I think because Dateline brings to mind the television program that highlights a lot of bizarre stories of crime, intrigue, etc.

LOL OK, I see now. I'm not familiar with the TV program though I don't watch much TV.I think because Dateline brings to mind the television program that highlights a lot of bizarre stories of crime, intrigue, etc.
The "Dateline" we used was a pre Internet service where you filled out a paper questionnaire and mailed it in via US mail along with your check for $20 and they sent you a list of names
of people in your area you were supposedly compatible with. I guess it worked we've been married 28 years now and have two grown kids so I'm thinking it may last.

Re: Where did you meet your spouse?
I would recommend that all singles wards plan more service projects. Plant bulbs at temple square. Sponsor a tree at Festival of Trees. Do a Sub-for-Santa. Help out with a merit badge University or Pow Wow. Do some work for the National Forest Service. Rake leaves at a Cemetary. Put on a Christmas pagent at a nursing home. etc.Wow. That's quite impressive from a singles ward.
But then, I'm in a YSA in downtown SLC. There has been one engagement in the entire ward this year, that is among those who belong to the ward.

I totally agree. I find it practically impossible to meet people at dances. Service projects are more uplifting and easier to socialize.davedan wrote:I would recommend that all singles wards plan more service projects. Plant bulbs at temple square. Baghdad, Iraq in the green zone at LDS services. Thanks Sadam for giving me marble floors to dance my way into my wife's heart!
