Hello everyone. Long time lurker, first time poster, checking in! Has anyone ever beard of such a thing happening on a THURSDAY night? They canceled all youth and scouting activities and just informed everyone last night. Has this ever happened to anyone? Possibly a big announcement? I mean, if it wasn't too urgent, wouldn't they just wait til' Sunday to hold the meeting?

Seriously? They cancelled everything and called an "emergency" meeting just to address a common issue that gets addressed in every General Conference and a large percentage of sacrament meetings?

I attended such a meeting once. It was for parents though and it specifically addressed pornography, sexual activity and prevailing attitudes of the youth about the same. It was sobering and I would have considered such an "emergency".

Whoops. I was so tired this morning I totally forgot it was Thursday. I'll let you all know what it's about later tonight. It could be something simple, but I just found it a bit odd that they'd give everyone a day's warning and make it 21+. If it was porn, teenage boys, and possibly even girls, 12+ should be attending. If it was something to do with home teaching, priesthood responsibility, or family, why wouldn't they plan it out on a Sunday? Hmmm.
