BTW, what is ponography?
Your home for discussing politics, the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, and the principles of liberty.

Aren't robots people that follow after sin and don't give a rat? Are they people that stomp on the Constitution and don't give a rat? Are they people that vote for the lesser of two evils thinking that one evil is any better than another? Are they people that get hooked on porno and become slaves to it, and can't break away because the temptation is so embedded that they are now robots following after their own lusts? Ya, robots are so enticing aren't they?Sirocco wrote:I'm looking forward to robots :))Fiannan wrote:Sirocco, even without robots the technologies coming about will make today's hysteria over naughty movies on the net look almost nostalgic.
I meant the more literal kind, not the metaphorical kind.freedomforall wrote:Aren't robots people that follow after sin and don't give a rat? I'm sorry you see God as judge of your behavior. I see God as a judge of our character. Blame psychology, neurology, physics or astronomy if you want, but some of the greatest understandings about God come from people who are educated, not ignorant. Ps. God is the greatest psychologist.freedomforall wrote: If we want to know how God thinks we must be rid of psychology. There is no way that man-made philosophy can come close to what God really thinks. It is completely fabricated ideas that are used to get into someone's brain. We must come to understand the consequences of sin and how they relate to the will of God. You can help people deal with sin, but are powerless to remit them. This is why we have a Savior.
Thought this would fit here.zionminded wrote:Blame psychology, neurology, physics or astronomy if you want, but some of the greatest understandings about God come from people who are educated, not ignorant. Ps. God is the greatest psychologist.
Hmm. The prefix pono- means pain, and the suffix -graphy means writing or recording.freedomforall wrote:BTW, what is ponography?

Incorrect again except for God being the greatest Psychologist. I know a lot about God simply by reading scriptures often as counseled to do. I've been to Psychologists, Psychiatrists, and many other doctors, yet it was Christ who was able to heal me. Earthly doctors cannot even come close to doing the same things God can do. Many, many times they have been confounded because of the power of the [edited, t added] priesthood.zionminded wrote:I'm sorry you see God as judge of your behavior. Thanks. So I guess the OP is talking about the wrong topic, and every post thereafter. :)) Which is not spiritual in the least bit, btw.captainfearnot wrote:Hmm. The prefix pono- means pain, and the suffix -graphy means writing or recording.freedomforall wrote:BTW, what is ponography?
So I guess ponography would refer to that book that Count Rugen was working on in The Princess Bride:
"I'm sure you've discovered my deep and abiding interest in pain. Presently I'm writing the definitive work on the subject..."
Christ is the ONLY healer, period. Some therapists or psychologists use Christ, other's do not. Some psychologist use the strength of their education as their source of "power", and in this they do error.freedomforall wrote:Incorrect again except for God being the greatest Psychologist. Even a simpleton can come to know God through the Spirit through prayer and study. A prior education has know bearing with the exception of being able to read. Besides look where Joseph Smith went during his lifetime. He was a poorly educated boy called to be a prophet. He was even aspiring to become the POTUS He learned many things along the way from boyhood to adulthood, through good and harsh experiences. Did he ever have a diploma?
Alma 37:6
6 Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise.
Doctrine and Covenants 64:33
33 Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great.
Isa. 55:8 (8–9)
8 ¶For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
We, the children of God, are the ignorant ones.
