When books were in great supply in college I would check out and read multiple books at a time. Right now I'm down to two at a time.

I absolutely perfectly understand this "problem". I currently am reading four. I have to admit, though...I have found that the older I get the more my sense of concentration seems befuddled!!!

I have always had the same problem, I'm currently reading the following all at the same time:
1) The God Seed - M. Catherine Thomas
2) The Anatomy of Peace - The Arbinger Institute
3) The Fifth Way: A Western Journey to the Hebrew Heart of Jesus - David Brisbin
4) Passing the Heavenly Gift - Denver Snuffer
5) The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself - Michael Singer
6) The Abridging Works: The Epic and Historic Book of Mormon - Daymon Smith

It can definitely be a problem, as I don't always devote the attention I'd like to towards a single book or the author's intent.

I can't go there. They will probably shuffle me of to a heretics/apostate recovery program presided over by the SP in regards to the other half of the books I'm reading.
So, are you going to list your books on this thread?

-Essays: Three Degrees - Denver Snuffer
-Friend of God: The Passion of Judas Iscariot - J Allan Danelek
-The Fifth Way: A Western Journey to the Hebrew Heart of Jesus - David Brisbin
-War: A Book of Mormon Perspective: How The War Chapters of the Book of Mormon Warn Against Wars of Aggression and the Warfare State - Kendal Anderson
-How Adam Smith Can Change Your Life: An Unexpected Guide to Human Nature and Happiness - Russ Roberts
-The Vatican Exposed: Money, Murder, and the Mafia - Paul Williams
-When In The Course of Human Events: Arguing the Case for Southern Secession - Charles Adams
-Emancipating Slaves, Enslaving Free Men: A History of the American Civil War - Jeffrey Rogers Hummel
-Removing the Condemnation - Denver Snuffer

Crap, it's actually ten! #-o

You mean I got someone else to read The Fifth Way? I hope you are enjoying it, and his insights into the hebrew Jesus. It's actually my second time through it, and I'm loving it all over again.

He's also got a great series of podcasts here - http://theeffect.org/resources/messages.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - my wife and I like to listen to them when we are cooking together or on Sundays. Really really good stuff.

Yeah, I had some points on amazon and I took your recommendation. I'm only on chapter 3 and based on the rotation of the other 9, I should get to chapter 4 sometime next week, maybe. :))

I usually read only one book at a time. At most, I might have one work of fiction and one nonfiction book at the same time, and sometimes a collection of short stories in the side.
