I've heard that military exercises using underwater sonic/sonar drives whale/dolphins crazy and they seek escape from the noise and beach themselves.
Also, low vibrational sound waves are said to trigger earthquakes by some.

I guess one can sympathize with the whales. certainly it is worth exploring what happened, but these days, science has been so hijacked by leftest politics, I would be suspicious of anybody claiming to know what happened.
