outbreak, what are the most important things to know?

The Zhejiang contingent took over one makeshift ICU in Wuhan on Feb. 14, plus one ward for Covid-19 patients in an existing hospital. They had 72 ICU patients, 55% older than 65, yet only nine of the ICU patients died; 17% required intubation in order to breathe, a procedure that risks making virus particles not only airborne but also aerosolized — meaning they can remain suspended in the air for some time.

The Hopkins doctors were keen to hear how their counterparts cured 35 intensive-care patients completely and brought the status of another 28 to only mild disease. With no surefire Covid-19 therapy and a blizzard of conflicting information on what existing drugs might work, Antar said, “one of our main questions was about their experience with off-label use” — repurposing existing drugs approved for other illnesses to use in the fight against Covid-19.

That experience has involved everything but the kitchen sink, though informed as much as possible by science. Several antivirals, including the HIV drugs lopinavir and ritonavir, did not accelerate recovery or reduce mortality, ICU physician Xiao Lu said. Some immune system regulators — including alpha interferon, anti-IL-6 monoclonal antibodies such as tocilizumab, and immunoglobulin — showed hints of efficacy in some critical cases.

Some patients received the malaria drug chloroquine, which President Trump has touted and which is being tested in a World Health Organization-supported clinical trial, but the Zhejiang team did not have rigorous data on its effects. They tried tocilizumab, too, a drug that has enough potential that on Monday, Genentech announced that it had received U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval for a clinical trial in Covid-19 patients with severe pneumonia; the rheumatoid arthritis drug, which goes by the brand name Actemra, might quell the out-of-control immune reaction that has killed many Covid-19 patients.
“All of us want to practice evidence-based medicine,” Antar said. “But the timeline for this might not allow us to wait for that.”

The right equipment helped. The Zhejiang team brought oxygen supply systems, monitors, ultrasounds, ventilators, and protective equipment from Hangzhou.

Who should be hospitalized, the Hopkins physicians asked? Suspected cases can be isolated and observed in their homes, they were told, as doctors in overwhelmed Italy are also telling U.S. doctors. Mild and moderate cases can be treated in mobile units, away from other patients; coronavirus spread within hospitals has been disastrous in Italy. Severe and critical cases in China get hospitalized, but at a dedicated facility, to reduce spread from Covid-19 patient to hospital worker to non-Covid-19 patient.

How do we know when a patient can be discharged, Antar and her colleagues asked? After a normal body temperature lasting three days, minimal respiratory symptoms, two negative tests for the virus more than 24 hours apart, improvements seen in lung imaging, and no serious underlying conditions, especially for older patients.
The Hopkins teams was impressed with China’s scrupulous measures to minimize viral transmission, “especially among health care workers,” Auwaerter said. “Such measures have successfully slowed the epidemic in China.” In contrast, failing to do so has fueled the disastrous spread of Covid-19 in Italy, physicians at a hospital in the country’s hard-hit north warned over the weekend.

What other drugs might be useful?

FiercePharma on other drugs being considered for Covid-19:
Other than remdesivir and chloroquine, researchers and physicians are also looking at other existing drugs to treat COVID-19. These include AbbVie’s HIV combo therapy Kaletra (Aluvia), which just failed a clinical study in China in critically ill patients. Chinese authorities, which have been dealing with the virus longer, are also recommending an influenza med called Arbidol (umifenovir) that’s not approved in Western countries, old antiviral ribavirin and interferon-alpha. And Fujifilm’s flu drug Avigan (favipiravir) has also shown promise in the clinic, according to Chinese officials.
Roche is testing its arthritis drug Actemra’s ability to rein in the potentially deadly inflammatory response called cytokine storm observed in severe COVID-19 patients, just as Sanofi and Regeneron are running clinical trials of their rival IL-6 inhibitor Kevzara in the same setting.  See more about this drug here.

