Vladimir Putin has conscripted 150,000 new troops into the Russian army as the country unleashed a new wave of airstrikes in Syria - while and Iran and Islamist group Hezbollah prepare for a major ground offensive.
Hundreds of Iranian troops have arrived in Syria over the last ten days, backed by the country's Lebanese allies, Hezbollah, and rebel fighters from Iraq and Afghanistan, two Lebanese sources claimed today.
One of the sources said the Iranian ground forces were 'soldiers and officers', not advisers, adding: 'We mean hundreds with equipment and weapons. They will be followed by more.'
They are being supported by Russia's warplanes who bombed camps of rebel fighters trained by the CIA, one of the group's commanders claimed.
The White House said Russia's airstrikes in Syria were 'indiscriminate' and claimed its actions risk prolonging the conflict 'indefinitely'.
The comments were made after the first in a series of discussions between US and Russian leaders aimed at 'de-conflicting' operations in the country.

That's a lot of people to conscript for any country of the world. Makes you think what China would do if they went to war with someone. How many millions could they conscript?

Glad to see someone step up to help protect Syria.
China is stepping up too.
The US should be protecting Syria instead of trying to overthrow Syria.
The US wants to do to Syria what we did to Libya.
The US should be fighting ISIS not arming and pay-rolling ISIS.
The best way to fight ISIS is to kick all the Jews out of the Federal Reserve, SHUT IT DOWN, and let the US Congress again create and control the US money supply as per The Constitution.
Let Israel print and control their own money supply and finance their own wars.

Russia, like America, is corrupt to the core. They are anti-freedom rapist.
It is silly and naïve for one to think that Russia is in Syria because of altruism.
They have a diabolical agenda just like any other God forsaken government.
I agree; pray for all parties involved.

Sorry, not going to be praying for ISIS or any western advisers who might be helping them.

Hey guys - I just want to let you know that this information about Russia "drafting" 150,000 for a Syrian ground offensive is misinformation. I served in Russia on my mission, and my wife is also Russian, so I know something about this.
Here's the reality: Russia has a mandatory conscription for young males to serve in the military for a period of time, like many countries do. The conscription happens every spring and fall. And guess which season it is? Fall.
It just so happens that the Syrian air strikes have coincided with the season, nothing more. But the Western media has (again) skewed the truth on this matter. Whether or not it's intentional, I don't know - but this is misinformation at least, deliberate anti-Russian propaganda at worst.
Bottom line: I highly doubt Russia is going to be sending 150,000 troops to Syria any time soon, if ever. No major ground offensive on that kind of massive scale is coming in the foreseeable future.

Okay.
It's hard to pray for those that hate you, or to love your enemies. I certainly don't always do that; but I try.
I pray that the Isis folks will drop their weapons and turn around and go home. Once home, I pray they will see the light and come unto Christ.

More than one way to come unto Christ. China or Russia can dispatch them and maybe in the next life when their temple work is done they will convert. ;)

I feel ya! I feel that way too. But there is always that "delighting in bloodshed" problem.
I don't pray for their cause or actions. I pray they can stop themselves.
But to my point Russia and China are no Heros. They have their motives and agenda.

Russia (USSR) had an agenda in 1945 but they almost single-handedly defeated the Nazies. So yes, they are heroes today by destroying both America's terrorist armies in Syria and ISIS.
And no, I do not delight in the bloodshed of the wicked, but I instead look to save the blood of innocent Syrians and Kurds and the selling of 8 year old girls to be gang-raped by degenerates. So if Russia and China can erase these monsters then more power to them. Besides, in the next life they can convert -- much better security there.

I find it ironic you calling them bloodthirsty and in the same breath wishing for their death. I'm sure the Nephites felt the exact thing for the Lamanites. They have the excuse of it being the traditions of their fathers. What's yours?

Am I "bloodthirsty" towards animals if I am a farmer and a cougar kills my horses and I go out and hunt it down? The animal is only doing what is programmed in its genes to do, but as a defender of my property I have to put the animal down.
Now you are probably saying that these ISIS people are human, not animals. Yes, you would be right. The animal is ultimately innocent but as humans the ISIS members have choice, and they have made the wrong choice by shedding innocent blood, raping little girls and selling girls in slave markets. So their lives are far less important to me than a beautiful wild cougar.

ah, ok.
Well, in the same vein, I wouldn't call anyone involved a hero, per se. But I applaud anyone taking out ISIL.

Russia and China may not be the Hero but lets understand the villain.
ISIS has never attacked Israel because Zionists control it.

No but there is a huge difference between the Assad government that is secular and insures religious tolerance as opposed to the crazies that support ISIS out of the gulf states that make women wear bags over their heads and mutilating people's hands for owning Bibles.
How women are tolerated in Syria:

The Saudi king would never allow any of his wives out there without their faces covered. Mrs. Assad gives interviews to the press - think the wives of the Saudi king get to do that?

I understand what you are saying. I am not defending them in the least because they are terrorizing innocent lives. In fact it is our obligation to defend the innocent. My point in saying what I said is we as individuals must not desire to spill their blood as retribution for their actions. We should pray that they soften their hearts and repent. When they come upon the innocent we will not stay our weapons, but we should use every means possible to prevent them them from harming others. These people may mean nothing to you, but they mean a great deal to our Father and His Christ.

We don't need to look very far to see who is important to both God and Satan. A mirror will do nicely.
War does not change ideologies and neither does killing our enemies...it is the preaching of the word. This is why the converted Lamanites had success in removing the Gads from among them and the Nephites failed. This is also why the stone cut out of the mountain will fill the Earth. The gospel will destroy the philosophies of the world and reduce it to powder.
Charity and justice require us to protect the weak and innocent. The salvation of our own soul require that we do not delight in bloodshed nor seek the destruction of our enemies. Our Savior gave us sufficient instruction on how to deal with them. If we follow His counsel we will be justified in our dealings with them even if it results in their destruction.
