A prophet has told us that if a person drinks coffee, tea, or alcohol, they are not worthy to enter the temple, and since judgment begins at the house of God, people who consume such liquids are sacrificing eternal life.
What about the lardasses who eat like there's no tomorrow, but can still waddle through the temple door? Will they be judged, too?
Somebody has to feed the zombies when they come, right?

Maybe being obese in spirit is a GOOD thing. How can you overfeed your spirit?

They probably look like some anorexic teen, or child on a Christian's Childrens Fund commercial if we had spiritual eyes to see ourselves, even if we weighed 400lbs temporally.

And brain matter is mostly fat. Zombies like brain. It must be due to a craving of their physical deficiencies, since they act mindless. Makes sense.

"At a reception McKay attended, the hostess served rum cake. “All the guests hesitated, watching to see what McKay would do. He smacked his lips and began to eat.” When one guest expostulated, “‘But President McKay, don’t you know that is rum cake?’ McKay smiled and reminded the guest that the Word of Wisdom forbade drinking alcohol, not eating it."
I would assume the coffee flavoring in ice cream would not violate the Word of Wisdom. As for the story about David O. McKay allegedly "eating" rum cake, it sounds like nothing more than a made up story. You would think that if such an incident was witnessed by "all the guests," there would be many who would immediately make it public and many could vouch for the story.
For your information most coffee flavored ice creams are flavored with coffee. For example: http://www.haagendazs.us/Products/Product/2455" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Yes, Yum! (Rum! too).

Didn't one of the wise ones that helped write the Constitution state that :"Beer( or MBDs?) is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy"?

It helped in cholera and dysentery outbreaks, and considering my municipal water supply, still would. Always a boil ordinance delivered about two weeks-month after the fact, no need for exlax, just drink from the tap. Congrats, youve been ingesting brain eating amoebas for the last couple of weeks! That is pretty much the jist of what these notices state when stripped of the candy coating.

Opting for MBD might be more healthy? Buy water in plastic jugs when the research says the chemicals from pvcs leach out and cause cancer...boiling this stuff doesn;t always work. This crap could probably survive like those microbes thriving in those high temp, oceanic volcano vents.

Pop a top, and still be unhappy. Especially when it was your last one and the local liquor store closed for the night

Franco, the rum cake story is quoted in one of your favorite books, David O McKay and the Rise of Modern Mormonism. ;)
It is on page 23, footnote 86 for chapter one. Google books did not display the page that said what footnote 86 is referencing. I would appreciate an attribution for the story.
The footnote reads --- Leonard J Arrington, "Adventures of a Church Historian" 41-42.

Me too. I have begged the Lord so many times to forgive me for believing and promoting such noise. I continue to repent.

I have used so much of the WoW to dig a pit for my neighbors.

I see that Jeremy conveniently left out why they would be "sacrificing eternal life," which is that a prophet has told us that if a person drinks coffee, tea, or alcohol, they are not worthy to enter the temple, and judgment begins at the house of God, the temple.

Do either of you believe that judgment begins at the house of God, the temple, or do you disagree?

So are you advocating avoidance of the temple, to avoid judgment?

I disagree. Are we not judged during the temple recommend interview before we go to the temple. If yes, then judgement begins at the chapel. BUT I disagree with that as well. Judgements begin long before that.

You are the temple of God. But God is far more concerned with what comes out of your mouth than what goes in it.

I wonder if Joseph risked eternal life when he requested wine on his last day in order to gladen his heart?

Of course he did. He actually lost his eternal life by drinking the wine. It is a sad cautionary tale. Strict obedience must be paid to all the non-commandments given in the scripture... ;)

No one can avoid the Savior's judgment, and if a Latter-day Saint has ignored the counsel from Jesus Christ's prophets and thus is not worthy to enter the temple, such an one is not worthy to enter into the presence of God in the Celestial Kingdom.