Single-cell transcriptomics reveals expansion of cytotoxic CD4 T cells in supercentenarians

Significance
Exceptionally long-lived people such as supercentenarians tend to spend their entire lives in good health, implying that their immune system remains active to protect against infections and tumors. However, their immunological condition has been largely unexplored. We profiled thousands of circulating immune cells from supercentenarians at single-cell resolution and identified CD4 T cells that have cytotoxic features. This characteristic is very unique to supercentenarians, because generally CD4 T cells have helper, but not cytotoxic, functions under physiological conditions. We further profiled their T cell receptors and revealed that the cytotoxic CD4 T cells were accumulated through clonal expansion. The conversion of helper CD4 T cells to a cytotoxic variety might be an adaptation to the late stage of aging.

Since this thread already has my name on it (although I haven't been here for months), I'll use this thread for a contribution.

Yesterday was my birthday, and we planned a special visit to Adam-ondi-Ahman.
Below is a brief recounting of the event, sent out to my family and shared with you now.

Dear family,
Yesterday, your Mom and I went with Becky and family to Adam-ondi-Ahman.  The gates were open.  It was a lovely early-spring day, about 60 degrees F and very pleasant at AoA.  We had a nice long walk.

Someone (I think Elder Wilcock, a full-time missionary at AoA) had installed a plank-bridge across the stream at the lower end of the beautiful pecan grove, below "Preacher's Rock" where the acoustics is awesome.  Elder Wilcock told me a few weeks ago, at Church (he is assigned to our ward), that he had found the location of the dedicated Temple site at Adam-ondi-Ahman.  He shared that with me on a map.

So we all walked across the bridge and then found a rough trail leading to a road on the other side of the stream.  We walked to a road and then followed the road to a branch.  One side went up - towards the Temple site on Spring Hill.

--> SECTION 116
Revelation given to Joseph Smith the Prophet, near Wight’s Ferry, at a place called Spring Hill, Daviess County, Missouri, May 19, 1838.
1 Spring Hill is named by the Lord Adam-ondi-Ahman, because, said he, it is the place where Adam shall come to visit his people, or the Ancient of Days shall sit, as spoken of by Daniel the prophet.

The right branch of the road went back to Preacher's Rock on Tower Hill - and since we were getting in need of rest-room facilities, we chose the right branch (for now).   Awesome place, very wonderful feeling there!

I told the family present that Jesus had ALREADY VISITED Adam-ond-Ahman.  Can anyone guess what I was talkng about?
  (See D&C 107.)   \

Much that portends to the future will occur at this spot.

Love,
Dad

Hint:  D&C 107 (revelation given THREE YEARS BEFORE the location of Adam-ondi-Ahman was revealed by the Lord)

48 Enoch was twenty-five years old when he was ordained under the hand of Adam; and he was sixty-five and Adam blessed him.
49 And he saw the Lord, and he walked with him, and was before his face continually; and he walked with God three hundred and sixty-five years, making him four hundred and thirty years old when he was translated.
...
53 Three years previous to the death of Adam, he called Seth, Enos, Cainan, Mahalaleel, Jared, Enoch, and Methuselah, who were all ahigh priests, with the residue of his posterity who were righteous, into the valley of Adam-ondi-Ahman, and there bestowed upon them his last blessing.
54 And the Lord appeared unto them, and they rose up and blessed Adam, and called him Michael, the prince, the archangel.
55 And the Lord administered comfort unto Adam, and said unto him: I have set thee to be at the head; a multitude of nations shall come of thee, and thou art a prince over them forever.
56 And Adam stood up in the midst of the congregation; and, notwithstanding he was bowed down with age, being full of the Holy Ghost, predicted whatsoever should befall his posterity unto the latest generation.
57 These things were all written in the book of Enoch, and are to be testified of in due time.

The administration official overseeing coronavirus testing efforts was pushed out of his vaccine development role at Texas A&M University over performance issues, according to a report from the Washington Post.
The Post reports:

[A]fter eight years of work on several vaccine projects, [Brett] Giroir was told in 2015 he had 30 minutes to resign or he would be fired. His annual performance evaluation at Texas A&M, the local newspaper reported, said he was ‘more interested in promoting yourself’ than the health science center where he worked. He got low marks on being a ‘team player.’
Now President Trump has given Giroir the crucial task of ending the massive shortfall of tests for the novel coronavirus. Some governors have blasted the lack of federal help on testing, which they say is necessary to enact Trump’s plan for reopening the economy.
That criticism has focused attention on Giroir and whether he can deliver results under pressure. His years as director of the Texas vaccine project illustrate his operating style, which includes sweeping statements about the impact of his work, not all of which turned out as some had hoped.
During two recent interviews with The Washington Post, Giroir blamed his ouster on internal politics at the university, not on any problems with the project.
Many public health experts have said that the economy cannot fully reopen until coronavirus testing becomes widely available; otherwise the country will risk seeing a surge in cases once stay-at-home orders are relaxed.

