Birthdays in Heaven
Here's another fun question to ponder and discuss.
Assume the following two:
You were born as a spirit child of heavenly parents(standard church doctrine, but apparently some people disagree).
You were born as a physical child of earthly parents(obviously).
Do we celebrate birthdays in Heaven? If you believe yes, which one(spiritual birth/physical birth/both)? Why?
EDIT(emphasis added):
This is NOT a doctrinal discussion. Just a fun what if, use your imagination. :ymparty:
If this idea of birthdays in Heaven offends you, don't play the game. Keep in mind that posting your annoyance/disagreement on this topic is like walking into a room full of dudes playing Halo and telling them their game is stupid. This topic is just a game.
If for some reason you feel a dying need to scratch your naysayer itch, we gamers may decide to have a little fun and annoy the heck out of you. :o)

Re: Birthdays in Heaven
The first shall be last and the last shall be first: Has a few interpretation, one of them is we are first made spiritual body then physical then spiritual again then physical (Resurrection). I am going to celebrate the last and final state day of resurrection!! :-\ even if it is a telestrial Resurrection. One big BD bash for those like me, plenty of us on the same day :ymparty:

Re: Birthdays in Heaven
LOL! Wait, wouldn't having birthdays in heaven symbolize the passing of time where time is only a dimension on this sphere?
But then if there is no "time" in heaven, how are things tracked as they are accomplished if it is one eternal "now"?
@-) Perhaps I wonder too much? ;)

Not really meaning to be a damp rag here but birthdays are purely a ego thing and have place in Heaven.

It's fine, would you like me to hang you up to dry?TrishaStP wrote:Not really meaning to be a damp rag here but birthdays are purely a ego thing and have place in Heaven.

Re: Birthdays in Heaven
You could just create an entire universe just to be your alarm clock, set it on your dresser like those marbles in Men In Black. Every time the Big Bang goes off, you're like: "Oh, is it that time? Better get Hermes to send out the invites for my BD Bash, wait, not my bro Hades, that guy really knows how to kill a party..." :-BOnGoing wrote:LOL! Every birthday, I'd go bother the crew of the USS Enterprise because... its Heaven I assume they're up there, waiting for me to go all Q on them.

how old is god? how long does it take him to recite his age?
however, I can't believe that he does not experience time. It's a weakness of mine

Good question! I've been wondering how many sun candles would be needed for His cake.braingrunt wrote:how old is god? how long does it take him to recite his age?

It is often called the anniversary of their baptism.
You can also call this the day of your spiritual resurrection too, which is VERY significant.

It's been so long since I lived on an earth, I've forgotten when my birthday is. Wait! A day here was a thousand years back then. Heck, forget waiting around to celebrate every eon or so (these birthdays), I'll celebrate my birthday (from earth) every couple of minutes or so. :ymparty: :ymapplause:
