"Traditions of the fathers of Judah and Joseph, some correct some in need of amending."

In the Book of Joel the LORD directs, for the old men to give ear, and even to all the inhabitants of the land-----

"Hath this been in your days, or even in the days of your fathers?" (Joel 1:2)

And then goes on to describe the conditions of the vineyard and fields and pastures of the LORD as being utterly wasted and perished.

The call to amend one's ways or traditions of destroying the harvest, is to commence.

From the years of Isaiah and Jeremiah and Hosea these things have gone on and on, and the cry has gone out from the LORD, to amend your ways and doings, or traditions, to bring them in line, with his words.

The LORD asks---

"Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes?
"Behold, even I have seen it saith the LORD." (Jer 7:11)

So what is this that since the days of Moses, have both the houses of Israel of Judah and Joseph been doing, that has gone away, from the word of the LORD?

Why was even the whole seed of Ephraim cast out?
(See what happened to Shiloh, now all that remains is a heap of 12 acres of ruin, in the north of Israel)

If one takes the time to look into the book called the "One Stick" and seeks to be confounded no more, they will see it is the treatment of the poor and needy, among the people who call themselves of God.

That since the days of Moses and the feasts, they were to bring all their surplus in, not needed for themselves, and make distribution unto those without.

And that all were to be given inheritances in these lands of promise, sufficient for the needs and wants of all.

The traditions of the fathers, have gone away from these things God has commanded, and it would be good, if the husbandmen and vinedressers would be ashamed -Joel 1:11, and that fasting and prayer and sanctification and purification of the people is done.

Ex-drunkards like me are to awaken, and weep and howl, because of new scripture of words of the LORD, that has been cut off from our mouths to drink up. (Joel 1:5)

If everyone does their part, we will all have reason to be glad and rejoice even as it is written in Joel 2:23.♡