Truth is often the first casualty in the aftermath of conflict. The creation of mythological stories about real-life historical figures has become entrenched in every facet of American culture for a very long time.
In the case of mid-twentieth-century leaders, it has taken nearly five decades for truth-seekers to sift out the myths—composed of subtle deceits and brazen lies—from the basest pure truths.

President Lyndon Johnson and FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover are the clearest examples of how the tension between myths

Fauci the Hypocrite. Do NIAID royalties cloud his thinking?

Dr. Tony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) does well.  According to the NY Times, "He is among the most highly paid federal employees, earning about $400,000 a year, more than the vice president or the chief justice of the United States. He oversees a budget of $5.89 billion for the 2020 fiscal year."

Based on reporting by the Associated Press and British Medical Journal, in addition to his salary, he has patented IL2 as a treatment for AIDS, while directing NIAID.  He receives an unknown amount of royalties for that, which according to NIH rules may reach a maximum of $150,000 per year.  Queried about this, he said he gives the money to charity.

I mention Fauci and royalties because his institute collects royalties on a number of patents. NIAID has a patent for therapeutic drug products to treat MERS, and  seeks collaborators for commercial development. NIAID collaborated on a vaccine for MERS. And NIAID developed the use of a previously licensed, two drug combination to treat Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, or MERS.  MERS is caused by a deadly coronavirus, a cousin to SARS-CoV-2.

In an interview with USA Today seven years ago, Fauci discussed MERS, which was causing an outbreak in Qatar and Saudi Arabia with over 30% mortality.  Fauci sang an entirely different song than he is singing now about hydroxychloroquine.  Back then, he suggested using a licensed and available drug combination to treat MERS, even though the treatment had not gone through definitive trials. (And even though the treatment is dangerous, see below.) Might this be because his institute had discovered the MERS treatment and stood to benefit, while hydroxychloroquine, at a cost of about $1.00 for a full treatment course, might save lives but would make nobody rich?
Scientists found that a combination of the antiviral drugs ribavirin and interferon-alpha 2b can stop the virus from reproducing in lab-grown cells, says lead author Darryl Falzarano of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID)'s lab in Hamilton, Mont.

That's particularly encouraging, because these drugs, now used to treat hepatitis C, are widely available, says Anthony Fauci, director of the infectious-disease institute, which financed the research.
"We don't have to start designing new drugs," a process that takes years, Fauci says. "The next time someone comes into an emergency room in Qatar or Saudi Arabia, you would have drugs that are readily available. And at least you would have some data."
Even though the treatment hasn't gone through definitive trials, Fauci says, "if I were a physician in a hospital and someone were dying, rather than do nothing, you can see if these work."
But what makes him more of a hypocrite is that the drug combination he recommended using is known to be exceptionally dangerous.  It contains a Black Box warning, and its FDA label says the following:
"Alpha interferons, including PEG-Intron, cause or aggravate fatal or life-threatening neuropsychiatric, autoimmune, ischemic, and infectious disorders. Patients should be monitored closely with periodic clinical and laboratory evaluations. Patients with persistently severe or worsening signs or symptoms of these conditions should be withdrawn from therapy. In many but not all cases these disorders resolve after stopping PEG-Intron therapy. See WARNINGS, ADVERSE REACTIONS.Use with Ribavirin. Ribavirin may cause birth defects and/or death of the unborn child. Extreme care must be taken to avoid pregnancy in female patients and in female partners of male patients. Ribavirin causes hemolytic anemia. The anemia associated with REBETOL therapy may result in a worsening of cardiac disease. Ribavirin is genotoxic and mutagenic and should be considered a potential carcinogen. (See REBETOL package insert for additional information and other warnings)."
Fauci's NIH colleagues provided this warning regarding the drug combination Fauci thought should be used in the absence of clinical trials, in a 2006 NEJM review:
"Side effects of peginterferon and ribavirin affect virtually all patients who receive treatment. The most common side effect of ribavirin is hemolysis, and anemia is the major reason for dose reduction. The stress of the sudden onset of anemia can induce myocardial infarction in persons with preexisting coronary artery disease or stroke in those with cerebrovascular disease. Ribavirin is also teratogenic, and strict adherence to an effective means of birth control is mandatory for both women and men who receive this drug. Serious side effects of combination therapy occur in 1 to 2% of patients, and permanent injury and death can occur.
Yet Fauci continues to claim hydroxychloroquine is inappropriate to use for Covid-19...

