Hello everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself. I have been lurking around this site for the better part of a year now and finally decided to join. I must say I am not as down on the government as some are on this site, but I have spent a lot of time studying and coming to the same conclusions that many of you have. I must confess I am still not totally convinced by the 9-11 conspiracy arguments, but I do know the arguments should at least be more fleshed out and taken more seriously by the general public instead of written off.
My "conversion" away from Republicanism and over to the side of the constitution has been at times painful, but I am totally convinced that there is no one in public office save Ron Paul pushing constitutional principles. I have JNewby to thank for starting my conversion. We spent a lot of time discussing a lot of what is talked about on this post while we were in the same ward together a couple of years ago. He has pointed me to several books that have literally opened my eyes and helped me to gain a better understanding.
I currently live in south eastern Iowa and have been in Iowa or just across the boarder from Iowa in Illinois for 8 years now. I am an engineering manager for the largest agriculture manufacture in the world. I served a mission to Italy back in the mid-90's (I am overjoyed at the announcement of the new Rome temple), and my wife and I have 6 beautiful children. In addition to my church service and community service I am trying to spread the message of the constitution and getting our government back to constitutional principles.
Anyways, I am glad to finally be one of you and no longer be a anonymous bystander.
