Isn't this exactly what Obama is doing? Just printing money without any silver or gold backing, just having a "full faith and credit" of the U.S. government? In other words, Nixon implied "take our paper dollars or don’t".

So I have a question, why if they just print money, do they continually take our money, the fruit of our labor. I know this is a particular hardship for many. For example, I "owe" $1,500 NOW, why don't they just print that money?

I do know the answer, it's just baffling to me how all of us allow this to go on