De-Funding the World Health Organization: Unethical, Cruel, and Dangerous for the World
by ARIEL

Just when we thought things couldn’t get any worse than a global pandemic that has reached all corners of the earth, infecting over 2 million people and killing over 140,000 — over 31,500 so far in the U.S. — President Trump has announced that the U.S. will suspend all funding to the World Health Organization.
Trump’s reasoning — supported by such Republican Senators such as Tom Cotton and Todd Young — is that China has too much influence over the WHO, that the WHO failed disseminate accurate information to governments in the early stages of the COVID-19 crisis, and that the U.S. is best positioned to address the crisis on its own without global cooperation. This is wrong and dangerous not only for the U.S., but for the entire world. For countries whose COVID-19

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tacoma_Narrows_Bridge
... In many undergraduate physics texts the event is presented as an example of elementary forced resonance with the wind providing an external periodic frequency that matched the natural structural frequency...

http://www.math.harvard.edu/archive/21b ... index.html

The bridge began first to vibrate torsionally, giving it a twisting motion. Later the vibrations entered a natural resonance frequency of the bridge which started to increase their amplitude.

--------------

http://www.beyondweird.com/conspiracies/tesreson.html
What follows is part of an article and interview with Tesla by Allan L. Benson, published in The World To-Day, Vol. XXI, No. 8, February 1912, Page 1763-1767.

The principle embodied in [experiments with resonance] interested Tesla, and he determined to try it upon a larger scale. He ordered from a steel company a steel link, two feet long and two inches thick. He was careful to specify that the steel should be of the best quality. As a matter of fact, the link was strong enough to bear a weight of hundreds of tons.

Tesla fastened to this link an electric vibrator, no larger than an alarm- clock, but so constructed that the frequency of the vibrations could be altered at will. He set the vibrator to going and then began to vary the vibrations for the purpose of getting the vibrator in "tune" with the link. For a long time, nothing happened -- the vibrations of the link and of the machine did not chance to coincide. But at last he got them together, the great steel link began to tremble, increased its trembling until it dilated and contracted like a beating heart -- and finally broke!

Sledge hammers could not have done it; crowbars could not have done it, but a fusillade of taps, no one of which would have harmed a baby, did it.

Tesla was pleased. He had learned something. He wanted to learn more. He put his little vibrator in his coat pocket and went out to hunt a half-erected steel building. Down in the Wall Street district, he found one -- ten stories of steel framework without a brick or a stone laid around it. He clamped his vibrator to one of the beams, and fussed with the adjustment until he got it.

"In a few minutes", he said, "I could feel the beam trembling. Gradually, the trembling increased in intensity and extended throughout the whole great mass of steel. Finally, the structure began to creak and weave, and the steel- workers came to the ground panic-stricken, believing that there had been an earthquake. Rumors spread that the building was about to fall, and the police reserves were called out. Before anything serious happened, I took off the vibrator, put it in my pocket and went away. But if I had kept on ten minutes more, I could have laid that building flat in the street. And, with the same vibrator, I could drop Brooklyn Bridge into the East River in less than an hour."

Tesla says that he can split the earth in the same way -- split it as a boy would split an apple -- and forever end the career of man.

This seems like quite a large order -- but see what he says about it.

"The vibrations of the earth," said he, "have a periodicity of approximately one hour and forty-nine minutes. That is to say, if I strike the earth this instant, a wave of contraction goes through it that will come back in one hour and forty-nine minutes in the form of expansion. As a matter of fact, the earth, like everything else, is in a constant state of vibration. It is constantly contracting and expanding.

