Terry and LeAnn Bond Larson, Authors of "Enoch Colonies"

I feel a need to warn of more false prophets. Terry and LeAnn Bond Larson are authors of the book "Enoch Colonies". I know they are very public on LDS forums and Facebook groups attempting to convert members to their teachings to include that reincarnation is LDS doctrine. The book is way out there. You can find it on Amazon and read reviews.

Terry found me on Facebook in April. He noticed that I am LDS and single. He sent me a message followed by one from LeAnn telling me about a man they know who is a former Bishop and a teacher on the Navajo Reservation. He contacted me and we began a friendship. I also spent time on the phone with Terry. In the beginning, Terry talks about visions he has seen and principles that I felt comfortable with, but after a period of time he started telling me very strange things. He told me that my friend (whom I will call Joe) was George Washington, and that he needs to find his wife, Martha, before the rescuers from the City of Enoch will come rescue him and translate him, and that he has a mission in the gathering in that area of Arizona and will be directing millions to Zion. He later told me he will also be an Apostle one day.

Terry and LeAnn also have quite a following in the northern Arizona area. They are energy healers as well and are always attending preparedness and healing workshops to recruit more followers for profit and for their religion. I understand that their Stake President was watching them in another area and after a period of time the heat was on them they moved to where they now are in Keyenta. They believe there are portals to the Enoch Colonies in Woodruff, Arizona, and Ephraim and Moab, Utah. They take groups to these areas and spend time in prayer to see the portals. And Terry gives blessings to members and tells them who they use to be.

Joe did propose to me, but I did not receive a witness that I was to marry him and concerned about his friendship with the Larsons and how he had been deceived by them. LeAnn messaged me on FB to attack me that I do not have faith and should be like Sarah to flee to be with Lehi. That was a sign these two were not okay. I have seen how they have hurt Joe, I have read their postings and comments on Facebook groups sharing their beliefs of reincarnation and their books, and the Administrators that continuously ban them, then they pop up somewhere else. I am very upset that they have hurt my friend. They target the vulnerable and lonely who need validation. And swoop in to tell them the amazing person that they use to be to lift them and give them hope. LeAnn even told me on the phone that Terry saw in a vision that he was the angel that caught the Prophet Joseph Smith after he was shot and fell from the window. That there were witnesses that recorded that a couple feet from the ground he paused in mid air before he hit the ground, and it was because Terry the angel caught him. Terry has also told me that he will be called to be an apostle some day.

I finally called their Bishop. I informed LeAnn on FB I was calling him, and her response was that Terry went to school with their Stake President so he would do nothing. So last week I had heard enough and I went to the top and called Elder Lynn G. Robbins over Arizona, and his Secretary confirmed that he is taking care of the matter. Just felt a need to warn others.

Sooo... Have any of them claimed to be Jesus Christ reincarnated yet?
22 For in those days there shall also arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch, that, if possible, they shall deceive the very elect, who are the elect according to the covenant.
23 Behold, I speak these things unto you for the elect’s sake; and you also shall hear of wars, and rumors of wars; see that ye be not troubled, for all I have told you must come to pass; but the end is not yet.
24 Behold, I have told you before;
25 Wherefore, if they shall say unto you: Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: Behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not;

Joseph Smith - Matthew
Arizona is a desert after all...

Wow, truth is stranger than fiction.

Thanks for posting.

It really makes me wonder: Are these false prophet types mentally ill, simply evil, visited by dark angels and deceived, are in it for the $ or what? I guess each case is different. All of these seem to have been the case for these last notable ones you all are familiar with.

Wow...my husband and I just watched the movie "Cokeville Miracle." This seems to be the substance of what the lunatic who tried to blow up the school with the children all in it believed. He wanted to have all these children reincarnated with him because they are young and not yet "tainted" by social and religious ideas. He was going to blow them all up so that they could be reincarnated with him in charge.

I suspect mental illness, fueled by a religion that allows for a wide range of very unusual experiences, like visions and so on.

I started to read that book, Enoch Colonies, and couldn't get past chapter 2 or 3 because everything seemed so wrong that I couldn't accept it.

If this story was fiction, it could even be entertaining. But now it is just ... I don't know what to say.

So why is it that everyone who believes they were reincarnated thinks they used to be someone important, famous, rich, or whatever? I'm pretty sure that if I was reincarnated, which thankfully I'm not, I would have been some slug who lived a life of drudgery, poverty, and uselessness. Just saying! :)

Unfortunately these type of of beliefs will only get more prevalent within the membership of the church. Energy healing is the catalysis. It opens doors to evil spirits by tapping into the alternate spiritual worlds. It dulls your ability to hear the still small voice of the Holy Ghost because of the use of muscle testing and other modalities that give immediate and tactile answers. My friend who introduced me to energy healing has developed some strange beliefs. And I worry for her. She believes that the earth is heavenly mother. She has begun to adopt Native American beliefs. She participates in sweat lodges and fire walks to train her body to obey her spirit. Which is a good thing, but not through such extreme measures. Not necessary! And dangerous physically and spiritually. I think we are only seeing the beginning of what energy healing will do to the members of the church. And in my opinion it is not going to be good.

The stuff espoused by these authors / books sounds like a combinaiton of JR and Sencer's "visions".

The previous post was spot on.

If these "visionaries", new age / progressive Mormons throw enough spiritual spaghetti on the wall, some of it will eventually stick. Unfortunately we see it sticking more and more these days.
