LDSFF EXPO….cool idea or not?

Post by cayenne »

Recently my family attended the FIRM expo in Sandy UT, and i kind of thought to myself, wouldn't it be cool if the ldsff had an expo? I don't know how much it would cost, where it would be held, etc

Oh, yes, can you imagine if everyone was required to wear a t-shirt or tag with their ldsff name posted real big so everyone can see :)

Oh yes, there could be special classroom sessions held, and their titles would be whatever the most popular threads have been. Ofcourse Brian would be the head of the show…..then their could be a class on Woman Missionary issues taught by Darren, or their could be a class on the "great and spacious mall" concept taught by Col Flagg…….or a cool science class headed by SempiternalHarbinger……etc etc

Any fun thoughts on this?

It should be held in Yorkshire.
I'll even supply the T-shirts, and I'll get my butler to print them.

Add a course on "Robot Buddies" by Fiannan and one more for "How To Be Obnoxious" by iWriteStuff and I'd be all over that..... minus the robot part.

I think we would all be surprised at the real identities that would be exposed to the real world. I try to picture everyone in flattering ways. Not sure I would recognize anyone. lol

Sounds like a good time, I make funnel cakes.

The explanation of an expo is; a time for sharing innovation, promoting progress and fostering cooperation. Can we incorporate a gun show into this expo?

Sine we'll be wearing t- shirts, we could have a fun run.
" The 1st LDS FREEDOM FORUM ANGRY MOB FUN RUN,"
I like it. The winner gets a funnel cake and the last one in is permanently banned from the forum. No steroids please.

We could have zombies chasing us for motivation.

How to be an alpha male and attract more women by Fiannan... I will avoid that class and discourse entirely, but you may get a few 30+ year old RMs in the room, but highly doubt many women will attend.

On a serious note, we could do what they do in grade school or primary sharing time, guess the right person by reading highlights, talents, and interesting facts, from their LDSFF life...

LDSFF highlights... Brian M, or maybe Thinker or A Random Phrase (to help keep an unbiased approach) reads the highlight hints to audience...

#1.
This LDSFF member was kicked to outer darkness for being so stringent that Bee Prepared's stings paled in comparison to what came from this member's fingertips...

shouts from audience - "Tony! Franco!"

A Random Phrase - "Correct!" - reads a few snippets as Tony goes up to receive his candy bar and give a 5 minute speech to return to hugs from LDSFF audience.

#2.
I need only show you an animated gif to help you guess our next LDSFF highlight. Shows a few annoying animated gifs found in LDSFF, and some distasteful photos...

shouts from audience - "iWriteStuff!", "lemuel", "joel"

#3.
This LDSFF member has the record for the most scripture quotes from the Old Testament ever along with an oft repeated commentary?

shouts from Original_Intent, "Robert Sinclair!"

Robert goes up with grandchild holding his hand to get candy bar, and OI gives him a big embrace upon returning, to become best of friends thereafter.

#4. This LDSFF member has been accused of being the most arrogant of all posters, has been called the devil more than any other LDSFF member, and teaches how to sell on amazon?

silence from the audience not wanting to let anyone know they know who this person is, until rewcox shouts, "BrotherOfMahonri, Jared, formerly BalaamDoctrineLDS!"

Does not appear, nor is he present, as he has left Utah with his family through the wilderness by end of Spring or Summer 2016.

You tell me, you seem to be the one with all the studies of what women want in an alpha male?

Shouldn't that cause you just a moment of self reflection and introspection J? Perhaps your method of delivery could be re-examined and adjusted. Worth a try?

Absolutely, Elder Scott gives some good counsel on self reflection and introspection. I take it to heart daily if not hourly. I think I am OCD on self reflection and introspection that I've swung so far in the extreme my entire life (allowing myself to take anyone's personal issues upon myself, blaming my own self), God had to help me see how unhealthy that was, as I never wanted to become what I saw my father and other men were like growing up.

So when do you think, Mark, you can have such confidence before God as Lehi did, or Nephi, who both were I'm sure labeled arrogant and accused of so much evil speaking of their leaders or Laman and Lemuel? - such confidence that you KNOW what you shared is everything BUT what others label as arrogant and prideful? That is the challenge is it not for each of us? What are you doing so that your words, if ever are more than Yeah yeah, or nay nay, they are of the spirit? including humor? as we will answer for all idle words that leave our mouths (or fingertips).

I know where I stand before God enough in regards to this forum, and He has things planned for those he sends here for answers, relief, etc. through others inspired words.

I look forward to his humbling me where I do err, and plead with him to do so, as he prompts me often to come here and share things - I submit that most of us err when our motives are anything but born of love, and God alone knows if our words are of love, pride, his Spirit, or otherwise.

It is so easy to assume when we lack love. The question maybe we ask ourselves is what is born of love and what is not.

How can one know where he stands before God on this forum? I enjoy your reasoning and don't worry to much about the idle things I say. Better re-think that one.

2 thoughts;

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

“The spirit of the gospel is optimistic; it trusts in God and looks on the bright side of things. The opposite or pessimistic spirit drags men down and away from God, looks on the dark side, murmurs, complains, and is slow to yield obedience.”

Perhaps during sharing time, there could be some speculation about the Strengthening The Church Members Committee and whether or not a delegation is present.

I'm good at planning sharing times. I can control a crowd.
I use " I can be reverent" duct tape.