"Now, suppose that at the precise moment when it begins to contract, I explode a ton of dynamite. That accelerates the contraction and, in one hour and forty-nine minutes, there comes an equally accelerated wave of expansion. When the wave of expansion ebbs, suppose I explode another ton of dynamite, thus further increasing the wave of contraction. And, suppose this performance be repeated, time after time. Is there any doubt as to what would happen? There is no doubt in my mind. The earth would be split in two. For the first time in man's history, he has the knowledge with which he may interfere with cosmic processes."

I asked Tesla how long he thought it would take him to split the earth in two. He said he didn't know. Months might be required; perhaps a year or two.

"But in a few weeks," he said, "I could set the earth's crust into such a state of vibration that it would rise and fall hundreds of feet, throwing rivers out of their beds, wrecking buildings, and practically destroying civilization.

"The principle cannot fail. It is as powerful when applied to the earth as it is when applied to a [violin note shattering a] wineglass, a [boy pushing a man on a] swing, or a steel link. Any one who doubts should only bear in mind the illustration of the swing. A small boy, by each time adding a pound to the force with which a 200-pound man swings, can soon set the man swinging with the force of 500 pounds. It is necessary only to keep adding a little force at the right time."

THE NORRIDGEWOCK INDIANS' TIME
Protruding into the Kennebec river just below the Route 8 bridge connecting Emden and Solon, Maine rests a whale shaped ledge outcrop. Its message waits for your arrival and has for over 300 years. You will need to be a bit of a boater or hiker though. You can boat downriver about a 1/4 mile just as the indians did or hike the well marked 1/4 mile down a very steep slope into the natural half-bowl protecting Indian Rock on the west.

Looking upriver toward Bingham, Maine this outcrop protrudes twenty-feet (plus or minus) from the western shore into the Kennebeck. It appears as a whale's head. Although, the whale head feature is not where the interests lay. On the downriver side of this rock are ghostly messages from the people of the Abenaki Nation and the Norridgewock tribe - - Petroglyphs. Mysteriously they survive the perpetual horrendous pounding of the annual spring flood waters.

Petroglyphs are rock carvings accomplished by hammering the surface of a large rock with a small hand held harder stone. The resulting indentations were carefully placed to form drawings. Primitive but pristine art projecting the natives' existence and lives into the unimaginable distant future. It certainly required many peaceful summer or fall hours there beside the Kennebec River's slow moving restful waters to complete the individual's thought.

I can easily identify one messenger as Chief Bomazine, leader of the Norridgewalk Tribe. The Norridgewock's village was approximately ten miles downriver from the Indian Rock at the place where Anson and Madison now set. The tribe's fame is of Father Sebastian Raisle, a French Jesuit priest who chose to leave France and live among the Abenakies and teach them about the Christian God. The tribe's warriors were more involved with raids in the Portsmouth, New Hampshire area and the Isle of Shoals.

It is easy to detect the Norridgewock's confusion with the God/Death/Heaven concept. Upon the great Indian Rock is a drawing of Father Raisle's wooden church with bell tower and all. Projecting from the church roof is a ladder pointing into the sky. On the ground surrounding the little church lays food; vegetables, raccoon, deer parts, woodchuck, etc., all ready for consumption. These folks had determined that it was a long hard climb up to where God lives and they weren't going there hungry.

In addition to canoes, hunting tools, thunder birds and, believe it or not, sexual depictions, there is an indentation of a woman with a papoose on her back. It is toward the river's edge and closely adjacent with a thunderbird. Chief Bomazine's famous totum (signature) was a woman with a papoose on her back.

Bomazine means "slippery cloth" in old English. The chief earned this name from the British by frequently escaping their grip when slipping out of their Boston prison undetected. Chief Bomazine was ambushed and slaughtered with musket fire during the dark early morning hours by British Captain Moulton of Kittery, Maine and his troops. Bomazine was shot down in the middle of the Kennebec River. He was crossing to run upriver from his family's camp and save his tribesmen and women from the bloody British attack. That day - the soldiers killed nearly all except Bomaine's wife and daughter who escaped the bloodbath. The Norridgewock tribe lived no more - - except in memory.
