Re: Number of Snuffer followers
If you don't know if you are a Denver Snuffer follower, I think I can help you figure it out:
You are a follower of Denver Snuffer if:
You've been rebaptized in the manner outlined by Denver and by someone who was 'sustained' by seven women.
You have or are seeking seven women to 'sustain' your priesthood.
If you are female and you are one of the 'sustaining' women in a group.
You may still be 'on the fence' if you haven't 'jumped in' completely, but you will probably become a follower if:
You are a regular attendee at meetings with the community of believers and pay tithing to them and continue to reinforce the teachings and doctrines you've learned from Denver's writings/lectures.
You are a 'follower' of his if you show by your actions that you believe he has 'authority' to tell you to do certain things and if you look to him to teach you how to gain Eternal life. You see him as having knowledge to teach you how to do this.
'Followers' of Denver Snuffer will act on the things he has taught them. They will acknowledge that he has 'authority' to give them directives which cause them to act or change behavior.
'Followers' will point to Denver's spiritual experiences as 'proof' that he has authority to speak for god and will trust and believe the things he tells them.
If any of that sounds like you--you're a 'follower'. Hope this helps.

Re: Number of Snuffer followers
Denver Snuffer has ultimately don't nothing more than lead people away from the Lord's organized church.
He will face the Lord and the Lord shall judge him according to his works, just as He will judge us all according to our works and the desires of our hearts.
My desire is to bring people to know Christ and join His Church (though faith, repentance, baptism and receiving the Holy Ghost) as he directed it to be established by Joseph Smith. The canonized revelation given by Jesus Christ states that His Church shall be called, in the last days, "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints".
There is no other earthly organization in existence that the Lord has claimed as His own. Any who direct others away from this will be judged accordingly. I will do everything I can to be able to tell the Lord that I always encouraged faith in His gospel and membership in His organized church.

I think Denver knows Christ personally and I believe that Christ has asked Denver to give his recent 10 talks. Even if that isn't true, what he teaches aligns more with the scriptures than our correlated manuals and conference talk after conference talk where the general authorities practically only quote each other.

Re: Number of Snuffer followers
Did you expect the church to never change? If so, what purpose is there in having a living Prophet and continuing revelation? Why didn't the Lord just restore a church where only Joseph Smith received revelations, set it up in it's perfected state, sans 12 Apostles who would later have no purpose when Joseph was gone? Why did the Lord not simply give the members scripture and tell them to follow what Joseph set up as it was organized and not deviate in any way, shape or form? If you want that kind of church, you'll have to set it up your own or choose one of the other existing break offs because TCofJCofLDS has NEVER been run like that; it was the Lord's will that a living Prophet would lead the church--and he would actually receive revelations--which would mean changes.AGStacker wrote:I think Denver knows Christ personally and I believe that Christ has asked Denver to give his recent 10 talks. This hostility toward change in the fundamentalist approach to the church is illogical--Fundamentalism has no place in a church which is guided by a living, breathing, Prophet at the helm. That was the whole point of Joseph saying that living Prophets trumped scriptures.
Of what value is continuing revelation when members insist that nothing can be changed or altered?
Now, if you want to say that you don't believe Pres. Monson is inspired and you want a new prophet, I understand that--but that will still mean changes, can you not see that? Denver is not the Prophet and his followers are mixed as to whether he is or isn't, but if he was, he'd be making changes also--like saying that men cannot hold priesthood unless seven women 'sustain' them. And what is the scriptural basis for that?
Frankly, I don't see that he sticks to the scriptures that much, rather some people just like his interpretation of scripture better. It fits their paradigm.

Nah, that doesn't count. Most of us got to the talks before he did.ajax wrote:You forgot about those who went out to their way to follow him to every lecture location.Jezebel wrote: There are those who are terribly concerned about whether or not they are "following" Denver because Denver said, don't follow me. He also has talked a lot about the LDS mentality of "follow the prophet" in a negative way. And so these people are adamantly denying that they are following Denver when they really are.
There are those who wait eagerly for every post. There are those who insist that everyone should read everything that Denver writes. There are those who discuss everything he has said at length with others. They are very strongly concerned about Dennver's exact wording and the precise meaning of his words.

Re: Number of Snuffer followers
Could, in any way, this scripture have anything to do with the idea of seven women approving anything? I don't see anywhere in scripture remotely suggesting this assertion by Snuffer. Where would he get such lame doctrine?
Isa. 4:1 (1–6)
1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.
2 In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.
3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:
4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.
5 And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.
6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

L-Denver-Snuffer-FF, good one Doc!BroJones wrote:I don't.marc wrote:Well, by some of those definitions, it stands to reason that I do follow Denver Snuffer....
To be specific (again), I have received a personal witness that Jesus WILL return to Adam-ondi-Ahman, in Missouri -- which Denver Snuffer casts doubt upon, wrongly!
Frankly, it makes me kinda sick the way he seeks to recruit good LDSaints to his way of thinking, casting doubt here, casting aspersions there.
But I will admit that those who "follow" or "heed" or "adhere to" (choose your verb)
Snuffer's teachings post more often here than those who do not, that is, at L-Denver-Snuffer-FF.
Why don't they just go away.

Re: Number of Snuffer followers
I never hear of Denver Snuffer until I came to this website a few says ago. From what I have gathered, he is an apostate to whom other apostates look for validation as they contend against Jesus Christ's anointed servants in these latter days.
