Re: Funny stuff
Maybe not so funny as it is puzzling.
Any math whizzes out there?
Disclaimer: I am not a math whiz. In fact, I never even learned all the times tables. I flunked algebra and got low marks in math classes.
But I came across this and thought it would be nice to see if anyone can come up with the answer that is associated with the question.

You don't understand what the market's communicating. A booming stock market means the dollar is tanking.Col. Flagg wrote: ↑October 2nd, 2015, 1:16 pm Here are the headlines on Drudge today:
JOBS DRY UP...
Record 94,610,000 Americans Not in Labor Force...
Participation Rate Lowest Since 1977...
Record 56,647,000 Women Not Working...
Jobs Up ONLY For IMMIGRANTS; Down 262,000 For 'Native-Borns'...
'Payrolls Disaster'...
'Fed never going to raise rates'...
IT'S UGLY!
FLASHBACK: IT'S GOING TO BE GREAT...
Bank Stocks Tumble...
Markets at 'panic levels'...
So I check the stock market... up 100! =)) Long live the PPT!!! :ymsick:
Look up the stock charts of Argentina, Venezuela, Turkey, and Zimbabwe right before their currencies collapsed.
Look familiar?

Either because not many people look at these posts, or the people that would be able to figure this out have not seen this post. I could have started a new thread but chose not to because I know the answer due to the video and could not have been able to come up with the answer had I have seen the question by itself.Silver Pie wrote: ↑October 26th, 2020, 4:26 pm5 hours, because Charlie talks a lot and slows everyone down.righteousrepublic wrote: ↑October 23rd, 2020, 6:30 pm Maybe not so funny as it is puzzling.

So, here is the whole problem. It is interesting how math works in so many ways. Even many college students failed giving the correct answer.

Yeah, I made the mistake they said was common to make. I didn't know if it was a trick question or not. For the most part, the explanation made sense to me.righteousrepublic wrote: ↑October 26th, 2020, 5:47 pmSo, here is the whole problem. It is interesting how math works in so many ways.
