"Wise men bear gifts" and come not empty handed before the LORD.

Post by Robert Sinclair »

It is written in the law, to not appear before the LORD empty handed, at the time of the feasts.♡

See: Deuteronomy 16:16-17 ♡

O Ephraim, come to know your hour and call, for the "feast of fat things" for the poor, you are called, and honored, and elected to prepare and impart, that you might lay the foundation of Zion. (See D&C 58:7-12) ♡

And what sort of gifts might be acceptable to God, who made the world, and all things in it? My own suspicion is our way of being; a contrite heart, an open mind, and generous soul, maybe. I cannot think that material things, that are God's anyway, and do not accompany us through death's dark veil, are the things God especially desires from us.

Best wishes, 2RM.

Search the "One Stick" and see, freewill offerings of all---

"Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee."
(Deuteronomy 16:17)

"And if thou obtainest more than that which would be needed for thy support, thou shalt give it into my storehouse, that all things may be done according to that which I have said." (D&C 42:55)

"Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away." (Matthew 5:42)

"If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me."; As Jesus told one who came to him and asked, "What lack I yet?".♡

Oh, OK. I get where you are coming from, now. I don't disagree with you.

Cheers, 2RM.
