I was just thinking as some know Zoin or new jerusalem will be built within our hearts and as a real city. So what about babylon does any one think that it will be rebuilt, as new jerusalem will be built?

Yes, it will definitely be rebuilt. That's what prophecy in the book of Revelation speaks of.

I kinda assumed that in many ways, modern Babylon in scripture can be a reference to both the world and the city of Bagdad of Iraq being only miles from the original site of Babylon.

The physical city of Babylon already exists. It goes by the names New York, San Francisco, Jacksonville, Atlanta, Chicago, Rio De Jenero, London, etc.

Just as there is a new Garden of Eden in Jackson Co. Missouri, there will be a new Babylon in the "new world" of America.

There is no waiting for Babylon, she is with us already. As Mes5464 pointed out, Babylon is every city. If you do not believe it, you are likely caught in the midst of her and don't know it. Our problem is not finding Babylon, it is finding Zion. We must learn to come out of this world of form and into the spiritual realm. The more we recognize the spiritual and understand Zion the clearer we will distinguish Babylon.
