But youre right rewcox, associating sounding brass and tinkling/mincing with females. Though Paul (in 1Corinthians) meant it in a broader concept than what you quoted from Isaiah. In some pagan religions, women would use tinkling instruments, while the priests revealed false prophesies.

Paul meant it as having charity, or your words are no more worth than the music of idolatry. Even Nebuchadnezzar used music, and cast 3 in a furnace, when they did not fall down and worship the idol... Nothing to do really with your post, I just thought it was an interesting cultural thing that made me understand the Isaiah and Corinthians verses better

If I am translated, someone else will be preaching the gospel to you in the spirit world.

Rachael, I have seen you post that you think there is so much wrong in the Church and that it is all candy coated.
Rachael wrote:People still believe it when the spirit witnesses to them HE is REAL, despite that those He communicated to messed up.
We as Ephraim, haven't got it yet. We still candy coat and correlate. This needs to stop and I have faith the Lord will reveal Himself again whe we can knock it off with the duplicity
And then you post things about drinking alcohol and being drunk.

Have you considered cleansing the inner vessel first before you start talking about the need for the Church to be cleansed?

D&C 112:24-26:
24 Behold, vengeance cometh speedily upon the inhabitants of the earth, a day of wrath, a day of burning, a day of desolation, of weeping, of mourning, and of lamentation; and as a whirlwind it shall come upon all the face of the earth, saith the Lord.

25 And upon my house shall it begin, and from my house shall it go forth, saith the Lord;

26 First among those among you, saith the Lord, who have professed to know my name and have not known me, and have blasphemed against me in the midst of my house, saith the Lord"

I don't candy coat myself. WYSIWYG
But you have a good point.

I am aware of the fact that he will cleanse His Church, and when He does, it will be mostly members who will not live the gospel as put forth by His chosen and anointed servants.

I'm sure my turn will come, but it seems that I'm not first to take a bath per D&C 112

Your referring to his most recent "chosen and anointed", correct?

I'd bet it all, against whatever you have in your pocket, that you don't keep the WoW, either. Care to wager? Why be a hypocrite?
(Ps -I already admitted I don't live the WoW. I have never washed my body with strong drink, and I had a chicken cob salad yesterday - the croutons were out of season).

I had a great-great grandfather who set all kinds of records for ordinance work in the temple. He practically lived at the temple and yet he openly admitted that he could never give up tobacco. His leaders knew, but they didn't seem to mind.

I wonder if he has been cast in outer darkness for his weakness? :P

excuse me while I get into my ultimate piousness costume...
NO, HE HAS NOT BEEN CAST INTO OUTER DARKNESS.
HE HAS BEEN CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE, BEING TORMENTED ETERNALLY FOR HIS USE OF A LEAF. POUND PULPIT HERE.

Ok, I'm back. It took me a minute to get out of my pious suit...I must have gained some weight (no more croutons on the salad).

Judgment begins at the house of God, which is the temple. Jesus Christ revealed to one of His prophets on the earth that a person must abstain from coffee, tea, alcohol, and tobacco in order to be worthy to enter the temple. The saints must also pay their tithing, keep the law of chastity, and keep the Sabbath holy among other things.

I don't agree that the Lord told a prophet to enforce the WoW as a commandment. I think it was HJG, freelancing in the name of the Lord.

It is a good thing the judgment didn't come on His house back in the days when entrance to the temple was based on irrigation water flow and how you treated wandering animals.

So, Jesus Christ's prophet on the earth was just "freelancing" when he said you must abstain from coffee, tea, alcohol, and tobacco to enter the temple but you, Obrien, have had personal revelations on what is required for celestial glory?
