In an earlier post, you said Trump said he would ban all Muslims, conveniently leaving out why he would do so (screen Muslim jihadists) and for how long (until a proper vetting process was put in place). You also distorted his intent by saying he would ban all 1.6 billion Muslims, conveniently ignoring Trump's saying he would put a temporary ban on Muslim immigrants, which would be a very small subset of the 1.6 billion (or 1.3).
That is not being objective.

Donald J. Trump Statement on Preventing Muslim Immigration
(New York, NY) December 7th, 2015, -- Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on. According to Pew Research, among others, there is great hatred towards Americans by large segments of the Muslim population. Most recently, a poll from the Center for Security Policy released data showing "25% of those polled agreed that violence against Americans here in the United States is justified as a part of the global jihad" and 51% of those polled, "agreed that Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to Shariah." Shariah authorizes such atrocities as murder against non-believers who won't convert, beheadings and more unthinkable acts that pose great harm to Americans, especially women.
Mr. Trump stated, "Without looking at the various polling data, it is obvious to anybody the hatred is beyond comprehension. Where this hatred comes from and why we will have to determine. Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life. If I win the election for President, we are going to Make America Great Again." - Donald J. Trump
Your first post on this subject emphasized Trump banning all Muslims. You then did include the quote from the Trump campaign. I'll grant you that.
But your subsequent comments indicate that even banning Muslims for a milisecond really troubles you, even bringing in the 14th amendment and 1st amendments to support your position, which have scant little, if anything, to do with Trump's proposal in my view.Except that's not what he said:
Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump called Monday for barring all Muslims from entering the United States.
"Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on," a campaign press release said.
Trump is simply responding to real acts of violence committed in this country by Muslim jihadists or jihadist wannabees. These acts come close to being acts of war against US citizens by people with a Muslim background. He is also responding to what these same groups are doing to an even more extreme degree in several European countries, and wants to nip these actions in the bud before they reach these extremes.
Very reasonable in my view, when seen in the context of 'acts of war' and when viewed in the context of the Center for Security Policy poll quoted by fiannan, above. You may disagree. So be it. However, if an act of violence coming from Muslim jihadists directly affected you and your family with tragic consequences, that would probably swing you more over to Trump's side.
To make matters worse, he forgot to rid himself of the vitriol as the general election started. He cooked his goose.
Replace reasonable with stupid, and you got it.

OK. I guess we're friends . . . . As long as you're OK with that . . . . But you do realize, when you use those terms on strangers, it mostly comes across as condescending.
I think that when you have horrible attacks against American citizens, you take steps to protect them. Putting a moratorium on the entry of Muslims into the country has nothing to do with following the Constitution. I've read your arguments. I don't think they hold water, vis-a-vis the 1st and the 14th amendment.
But let's not get into a back-and-forth on this, but just ATD.

Where do you get that logic?
If Jesus,Satan, one of Satans minions. And a follower of Jesus were all running for president who would you choose?
Satan democrat party was polled to win.
Jesus 3rd party was polled to loose by a land slide.
Satans minion was close behind Satan.
Jesus's follower a republican had a better chance to win then Jesus did.
Who would you vote for?
And if you voted for that person would that mean you voted for Satan?
If you vote for someone that's who you vote for. Period. Or are all votes a vote for Satan?

Are you female? Just curious I had a girlfriend who tryed to read into everything I said. Most annoying thing ever.
I Once told her I thought it would be fun to hitch a ride on a train see where it took me and then make my way back. Thought it would be a cool adventure/vacation.
She took that to mean that I wanted to be a vagabond for the rest of my life. And went off on a tangent on how she needed stability in her life and had already moved past being a wonderer.
=))
I reminded her I said vacation. Not life choice.
I just asked you some questions. Answer them.
Nothing is implied. It's a totally made up scenario.
I'm a guy. I ask questions to get answers not to imply the moon is round by asking about cats.

See that's exactly what I'm talking about.
Your asking about my mom when I told you exactly what happened. You want this to be more complicated then it is.
Notice that I didn't talk about my mother when I was talking about what happened with my ex girlfriend? That's because it didn't remind me of my mom. your trying to read into it something that isant there.
Again. I'm not trying to imply the moon is round by asking about cats. I asked if you were female. Because some guys and girls think very diffrently from each other.
You continue to remind me of that ex girlfriend.
Which with her the fact that she couldn't have a conversation without putting her own read in imagined theory's into it. I broke up with her.
She really wanted there to be some deeper issue, something I left unsaid that she guessed at. And it simply wasn't there. She would have a chip on her shoulder and treat me diffrently depending on how she inturpted what I said to mean things that I didn't say.
I'm a very strait forward person. I say what I mean. I don't dance around. Which I feel is a big part of being a therapist. Being able to clearly communicate what your explaining. Not giving them a verbal puzzle that they then need to solve along with there own problems.
So when I say you remind me of that old girlfriend because you read into what I say imagined things. That's exactly what's happening. Not some made up theory.
Do you have mother issues by the way? If so the church does offer counseling. :-ss
I feel you are afraid the answer the questions above about who to vote for because of what you will have to admit in doing so.

It was a joke. Probably in poor taste but you know how Democrats are known for registering dead people to vote.Ezra wrote:Who is Seth?markharr wrote:Word is that Seth Rich is voting for her.
Seth Rich was a DNC staffer who was murdered on July 8. They say he was robbed but his cash, wallet, and credit cards were not taken. Jullian Assange of Wikileaks strongly suggested that he was the source of the leaked DNC emails last night.
The Gadianton robbers are among us, and stronger than ever.
Julian Assange: Whistleblowers go to significant efforts to get us material and often very significant risks. As a 27 year-old, works for the DNC, was shot in the back, murdered just a few weeks ago for unknown reasons as he was walking down the street in Washington.
Reporter: That was just a robbery, I believe. Wasn’t it?
Julian Assange: No. There’s no finding. So… I’m suggesting that our sources take risks.

After rigged, Trumpies second favorite word is Alleged.
All points against Trump, are alleged. Allege this, allege that. Can't the Trumpies take responsibility for the comments of their candidate? Maybe not, Trump doesn't even take responsibility.
Trump is doing an excellent job in tubing his candidacy. I think Jason is correct, Trump is doing this to help Hillary win.
