Don't just assume that when you see "garbage" on the forum that the mods have allowed it. It's possible the mods haven't seen it and no one reported it and that why it remains.capctr wrote:Bee was banned? On what grounds?
After some of the garbage I have seen the mods allow, I am confused about why someone like Bee would have got booted.
This is true. Bee was very vicious and hateful in her personal attacks towards me.Bee had a rancorous, spiteful side, if she wanted to show it. She often did, especially to the more...open-minded set. I finally put her on ignore, and my issues with her pretty much ceased.

Can you and Bee be reconciled? With a little coaching to Bee?

Dash Jones is a good find. Don't let someone out bid you for him.

I don't think so. The writing styles seem very different to me, and the theology was totally different. Also, burningsword quoted the Book of Mormon often. This guy -- he believes anything besides the Bible is heresy.idahommie wrote:It's Burning Sword......remember, the guy who thinks he's Christ? His tone and writing style is the same.......

Re: Complaining about Parture
This is not even the first time she was banned. She is who she is, there is nothing to be reconciled. She was also previously banned under another username after many warnings and was just as vicious/hateful towards me the first time (that was before she came back as Bee Prepared).rewcox wrote:Can you and Bee be reconciled? Just to be clear, Parture is Troy Brooks. Troy Brooks was NOT also Burning Sword/Emmanuel, correct?BrianM wrote:Parture is confirmed to be Troy Brooks.idahommie wrote:It's Burning Sword......remember, the guy who thinks he's Christ? His tone and writing style is the same.......
Also, who is Troy Brooks? It seems that he's a well known person?

I don't know anything about Troy Brooks (except that he was Parture).. Dash Jones seems to know about him.

Hopefully this isn't too irreverent:Obrien wrote:John 8:11, Jesus wrote:...go, and sin no more.

Overall, confessing and asking Jesus for forgiveness of real sin is far more fulfilling than asking the Creator of the forum for the same consideration...BrianM wrote:Anything is possible, I suppose.Obrien wrote:So, not to be an opportunist, but ya figure this could knock down the old warning count? ;)

Well, it is sort of irreverent (well for Catholics...probably not for Mormons)...
But I still laughed. It's funny.

Hey, even God has a sense of humor. Don't believe me? Stare straight into the eyes of a moose. They're so goofy, I'm sure He chuckled the whole time He was making them. Duck-billed platypus, too.

Re: Complaining about Parture
I could not read any of Partures posts.
It was clear to me what he was up to, particularly where he just posted thread after thread, he had like 5 in a row or something, and they were all titled something that clearly indicated derision of the LDS faith.
Antagonistic titles. However, giving him the benefit of the doubt, I clicked on one or two and saw that his intent was derisive. So I didn't post. However, I did notice that others were making many posts. To see it go on like that only confirmed my initial assessment.
I would not mind seeing Bee back here. I did appreciate her. I do know she didn't like Obrien, but then, he's no saint, is he?
I don't know why she had a problem with Brianm, nor why, if she did, why he would take it personal.
There are few here who can be said to be perfect. I think Robert Sinclair is an example. He rankles me with his many posts, so I no longer read much from him, but then, look at two good posts he had in this thread.
And his ambition in staying up all night to try to post truth (if it was) to Parture.
However, it was all wasted, as it did no good. Like I had sensed from the start it wouldn't.
Just a waste of a good night's sleep.

Re: Complaining about Parture
Have faith, sometimes even the smallest things can work upon a person's heart, and once planted can eventually grow into something good.
I know in my retirement small things from my past, together with the moment, still motivate me even at this time, to press forward, continuing to learn more and more, as I read the scriptures.
Things I may have missed even having read through the scriptures hundreds of times, I become enlightened to.
Many times I have posted something in response, and in that moment, knew not how the answers were coming, but was surprised at what I had even texted. As if even I was learning even as I was posting, something new.
I am sure many of you may have experienced the same thing continuing to search for answers to help this family of Ephraim and it's invited guests.♡
For Parture finally did cease after my last post to him, and I was hopeful it was beginning to sink in, that what he was posting was not written in the scriptures anywhere, and was the thought of his own heart and mind, and not the word of God.♡

I hope I have never been mean or nasty to any single member of this forum personally ever. If I ever have, I am deeply sorry and apologize, as that has never been my intent, that is why I put hearts at the ends of my texts, to remind me if I don't feel comfortable with that text, change it so I am, as my intent has always been to do good for this house of Ephraim and any invited guests.♡

There is no double standard [Jedi hand wave]capctr wrote:I know. Right?

I've said it before and I'll say it again... The moderators don't see all posts (there are only 2 of us at the moment) and therefore rely on others to report posts that violate the forum rules. If you haven't reported a post that violated the forum rules that is why nothing was done about it. There are very few on this forum who report any posts. When posts do get reported it is dealt with - the banning of Parture is evidence of that process in action.
Just like in real life, the existence of forum rules doesn't imply that there will exist an all-seeing person or robot on the forum that catches and deals with every violation. There will never be a "police state" on this forum, why would you want such a thing?

Re: Complaining about Parture
Charity towards others, "♡" covers a multitude of sins.
Good to have no "ill will" manifested when posting.♡
See that goodwill and enlightenment, is the intent of your postings, even if coming here to play in this playground of free thinking guests, and if serious, see that kindness towards others is manifested, without mean-spirited remarks directed at another posting, for truly those who come here to discuss matters of the day and hour and time past, and yet to come, that do so with goodwill, it is recognized over time, with their comments, those who do have care for others.♡
